We made a reservation for 4 to celebrate our wedding day. Even though the reservation was made well in advance, we were crammed into a corner. The restaurant was informed about the special occasion but nothing special was prepared. I am not saying that a restaurant is obligated to do something, but I can guarantee you that other establishments who truly are of the same level that Saittavini claims to be, would have prepared something to make the dinner even more special. The quality of ingredients was good, but not extraordinary. The preparation of the dishes was good but again not close enough to the level of other restaurants with similar prices. Nothing special, far away from a Michelin Star level that I am sure this restaurant aspires to be at. For 100€+ per person for a full course meal (drinks included), one would expect a bit more. The waiters were extraordinary, attentive but discrete, overall almost excellent.

Were served by a young waiter - top service! The food was great and the atmosphere was very nice. Price-performance is simply right here. Certainly not the last time we were guests here.

We just came here for a nightcap. You feel like you're on vacation in Italy! We were able to sit outside in great weather and have an espresso martini. The price level is a bit high, that's why I only give it 4 stars.

Terrible experience. It took 45 minutes before anyone took an order. Afterwards we waited two hours without anything happening. A table of eight simply ignored while other guests received their orders. I want to point out that the entire table ordered simple pasta dishes, nothing elaborate. Chaotic, unprofessional and disorganized service. An hour and a half of waiting later the request arrives: do you want to order another round of drinks? A mockery. After two hours the dishes arrive. Tagliatelle with chanterelles bought and raw (I wonder how it is possible to serve raw pasta with two hours of preparation available), sillage, liquid sauce and I honestly believe that the chanterelles were frozen. Small portions, literally 4 ravioli per plate. For a plate of pasta and a glass of wine €50 (!!!) per person. Ridiculous.

Pour nous c’est le meilleur rapport qualité-prix dans le quartier. La nourriture est bonne pour une carte assez classique mais un peu recherchée et le service est au niveau (et en quantité suffisante, ce qui ne va pas toujours de soi à Düsseldorf). Nous y allons aussi bien en famille (nos enfants sont grands) que avec des amis ou pour un dîner d’affaires.

Es dauert, bis man plaziert wird, bis dahin: hektisches Rumgemache von uninteressierten Kellnern. Die Karte: hochpreisig, aber langweilig. Immer der gleichen Antipasti, immer der gleiche Fisch. Bestellung: das dauert, der Gast steht nicht im Vordergrund, sondern das Personal. Lärmiges Herumgehampel, unprofessionelle Wichtigtuerei. Das Essen: enttäuschend, die Pasta viel zu weich, die Soße nahezu ohne Aromen, den Fisch totgekocht. Und die ganze Zeit: Kellner die herumrufen, sich wichtig machen, herumgeistern, aber ihren job nicht machen. Wir machen viel in Italien Urlaub, wir essen gerne in den dortigen Restaurants, aber dies Restaurant hat nun nichts mit originaler italienischer Küche mit authentischem Ambiente zu tun. Und teuer…….!

I have to admit that I have been living in Düsseldorf for 5 years and have only been here now. The visit significantly exceeded my experience. Even though we didn't have a reservation, we got a spot. The food could hardly be more Italian. The ambience and service also left nothing to be desired. As a guest you felt welcome and warmly served. Not quietly, but that's kind of part of it. Even the open wines are excellent and very fair in price compared to other restaurants in Oberkassel. The food was really tasty and with outstanding ingredients. We immediately booked another table and will definitely come back often. Thanks to the team for a lovely evening!

Food, service and ambience basically good. However, more was charged on the invoice than was ordered. A complaint was dismissed.

The food tasted great. The wines by the glass were of high quality. The 21 year old Grappa rounded off the great experience. The staff was very attentive and answered all questions professionally and charmingly. We will definitely come back.

We visited for the England game and wow so glad we found this gem on the Michelin guide. The beef tartare accompanied with mini mushrooms was delightful starter an array of flavours. Then for main a lasagne that was the best I’ve ever had took my taste buds on a journey I had to order another. All washed down with the Castel red! Jheeez absolutely bloody lovely!!!!! Whilst sat outside enjoying the world pass us bye. I recommend this restaurant to any foody!!!

We had a wonderful afternoon and enjoyed it so much that we went back straight away in the evening. For me personally the best tuna tartare in all of Düsseldorf!

