Altes Fischerhaus in Düsseldorf

2024 and new operator: My wife's birthday, a Saturday at 6:00 p.m., we had a table reservation for 2 people for 6:00 p.m. After about 10 minutes of waiting at the door, still wearing a coat, with waiters constantly rushing past, someone finally came to ask about the reservation and then hurried off again without a word for 5 minutes. After what felt like an endless wait at the door, we had the impression that there was no table available despite my reservation. We were then placed in a side/service room outside the kitchen without any further explanation. The same thing happened to a group of 4 people who arrived at the same time. Our table was in the middle of the waiters' preparation area in front of the bar in the passage with visual and olfactory kitchen contact; Due to operational reasons, it was no more comfortable than in a train station hall. We didn't want to wait until another table became available, which was offered to us because of our dissatisfaction, and preferred to spontaneously go to another restaurant. It was a lovely evening. Just not in the Old Fisherman's House. The food in the Fischerhaus is probably quite good, which we couldn't determine or evaluate. However, I would recommend having a table reservation confirmed by telephone shortly before the appointment. 2022: Valentine's menu. Tasty, well put together, first class service, the atmosphere is very nice.

Einen seit Tischreservierung mehrfach erwähnten, sehr hohen runden Geburtstag bei der Ansprache/Begrüßung, beim Abendessen & der Tischdekoration restlos zu ignorieren, spricht für das Gesamtkonzept. Hier trifft viel Ambition (ja, die Renovierung ist gelungen!) auf schlechte Umsetzung. Die nicht vorhandene, den Anlass hätte würdigende Deko und das Verhalten mal ausblendend: Sehr kleine Pastaportionen (5 gefüllte Ravioli), totgebratener, trockener Senfrostbraten (medium bestellt), Kalbsleber mit Pestosauce (??) garniert, ungewürztes Rumpsteak, … uninspirierte x-fach wechselnde Bedienungen, die sehr lange auf sich warten lassen, wenig auskunftsfähig sind, sich mehr mit Ihren kleinen Bestell-Handhelds und miteinander beschäftigen, als sich um den Gast zu kümmern, gerne mal „über den Tisch“ bedienen, sowie Gläser und Besteck vergessen. Insgesamt kein professioneller Eindruck, zumal sich auch das gastronomische Gesamtkonzept nicht wirklich erschließt - mediterran, lokal, Fisch, Fusion?? Nach mehrmonatigem Betrieb des neuen „Alten Fischerhauses“ sind derlei Schwächen sicherlich nicht mit Startproblemen zu begründen, sondern liegen irgendwo zwischen „nicht können“ und „nicht wollen“ und lassen einen weiteren Besuch dort wenig verlockend erscheinen.

Today we tried the goose from the additional menu and can say that, as always, we enjoyed it very much at the Fischerhaus. I recommend that everyone always look at the dishes on the board, the dishes change depending on the season and are always perfectly prepared. The good food here is complemented by the super friendly service. Here you will even received personally by the boss. In summer you can enjoy a bottle of wine from the diverse range on the terrace.

It was our first time in the Fischerhaus and we were really impressed. The next time is already being planned!!!

PLEASE revise your reservation system. In 2024 there must be a better alternative to "calling 10 times until someone answers the phone." Were enthusiastic regulars of the old fisherman's house, but having to redial every time for 20 minutes until someone answers the phone is extremely annoying, to say the least.

Doesn't work anymore after reopening. The service is underground. We are from the immediate neighborhood and wanted to test out the new location. We were not greeted by the staff on the terrace but were seated at a table. Shortly afterwards we were told to leave the (unset) table again because we had a reservation. Also, please don't sit on the porch. We then canceled our visit and left. Apparently the service here is already overwhelmed by the reception of the guests. The card is rather ordinary and normal. You won't find the French and Mediterranean specialties described on the internet. For us it means we just give one star and listen to what the neighbors say. So far we have not heard any positive feedback in our area. Addendum for the second attempt: The food was good. The service is still subpar. Monotonously, inattentively, slowly. And above all, unfriendly. Most service staff have their faces clenched into a fist and the smile is only turned on for a few seconds and does not reach the eyes. At the indoor counter you are completely ignored as a guest

There were 6 of us there and everyone was very happy with their food. Only the price for a glass of Füchschen Alt 0.25 liters is a bit too expensive at 3.20 euros. The glass is available at the Brauhaus Düsseldorf for 2.85 euros.

