Traditional Chinese restaurant with a large variety of dishes, recommended to us by friends from Shanghai. Large and delicious dishes, Peking duck, seafood, pork and more. Reservations are required because the place fills up with Chinese in the evening, service is quite weak and slow, price per person around 25-30 euros

The owner is from Suining, and the taste is quite authentic.

The food was fantastic; we've rarely had such good, authentic Chinese food in Germany outside of China. Sichuan cuisine, with its spiciness, certainly isn't for everyone, but we found it delicious. The staff (it's a family-run restaurant) were also very welcoming. We'll definitely be back!

The service is very bad. Chinese people should not go there. The waiter really dislikes Chinese people and yells at them the whole time. I am very unhappy.

The pickled sea bass had fish scales and tasted a bit fishy. The twice-cooked pork tasted good but was a bit hard to chew. It didn't have that chewy texture but it wasn't hard to chew! The lamb skewers were reasonably priced, but they were very dry!

At 6pm on Sunday, there was a seat even without reservation. I wanted something spicy, so I ordered the classic Sichuan boiled fish on the waiter's recommendation. It was very delicious, the spiciness was just right, the bean sprouts and broad peony root were fresh and tasty; I ordered shrimp dumplings for my one-year-old baby, and he enjoyed them very much. In short, it was a very satisfying dining experience, and I will come again!

One of the more underrated restaurants in Düsseldorf, especially in the asian scene. This is by far my favourite chinese restaurant, very authentic. Even my chinese friends from chongqing (where this restaurants dishes are based off) are raving about how good and authentic it is. I went here several times and ate most of the dishes but by far my favourites are disanxian (the aubergine), cumin potato and tofu egg, lamb skewer, the spicy chicken appetizer and honestly many more. Lamb skewer however this time were a bit dry. The service was nice and friendly, and patient with explaining some of the menu. The place was also nice and clean. Theres even a private dining room. Really a great restaurant for spicy chinese food. Come here if you crave authentic chinese. The only thing is that the prices are quite high though.

This place is such a gem if you like flavorful foods. We ordered Suan la fen 酸辣粉(Sour spicy Sichuan soup), lamb skewers and preserved eggs. Everything was really delicious, can’t wait to try more dishes from that place. Definitely coming back

If u charge similar amounts to Tang Wang, Mama Cai and HoJan, then u should serve similar quality. For this price I can only give you two stars. The peanuts and potatoes were old, dishes were a bit bland and drenched in oil. Lower your prices by about a third and you'll get 4 Stars.

The shop is very clean. Two aquariums decorate the guest room and are very well maintained. However, the food looks better than it tastes. Rather bland and below average. The price/performance ratio is absolutely not right here! The beef with five spices for €9 was very, very dry. The sweet and sour pork for €17 tastes like any boring Chinese buffet, only here with more breading and less meat. The duck with pancakes was a winner for €24: 6 rubbery mini flat cakes and some medium quality meat. The service employee was very friendly, the boss not so much. The food was very tasty. But I had the most horrible stomachache afterwards that lasted for several days and wasn't able to sleep because I felt so dreadful. It's a pity as I did really enjoy the food and found it to be very yummy and authentic, but after the awful 'runs' I don't think I want to risk it again.

We had a dinner around 8 PM today. The atmosphere was disgusting and not welcoming at all. The closure is 22 PM and we had enough time. But the owner was so unkind from the beginning. The fried green veggie was not properly cut (simply cut in half and stem end remains) so it was very difficult to eat. There was no rice served despite salty food. The owner discriminated the other Chinese clients with non-Chinese clients. They were so grumpy without saying "thanks" but charging us with no receipt.

Chuan Wei Chuan is a charming Chinese restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. The service is friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The food is traditional and excellently prepared, and while the prices are a bit on the higher side, they're well worth it for the quality and ambiance.

The taste is okay, but the rice costs 2.5 per person and is not marked. I only found out when I checked out. The rice is also very poor and cooked very hard.

Authentic si chuan cuisine. As a Chinese, I really enjoy eating here. It is an original Chinese cuisine specializing in hot and spicy specialties. There are a lot of Chinese people here. If you are not Chinese, it is advisable to ask for the menu for the original Chinese cuisine, otherwise you will only find what you can find everywhere. Personally, I thought it was better back then. Unfortunately, mouthwatering chicken wasn't as good as I hoped and other dishes were ok too. The only good thing was the water spinach. Portions have also become smaller :/ I'll still come back because I like the staff. Otherwise it would be 3 stars from my side.

First visited in the plague year of 2020, right after things got a tiny bit more relaxed. Been back in August and Sep, 2023 after moving across the Atlantic to the greater Düsseldorf area. First, on food. The menu is wide, by German Chinese restaurant standards. The dry pots are highly satisfying. The pork belly in fermented tofu sauce was lackluster when my friend and I tried it in September. The green string beans are flatter and broader than the more typical variety used for this dish, the effect is a touch more tenderness and less crunchiness, I quite like it this way. Second, but to some more importantly, the vibe. On my late August visit for dinner, the place was buzzing with a warm community vibe. There was Mandarin, Sichuan dialect, German and some other European languages flowing around. There were family with baby and business travelers. The sassy looking boss was giving kind reminders to two men who were catching a train later, “ You have xx minutes left before you’d better set out so you don’t miss your train.” I ended chatting with her, who seems to be the boss, a little. She loves good food and hunting down good restaurants is a big priority in her travels. Haha, it takes passion to run a good restaurant.