Let me start with the positive part. The food is very delicious, fresh and prepared very well. This Italian restaurant's ambiance is charming but very overcrowded, with too many tables crammed in. Service is suboptimal as a result, with inattentive and slow staff detracting from the dining experience. You can easily compare it to a chaos, and I don’t blame the staff but the management for this - with so many tables and clients, it is impossible to pay high quality attention to your customers. This would have been totally fine if one was not paying 210€ (without tip) for a 2-step dinner for two. Food and particularly all drinks are heavily overpriced, making it hard to justify the cost. Not the best value for money, plenty of other excellent options in Düsseldorf.

Certainly a bit of a trendy place, but solid food and an elaborate wine selection. However, the whole thing is largely supported by the owner; without him at least one star would be lost. Lively Italian that is recommended if you don't necessarily have to turn the cent twice :-)!

Yesterday I spontaneously got a place. The service was very friendly and my food was adapted to my allergy. The tartare with the chanterelles was very tasty and the liver was to die for. The wines also went very well. Just know that it's not for quiet conversations.

The worst burata salad ever. The tomatoes were not just green, they were plastic and inedible. The taste of burata was also so-so. Dinner was saved by dessert - tiramisu saved the evening, it was really delicious.

Waiter inattentive and rude and arrogant in direct conversation. I wanted to reserve a table, but despite capacity, I couldn't be guaranteed a specific table. Zero service thought. Then we'll just go somewhere else :)

Very good food, friendly and professional service. The only downside is that the tables are too close to each other. It's unpleasant to be so close to the people at the next table.

What can I say?! Düsseldorf through and through. See and be seen. The food is always good, but the service is even better when people know you.

My long lost friend tried to impress me with her favourite Italian restaurant which apparently, so she tells me, had a Michelin star. We entered a shop-like atmosphere where Italian food was served at the counter and were led to a high counter-like shared table with high bar stools. My friend had reserved for lunch. I asked for some tap water which cause horror on the waitress’ face, telling me that it was against the restaurant’s policy to serve Leitungswasser. the only bottled water on offer was St Pellegrino. My friend did not allow me to drink bottled water which had come across the Alps. Since I do not drink coca cola (was that actually locally produced?) or any other soft drinks, I was left with a dilemma and wondered whether I should just take some water from the too adjacent toilet? I had one glass of house white with ice cubes. The location was very noisy since we were close to some loud grinding noisy machine next to the kitchen. The antipasti was superb which I ordered from the front counter, the spaghetti vongole ok. The waitress had clearly never heard of the slogan “the guest is always king (or queen in our case)”. Only at the end did we find out that there would have been a lovely adjacent sit-down restaurant. I won’t rush back.

What is it with high class German restaurants and not wanting to serve tap water (Leitungswasser)? This would never happen in the UK nor in the USA where, of course, the waiter automatically brings a carafe of water with ice cubes. Not at this rather pricey restaurant. I was treated to lunch by a long lost schoolfriend who wanted to impress me. I was not given tap water and my friend did not allow me bottled water which had crossed the alps (Pelegrino). I was offered coca cola, tonic water and other soft drinks. None of which I drink. Though my friend had reserved a table, we sat on a high chair, opposite the toilet and near the kitchen with constant loud grinding noises. The anti-pasti were delicious, and one cannot do much wrong with spaghetti and prawns. The waitress clearly had never heard the motto that the guest is always king (or queen in our case). We won’t go back.

A very busy, lively wine bar. Despite a reservation, we had to wait almost 10 minutes with other guests in the entrance area until the table intended for us in the back of the shop was ready. Apparently every free space is used to accommodate tables and chairs, so the passage to our table was correspondingly narrow. Our orders were taken routinely and quickly, the staff is trained given the very extensive drinks and wine list, and the recommended wines were correspondingly good. The food was freshly prepared, attractively presented and of very good quality. The portions are measured so that you can easily “manage” both starter and dessert. Although the bar was apparently full to capacity, the noise level was moderate and the birthday song in the front part of the bar could also be heard in the back area. 😊 After paying, the staff got hectic again because the coat I had handed in couldn't be found straight away. All in all, it's actually a nice place to enjoy a glass or two of wine and dine in a pleasant atmosphere; Next time we'll go there at an unorthodox time when it's less crowded.

A late lunch at 2 p.m. in the middle of the week, logically in a quiet and relaxed restaurant atmosphere; really friendly and attentive guys at work, good wine and delicious food with unique tiramisu.