Nice service. After the change of ownership the quality has changed. Food was very salty, when I asked I was told that the chef was probably in love. Service couldn't tell me what the blue substance on the plate was. Ambiance is good. Value for money is not justified.

After renovation (until around the end of 2023), the old fisherman's house has become really beautiful. And the quality of the service and food is really good, even with the new operator. A great place to end a beautiful summer day.

Excellent cuisine with a view of the Rhine.

Über Essen, Service und Ambiente kann ich leider nichts sagen, weil es dazu erst gar nicht kam: Wir waren gestern Nachmittag mit unserm Oldtimer unterwegs und kamen spontan an dieser Lokalität vorbei und wollten einkehren. Als wir die Terrasse betraten forderte ein Mann, der an einem Tisch saß, meinen Mann auf seine Schuhe, die er aus Gründen gerade in der Hand trug, sofort anzuziehen. Mit lauter Stimme echauffierte sich der Mann, was wir denken würden, wo wir geraden wären. Mein Mann begann ohne Antwort oder Zögern seine Schuhe anzuziehen. Der Mann erhob sich sogleich, verwies uns der Terrasse. Jetzt fragte mein Mann ruhig und freundlich mit wem er es zu tun hätte. Ob der Mann der Chef dieses Restaurants sei. Das würde uns überhaupt nichts angehen entgegneter der Mann laut und für alle anwesenden Gäste auf der Terrasse hörbar, indem er immer näher auf uns zukam. Ich beendete die Situation indem ich bekundete, dass ich kein Interesse mehr hätte dort etwas zu mir zu nehmen und bat meinen Mann zu gehen. Trotzdem setzte der Mann nochmals nach und polterte laut hinter uns her, dass es auch besser sei zu gehen und dass Menschen wie wir nicht willkommen seien. Muss man das verstehen? Wir werden es nicht noch einmal versuchen! Nachtrag: Wie ich gerade erfahren habe, handelt es sich bei "dem Mann" um Herrn Franjo Primorac! Der Chef höchst persönlich!

We were in the Fischerhaus for the first time and absolutely loved it! The price is great, the food is absolutely fresh and very, very tasty! 😋 We sat outside and it's great with a view of the Rhine. I think the terrace could use a little more flowers or a few green plants, but that's my personal taste! Overall it's a great restaurant. Highly recommended. It is also tastefully decorated inside!

Unfortunately I can't say anything about the food, service and ambience because that didn't even happen: Yesterday afternoon we were driving our vintage car and spontaneously passed this place and wanted to stop off. As we entered the terrace, a man sitting at a table asked my husband to immediately put on his shoes, which he was carrying in his hand for reasons. The man wondered in a loud voice what we would think where we were. My husband began to put on his shoes without response or hesitation. The man immediately got up and directed us to the terrace. Now my husband calmly and kindly asked who he was dealing with. Whether the man is the boss of this restaurant. That wouldn't be any of our business, the man replied loudly and audibly for all the guests present on the terrace as he came closer and closer to us. I ended the situation by saying that I was no longer interested in eating there and asked my husband to leave. Nevertheless, the man continued and rumbled loudly after us that it would be better to leave and that people like us were not welcome. Do you have to understand that? We won't try again! Addendum: As I just found out, "the man" is Mr. Franjo Primorac! The boss himself!

Disastrous service, food unacceptable, prices unreasonable

We come from the immediate neighborhood, about 500 meters away. Curious about the “new ones in the Fischerhaus”, we got a first impression on the internet. Menu, ambience and opening times. Walkthrough open from 12:00 to 11:00 p.m. We picked up our 90-year-old father from home and drove to the fisherman's house. When we arrived at the parking lot, our first impression was confusing. Something is wrong here. So I initially got out alone to clarify the situation. Several people come towards me with long faces. It shouldn't be any different for me. In the entrance area the open door was blocked with a chair. On the back there was a board with the inscription: “Today only with registration”. It was then explained to me that you can only eat in this restaurant if you register. This would never have been different. Maybe a note on the homepage would be useful. Fortunately, there are some other good restaurants in Urdenbach and the surrounding area. In any case, we will avoid the Fischerhaus from now on. Best regards from the neighborhood!!

There were four of us, four different dishes and they were all very tasty 😋

Für Samstag Abend einen Tisch (4 Personen) reserviert. Als wir kamen, war ein heilloses Durcheinander und Chaos. Entweder kamen mehr Gäste zur gleichen Zeit als geplant, oder es fehlte min.1 Person im Service und/oder in der Küche. Alle rannten hektisch umher, um die Leute zu platzieren. Okay, wir hatten dann einen schönen Tisch mit Blick auf den Rhein. Unser zuständiger Kellner war sehr freundlich und professionell. Es sagte uns schon bei der Bestellung, dass es heute etwas länger dauern kann. Gut, kann ja mal sein, wenn viel los ist. Aber dass es dann doch 2 Std. waren, bis unser Essen kam, ist nicht akzeptabel. Vielleicht haben wir auch einfach nur einen schlechten Tag erwischt. Das wissen wir natürlich nicht. Zum Essen : Wir waren zum ersten mal da, und man hatte uns das Lokal schon öfters empfohlen. Die Fischsuppe als Einstieg war gut. Nicht Sensationell, einfach nur gut. Das dieses kleine „Süppchen“ einen stolzen Preis hatte, war uns ja schon vorher bewusst. Das diese auf der Karte als Bouillabaisse (und auch noch à la Marseille) angepriesen wurde, war schon mutig. Eine echte Bouillabaisse (hatten wir vor einigen Wochen noch in Brüssel) ist noch etwas anderes, und auch etwas mehr drin. Von jeder Zutat einer original Bouillabaisse eines in das kleine Suppentasse würde auch gar nicht rein passen. Aber wie schon beschrieben, war trotzdem gut. Die Hauptspeisen : Garnelen Teller = leider geschmacklich irgendwie „muffig“. Wie in der Mikrowelle aufgewärmt !? Keine Ahnung. Kross gebratener Lachs = Von „Kross“ keine Spur, aber sonst okay. Bei Lachs kann man eh nichts falsch machen. Die Beilagen waren auch okay. Saltimbocca Maispoularde = war auch okay. Gefüllte Ravioli mit Steinpilzen und Trüffel = auch okay. Fazit : Die vielen Empfehlungen als besonderes Restaurant mit besonderes gutem Essen, können wir leider nicht bestätigen. Die etwas höheren Preise sind in dieser Wohngegend eigentlich normal, und auch soweit okay. Das Lokal hat einen großen Parkplatz, und wenn man (wie wir) einen Fensterplatz hat, ist es auch nett. Das Personal war, wie schon erwähnt, sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und kompetent. Das Essen war überwiegend enttäuschend.