I've been there several times, so far my best experience was going during the week in the middle of the day when there were few people. There I had excellent service and a good table. If you go on a Friday or weekend, you will probably have a bad experience, the food arrives late, it will be crowded and you may get a bad table. The food is good, but there are better Italian restaurants in Düsseldorf. You pay for the atmosphere, so you better choose well the day/time you go.

We have been coming here for many years and have always loved it. Along with the food, the atmosphere is one of the highlights. The wine list is top and the best in all of Ddorf.

Furchtbar! Nie wieder! Vom Chef angeschrien und beleidigt worden! Ich sei frech, ohne Manieren und ohne Benehmen, weil ich ihn drauf aufmerksam gemacht habe dass unser Tisch eine Frechheit war! Trotz Reservierung wurden wir in einer Abstellkammer platziert, mitten in den zu Verkauf stehenden Produkten! Nicht mal 10cm hinter und stehen Leute die auf unseren Tisch warten, und das sogar offen sagen damit wir schneller zahlen! Nach 30min Aufenthalt. Für die Preise (und sowieso) eine absolute Frechheit! Am Ende rausgeworfen worden! 0 Einsicht!

I haven't enjoyed food much here in Dusseldorf, hard to find non over salty original flavors. Saittavini was true to its Italian line , I loved the antipasti sharing plate , very generous . The highlight of the dinner was the pumpkin ice cream . The team was doing its best taking care of us ,will definitely go back again

Wer elegant und bei toller Atmosphäre ein schönen italienischen Abend vorbringen möchte kann ohne zu zögern zum Saittavini gehen. Das Essen ist hervorragend und der Service ist super aufmerksam und freundlich. Es ist das Geld wert. Danke schön es war ein toller Abend.

Ich war gestern Abend dort. Er war sehr eng und ich saß direkt an einem Gang. Ständig wurde gegen meinen Tisch gestoßen/getreten. Meinen Mantel musste ich über den Stuhl legen. Mehrfach wurde dort drauf getreten, wie ein Wischmop. Erst als ich fragte, wo denn die Garderobe sei, wurde mir angeboten meinen Mantel aufzuhängen. Empfand ich als unfreundlichen Empfang. Als Essen bestellte ich u.a. Fassona Bistecca für 42 EUR explizit und auf Bitte "rare". Es kam nach langer Warterei "well" bis "well-done". Eine Entschuldigung bekam ich dafür nicht. Man bot mir an, es zurückgehen zu lassen. Nochmals warten wollte ich nicht. Dass es verkocht war, war nicht mal zu schlimm, sondern die Art, wie man mich dann behandelte, als ich das ansprach. Das war nicht nett oder gar entschuldigend, sondern eher genervt von mir. Man bot mir dafür als Entschädigung ein kleines Glas Wein an. Für ein verkochtes Essen von 42 EUR !?! Leider passen Anspruch und Preise nicht zur Behandlung. Das ist meine Meinung. Das Ambiente ist natürlich sonst sehr schön.

Ich habe als Fotografin hier ein privates Event fotografiert und war begeistert vom guten und aufmerksamen Service. Alle Gäste waren schnell versorgt, inklusive mit als Dienstleisterin. Ich hatte Pasta mit Trüffeln und das Gericht war sehr schmackhaft. In den Genuss der größten Weinauswahl, die ich gesehen habe, bin ich leider als Autofahrerin nicht gekommen, aber ich bin mir sicher, dass da für jeglichen Geschmack etwas dabei ist. I made a reservation 3 weeks in advance yet had to wait 30 min to be seated. Then they forgot to register our main dish orders. After the appetizers we waited for an other 40 minutes. The service is terrible and worst of all they don’t even care. The meat was so hard the knife wouldn’t cut through. I sent it back after the 2nd bite but they charged me anyway. The whole experience was a nightmare. And a very expensive one.

Horrible service, we waited 30 minutes for a table while we had a reservation. Appetizers were good however main dishes were barely edible. Could not cut the steak with a steak knife. Best part was that they made us wait an hour between the appetizers and main dishes. Had to remind 3 times to bring our food.

Great service but the pasta dishes we ordered was far below expectations. The bolognese was watery and the vongole tasted alcohol like the chef added a glass of white wine as a last touch to dish. The ratio price vs. quality of the dishes was 10 to 1. Spend your money somewhere else.

Bin nahezu sprachlos… Unfreundliche, unkonzentrierte und überhebliche Bedienung. Das wohl schlechteste Preis-Leistungsverhältnis in ganz Düsseldorf! Lebt wohl nur noch vom Ruf ehemaliger Glanzzeiten. Die sind definitiv vorbei.