We were disappointed. Reserved a table (4 people) for Saturday evening. When we arrived it was a complete mess and chaos. Either more guests arrived at the same time than planned, or at least one person was missing from service and/or the kitchen. Everyone was frantically running around to seat people. Okay, we then had a nice table with a view of the Rhine. Our waiter in charge was very friendly and professional. We were told when we ordered that it might take a little longer today. Well, that can happen when there's a lot going on. But the fact that it took 2 hours for our food to arrive is unacceptable. Maybe we just had a bad day. Of course we don't know that. About the food: It was our first time there and the restaurant had been recommended to us several times. The fish soup to start with was good. Not sensational, just good. We were already aware that this little “soup” had a hefty price tag. The fact that this was advertised on the menu as Bouillabaisse (and also à la Marseille) was quite bold. A real bouillabaisse (we had it in Brussels a few weeks ago) is something else, and also has a little more in it. One of every ingredient in an original bouillabaisse wouldn't fit in the small soup bowl. But as already described, it was still good. The main courses: Shrimp plate = unfortunately somehow “musty” in taste. Like reheated in the microwave!? No idea. Crispy fried salmon = no trace of “crispy”, but otherwise okay. You can't go wrong with salmon anyway. The side dishes were okay too. Saltimbocca corn poularde = was okay too. Ravioli filled with porcini mushrooms and truffles = also okay. Conclusion: Unfortunately, we cannot confirm the many recommendations as a special restaurant with particularly good food. The slightly higher prices are actually normal in this residential area, and okay so far. The restaurant has a large parking lot, and if you have a window seat (like we did), that's nice too. The staff was, as already mentioned, very friendly, attentive and competent. The food was mostly disappointing.

Very long waiting times for the food. Waiters were a bit inattentive, but friendly. Food was just okay for the price. Nothing special, we expected more. We had the salmon, which was already very dry. The risotto used long grain rice and had little to do with a risotto.

Went there for lunch 2 days ago. Super delicious food. Service-oriented and friendly staff. Great and large rooms. We recommend!!!

Der neue Betreiber ist leider qualitativ meilenweit vom Vorgänger entfernt. Toll ist natürlich weiterhin an einem Sommerabend die Terrasse. Die Küche hingegen gibt sich ambitioniert, ist aber nur durchschnittlich. Richtig schlecht ist der hölzerne Service, der z. B. den Gruß des Gastes nicht erwidert, irgendwie auf einen Tisch zeigt, beim Bestellen nur auf seinen Kleincomputer guckt und Speisen und Getränke lustlos zu den Tischen trägt und sich lieber mit Kumpeln an anderen Tischen unterhält. Fazit: Wenn man wenig Ansprüche an Wolhlfühl-Gastronomie hat, kann man das machen. Man wäre aber in einem freundlichen Biergarten besser aufgehoben.

We ate there in the middle of the week and ordered a table. That worked great👍 the table was on the left side, a nice, quiet room with a nice view. After a while the waiter came, brought us the menu and we ordered drinks and the appetizer, the order came and tasted very good😃 but then we were probably forgotten😔 our drinks were empty and the waiter came and didn't come. Only when the table next door was being served did a friend call the waiter on the way out, otherwise he would have left again🤪 So, the service still needs to be worked on😎 Then you can have the main course, everything is very tasty, as is the dessert👍 (Fettuccine with king prawns, there were 4 prawns, I didn't think that was much)🥲 I placed the empty bottle of wine upside down in the wine cooler (a sign that it was empty), but the waitress didn't notice it, so we didn't order a second bottle. If the service had been perfect I would have given it 5 ⭐️

The food tasted excellent! Wild herb salad - Rhine zander fillet - crème brûlée. It would have been very nice if we had been served the wine we ordered - it was also at a good temperature and tasty - WITH the main course. There was something wrong in the - well-occupied - Old Fisherman's House. You can do it. Clever: various maps can be viewed via QR code. This saves space on the four-person tables. We'd love to come again!

They had a different price Performance. The Düsseldorf mustard roast was ordered medium and was well done. The veal liver was dry and needed seasoning. But that is a matter of taste. It took a noticeably long time for the ordered dishes to arrive even though many seats were still free. The drinks weren't really cold either. Maybe the business still needs to find its feet.

The food was finally on the table - on a fully booked Sunday lunchtime - after almost 2 hours and was really of TOP quality - we enjoyed it excellently. The location is also great with a view of the Rhine, but I found the service to be terrible (I can only report on our waiter). In 1.5 hours we were not even asked if we would like something to drink (the beer had already been empty for an hour), although our waiter was often outside or perhaps offered us a place in the shade (the sun was moving and after an hour the restaurant became increasingly empty) or - when we politely asked whether the food would take a long time, the waiter went to ask, but even then didn't think it was necessary to let us know. Too bad, I won't come back because of the service….

The location is really very beautiful, inside and out. If you get a seat on the terrace (reservation definitely makes sense) you can enjoy delicious food with a wonderful view of the Rhine. The food itself was good but somehow the finishing touch was missing. The service was friendly and reserved. Overall it was a nice evening and we will definitely come back again.

Wir saßen mittags auf der Terrasse unmittelbar am Rhein - Hochwasser. Service war freundlich, Essen sehr gut . Wir hatten Curry-Manelsuppe, Zander und schwarzes Risotto. Am Nebentisch wurden die Ravioli gegessen und sehr gelobt.

I had the pleasure of dining at the Altes Fischerhaus recently and I can say with complete confidence that it was an outstanding culinary experience. The ambience is simply enchanting. The stylish furnishings combine modern elegance with a touch of traditional charm. The soft lighting and tasteful decoration create a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Particularly noteworthy is the terrace, which offers a wonderful view of the Rhine and is perfect for a romantic dinner. The service was first class from start to finish. The staff was extremely attentive, friendly and accommodating without being intrusive. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave us excellent recommendations. The waiting times were short and the staff always tried to make sure we had a pleasant evening. The food in the old fisherman's house was simply fantastic. The menu offers a wide selection of dishes prepared with fresh and high-quality ingredients. Conclusion: Everything is just right here: the ambience, the service and, above all, the food. I can fully recommend this restaurant and am already looking forward to my next visit.

Geht nach der Wiedereröffnung unter neuer Leitung gar nicht mehr. Der Service ist unterirdisch. Wir sind aus der unmittelbaren Nachbarschaft und wollten die neue Location mal testen. Auf der Terrasse wurden wir vom Personal nicht gegrüßt aber an einen Tisch gesetzt. Kurz darauf sollten wir den (nicht eingedeckten) Tisch wieder verlassen, da man eine Reservierung habe. Außerdem sollten wir uns bitte nicht an die Veranda setzen. Wir haben unseren Besuch daraufhin abgebrochen und sind gegangen. Offensichtlich ist der Service hier schon mit dem Empfang der Gäste überfordert. Die Karte ist eher gewöhnlich und normal. Die im Internet beschriebenen französischen und mediterranen Spezialitäten sucht man vegebens. Für uns heißt es, wir geben nur einen Stern und hören mal, was die Nachbarn so erzählen. Bisher haben wir in unserem Umfeld noch kein positives Echo gehört. Bisher war das Hörensagen nur: zu teuer, zu schlecht, zu gewöhnlich

We have reserved a table for 6 people at 1 p.m. for Father's Day. When we arrived and said our names, the waiter went ahead and said we should put together the small tables ourselves. Which of course we denied. We finally made a reservation. The menus came quickly, but after that there was no waiter to be seen. This one came just before half past one and we hadn't had anything to drink until then. When we asked at 2:30 p.m. when we would get our food, the boss or managing director stood in front of us and asked in a very impudent tone whether we had a problem and we would also see that the entire terrace was full is. We tried to explain to him that we had been there since 1:00 p.m. and that it was already 2:30 p.m. and we still didn't have any food and he explained to us that we hadn't been there at 1:00 p.m. The man was very unfriendly!!! When the food finally came shortly before 3 p.m., I have to say that it was very tasty and another waiter was very attentive to us. It was my first time there, but I won't be back!!!!

Fleisch war zäh Gemüse spartanisch und ohne Geschmack Leber war zu dick geschnitten 5 cm !!! Der neue Pächter kommt nicht an den Vorgänger heran

Im neueröffneten Restaurant war das Essen mehr als schlecht sprich ungenügend! Gemüse kalt, Rumsteak schlecht geschnitten und zäh-eine einzige Katastrophe! Nie wieder!!!

Spoiled by many visits to the Old Fisherman's House and its excellent cuisine, service and ambience, very disappointed by poor service, all seats taken despite early reservations, placed at a "cat table". The food order was written down incorrectly and served, then we waited 1 1/2 hours for the food to be served again. Rump steak well done and tender despite the request for "medium"! Covering shrivels when kept warm. Starter overpriced and figuratively in a “thimble” in terms of quantity. My companion and I will steer clear of the restaurant in the future.

Very good address. Very tasty food, nice ambience, good food, nice staff. Location is very nice due to the parking spaces available and the view of the Rhine. Upon request, there were fresh fries for our child. Very, very tasty, but a few children's dishes on the menu would still be nice. Keep it up!!!

We recently had dinner in the newly opened Fischerhaus and I have to say - we are thrilled! The atmosphere was inviting and modern, the staff was extremely friendly and attentive. The menu offered a diverse selection of delicious dishes, all freshly prepared and beautifully presented. My personal highlight was the dessert, which was simply heavenly. Thank you for the lovely evening. We will be happy to come back!

We had to wait 10 minutes until we got a food/drink menu. Another 15 minutes until we could place our order. At that time there were 4 tables occupied by 2 people in the restaurant. 3 waiters. Soup came very quickly before the appetizer!!!!!! Doesn't work at all !!! After the meal, the room was cleared away quickly, but there was no question as to whether a dessert or coffee was wanted. Even empty glasses don't seem to encourage people to ask if they want anything else. At this time, around 7 p.m., the restaurant was busy. Our request to pay was then complied with very quickly. We had the feeling she was waiting for the free table. Food was good. Price performance ok. Staff was also friendly when present. The conversion was 100% successful. But there is still a lot of room for improvement.

The restaurant offers a great and delicious selection of dishes. Plus, upscale furnishings and a great view over the Rhine. It's worth spending time here. Service staff very attentive and friendly. Become a regular :D One thing I still have to get off my chest is that the boss and the boss are such kind people and you are always welcome. It is very important to always reserve in advance.

Very nicely and tastefully furnished with style after the renovation by the new owner. The food was again very tasty and freshly prepared. The selection is very good and the service was again very good. The location with a view of the Rhine is excellent for our taste. Absolutely recommended. We will happily go there again.

We liked it very much. The food was great. Everything perfect.

As regular guests of the old restaurant, we have now tried out the new concept of the Fischerhaus. Of course it is difficult to live up to the usual standards. The modernization and the new room concept should be mentioned positively. The service was nice and attentive, but a uniform appearance of the staff would be desirable. The food was very attractively prepared, but it is a shame that the culinary experience was missing here. Conclusion: We will miss the “old” fisherman's house and everything around it, but we believe that the new concept will find customers who are willing to turn a blind eye here or there.

Wonderful location, especially at sunset time. Food was excellent and very special. Great view directly of the Rhine, both from the terrace and from the beautiful interior. We would like to come again.

The restaurant, which recently reopened, was unfortunately disappointing during our visit. Despite having a reservation, our table was unassigned and not set, making for a disorganized start. The service left something to be desired as we had to wait for a long time and the attention of the staff was lacking. The risotto we ordered turned out to be a disappointment as it was made with long grain rice and was soggy. Even though we asked for a variation of a main course and the waiter casually said it wouldn't be a problem, we still received the normal version from the menu. Overall the experience was disappointing and not in line with expectations of a previously successful restaurant. It's a shame about the beautiful location! We'll leave it at this one visit.

If you have previously reserved a table and are then placed at a table that has just become available and has not yet been cleared, even though there are still clean tables available... then the operator/innkeeper has already failed to get started. Until the menu was handed out... another 10 minutes passed. All this despite the fact that 4 service staff were running back and forth… To shorten the whole thing: Kitchen: sufficient Service: poor Unfortunately, the location alone cannot make up for this.

Very nicely located, unobstructed view of the Rhine and the Rhine meadows. One of the best and most romantic locations in Düsseldorf because it is right on the Rhine, including sunset. Benrath Castle with the castle park is within walking distance. The new owners have carefully and tastefully renovated the old fisherman's house. Be sure to reserve in advance as the old fisherman's house is already very busy shortly after it reopened. Parking directly on site.

Today, for our wedding anniversary, we were guests in our former favorite restaurant in Urdenbach. The disappointment was great. Sat in a long row that hardly allowed for private conversation. The table was stuck and it was only set for one person. The food we ordered was cafeteria level. I had already eaten my sauerbraten from Bofrost. My wife's dish, pork tenderloin, was only worth one star. We had to wait almost an hour for all of this. When my food came, the cutlery was missing, which I then had to get. I also noticed that there were empty glasses at several tables. The service staff conveyed inattention. It is incomprehensible why you can now only access the restaurant via the parking lot. This makes it difficult for old and disabled people to climb the steep steps to the terrace and the rear entrance. Summary: It's a shame that the previous restaurateur gave up. By the way, the new lettering for the name “Altes Fischerhaus 1817” reminds me of dark times in Germany.

We were here a few days after the reopening. We are very impressed by the ambience, which is very well done. The interior seating is super comfortable! The acoustics are great for the ceiling height, you can have a normal conversation. The employees are super friendly. Very small point of criticism, the service could be a little more on point for our taste. Otherwise 5 out of 5 stars completely right. Oh well, we had the shrimp and the sauerbraten. Really really tasty. We'd love to come back

Unfortunately, the “new” fisherman’s house fell through. The waiter was completely overwhelmed. First he brought the wrong cola and then the wrong wine. My food came after the others had already finished eating. The waiter apologized, but... With so many mistakes, I expected more. The food was average as was the wine. The pork medallions were well done. Overall impression unfortunately only 2 out of 5 points.

We were the first guests and are completely satisfied. Mega tasty, great service.

It's a shame it's coming to an end

Wir wollten noch ein letztes Mal bevor das Alte Fischerhaus schließt dort eine Gänsebrust essen obwohl wir diese schon fast unverschämte Preiserhöhung boykottieren wollten. Letztmalig waren wir vor Corona dort und waren begeistert von dem Gänsebrust Gericht. Leider sind nicht nur die Preise viel teurer geworden sondern auch die Qualität schlechter. Des Weiteren war unser Kellner nicht besonders aufmerksam. Interieur schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen.Für uns steht leider nach diesem Besuch fest dass es kein Verlust ist.

A great restaurant with a long history, beautifully located directly on the Rhine. We were there for a family celebration with a pre-planned menu. Very exquisite cuisine, very courteous service. Definitely recommended!

Exzellent! Das Essen ist einfach exzellent. Service sehr gut und der Ausblick zum Sonnenuntergang bombastisch. Wir kommen auf den Fall wieder und können eine ganz klare Empfehlung aussprechen.

Waren nach längerer Zeit mal wieder im alten Fischerhaus. Reservierung über OpenTable hat prima geklappt. Die Tische waren ziemlich belegt, trotzdem bekamen wir recht zügig unser 3-Gang-Menü, das wir aus der Speisekarte frei zusammenstellen konnten. Es war richtig, richtig lecker, auch die Weine bemerkenswert. Lediglich die Menge - 0,2 L - war uns etwas zu viel. Ein zweiter, anderer Wein ist da für Autofahrer nicht mehr drin. Das charmant lässige Personal hat den Abend auf angenehme Weise ergänzt. Fazit: Preis/Leistung top. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir waren heute Abend mit 3 Personen zu meinem Geburtstag im Alten Fischerhaus. Ich hatte mich sehr auf den Abend gefreut. Bisher war ich hier immer sehr zufrieden- heute leider nicht. Das Essen, wie immer einfach lecker und von guter Qualität.Die Vorspeise Butterfly-Garnelen -ein Gedicht. Das Ambiente auf der Terrasse, herrlich mit Blick auf den Rhein. Der Service einfach nur schlecht. Mehr als 3 Stunden für ein drei Gänge- Menü- mehrere Erinnerungen an Getränke - das geht einfach nicht. Trotz netter Reklamation meinerseits - kein Wort des Bedauern, geschweige denn ein Getränk auf Kosten des Hauses für die lange Wartezeit. Schade, wir sind enttäuscht.

Einfach Fantastisch!!! Der Service ist sehr freundlich und flott. Das Essen ist wirklich ausgezeichnet. Im Düsseldorfer Süden die beste Adresse, wenn man wirklich was sehe gutes Essen möchte!!! Kann ich zu 100% empfehlen. Schade das es Ende des Jahres vorbei sein soll:(

Gut kombinierte und geschmacklich und optisch sehr gute Speisen. Ausblick auf den Rhein lässt fast ein wenig Urlaubsfeeling aufkommen.

Mmhh... eine meiner schwierigeren Rezensionen. Zum einen, weil wir erfahren haben, dass das alte Fischerhaus zum Jahreswechsel den Pächter wechselt und damit in den Sternen steht, was mit dem Lokal passiert, zum anderen wegen meinem Zwiespalt zwischen Essen und Service. Zuerst das Essen: UNFASSBAR GUT !!! Uns hat Alles, aber auch wirklich Alles mehr als hervorragend geschmeckt und wir haben jeden Bissen genossen. Jakobsmuscheln, Scampis, Lamm, Rinderfilet.... alles ein Traum. Service: Kellner war definitiv vom Fach, hat beivder Auswahl geholfen, ließ sich aber zu leicht ablenken und daher hat alles eeeeeecht lange gedauert. Mehrfach freundlich drauf hingewiesen, leider keine wirkliche Besserung. Aber: durch Likör, Schnaps und Espresso auf Kosten des Hauses und seinen spaßigen Charm halbwegs wieder ausgemerzt so dass wir am Ende sagen: Wir hätten das Alte Fischerhaus tatsächlich zu unserem Stammlokal erwählt, wenn es denn nicht in seiner jetzigen Form schließen würde. M.E.n. sollte man dort vor Jahresende nochmals Essen gehen. Ach ja: Der Ausblick von der Terasse ist aus unserer Sicht "phänomenal!"

Ein phantastisches Lokal, bester Service und das Essen auf den Punkt richtig gegart in hervorragender Qualität. Auch die Aussicht ist ein Traum. Leider ist meine jahrelange Ära bald zu Ende, es soll ein Wechsel im Restaurant stattfinden. Ich muß also noch ganz schnell und oft dorthin!!

Wir waren dort mit 4 Personen und wir waren alle 4 begeistert. Das Essen in Menü Form kann man sich selbst zusammen stellen. Und jeder einzelne Gang war ein Gedicht. Es war so unglaublich lecker. Großes Kompliment an die Küche. Die Preise sind total human für das was man da an Geschmack und Qualität bekommt Der Service war nett aber irgendwie strainge. Der eine Kellner hielt sich für wahnsinnig witzig. Ich fand ihn eher nervig und peinlich. Aber das ist nur mein persönliches Empfinden. Beim Ambiente hat man stark das Gefühl, dass die weibliche Hand fehlt. Es ist ziemlich eingestaubt alles und mit Staub- und Spinnweben übersät, die Bestuhlung war Recht unbequem und die Deko war altbacken. Trotzdem war es alles in allem ein Hochgenuss und wir werden definitiv wieder kommen.

Wunderschönes Restaurand, sehr leckeres Essen, freundliches persönal. Am 23.6.23 war dort mein Hochzeit und ich fand es Traumhaft, dankevielmals. Hermoso lugar, personal muy profesional, comida deliciosa. Fotos Stefani Anderson

Wir haben tektonisch niemanden erreicht,, es geht niemanden ans Telefon. Wollte meine Freundin zum Essen einladen. Als wir dort waren, erfuhren wir vom unfreundlichen Kellner, der null Kundenfreundlichkeit, null Verständnis null Entgegenkommend hat, das nur mit Reservierung da essen können. Es waren noch so viele Tische frei