Wir waren dort zu einem schönen Abendessen und waren sehr begeistert. Sehr schönes Ambiente, sehr leckere Pasta und guter Service! Einzig das Dessert war doch recht klein, hier wäre etwas mehr von der Portion her angemessen gewesen. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Der Service und das Ambiente im Lokal sind exzellent. Die Speisen sind eher simpel und nicht modern angerichtet, aber dennoch lecker. Leider ist auch die Portionsgröße für den Preis und die Qualität etwas klein. Die Weinauswahl ist hervorragend und der empfohlene Wein war sehr gut. Besonders möchte ich noch den Italienisch/Schweizerischen Kellner hervorheben, der uns sehr gut bedient hat.

Had dinner here last evening with a friend. As an absolute lover of the Italian cuisine I was looking forward to have dinner here. This restaurant is in one word amazing, not only in the excellent food but also in service and atmosphere. I was curious about the service as many reviews mentioned a rather arrogant behaviour from the waiters. Our experience is the complete opposite, not often have we been treated with the utmost respect and dedication. Every servant who served us was throughout the evening was suuper friendly and attentive. The food is from top notch quality; what a taste and diversity. Its a pityy we don't life nearby, otherwise this would be our favorite. If you are looking for a real Italian ambiance, great food and super staff, Saittavani is your place and ok, prices are steep but for this your experience the real Italian treat.

Wir haben mit 12 Leuten leider in der hintersten Ecke gesessen - alles musste durchgereicht werden. Es war eng und warm. Familien mit Kinderwagen haben da verloren, ebenso Rollstuhlfahrer! Ständig lies das Personal Gläser fallen oder schmiss zwischendurch das Besteck in die Körbe - wir saßen nicht weit weg, es war super laut - das gehört sich absolut nicht! Der Service war mittelmäßig, der Kellner war nicht aufmerksam (zwischendurch mal fragen, ob alles ok ist) und hat nicht nach weiteren Getränken gefragt - man musste regelrecht schreien und wild gestikulieren, um mal etwas zu trinken bestellen zu können. Auf einen Latte Macchiato haben wir 20 Minuten gewartet! Er hat sich auch nicht merken können, wer Wein trinkt und wer nicht. Trotz mehrfachen drauf zeigen hat er den Wein falsch eingeschüttet… Tat dann so, als sei das unsere Schuld. Die Wasserflasche hat er nach dem einschenken am Anfang offen stehen lassen… die letzte Stunde haben wir gar keine neuen Getränke mehr erhalten. Fassungslos war ich bei der Cola! Das Glas war bis oben mit Eiswürfel voll - das hab ich noch nie erlebt! Da war kaum Cola drin! Das Essen ist ebenfalls maßlos überteuert! 50€ für ein Rinderfilet, das gerade einmal 30€ wert ist. Dazu kalte Beilagen. Die Trüffelnudeln für 32€ haben weder nach Trüffel gerochen, noch danach geschmeckt! Der Lachs zur Vorspeise für 24€ eine Frechheit. Ein Stückchen rohen Lachs dazu Tomaten und Zwiebeln. Wie erwähnt waren wir eine große Gruppe, da erwartet man in einem GEHOBENEN Restaurant, dass erst abgeräumt wird, wenn alle fertig sind. Nein, während wir zum Teil noch gegessen haben, räumte er die leeren Teller weg. Gegen 9 Uhr wurde die Musik dann auch noch laut aufgedreht… Wir haben ordentlich Geld da gelassen mit 12 Leuten (inkl Tip) - als wir gingen schaute er so, als hätten wir ihn um sein Trinkgeld gebracht! Ich brauche nicht viel Chichi - aber wenn man in Oberkassel sitzt und solche Preise aufruft, muss man seine Gäste auch entsprechend behandeln und etwas bieten. Hier Fehlanzeige!

Ich kann nur eins sagen..solche unhöflichen und unmenschlichen Kellner und Mitarbeiter selten erlebt..ich bin über 400km nach Düsseldorf angereist und war froh ein Restaurant gefunden zu haben…ich wollte die Toilette benutzen wollte sogar dafür zahlen weil ich langen vergebens gesucht hatte und es gar nicht mehr ging..ich also rein und den Kellner nett gefragt..seine antwort direkt nein..ich sagte ich zahle trotzdem blieb es dabei..sowas noch nie erlebt und deswegen würde ich auch dort nicht essen gehen👎🏼

Bester Italiener in Düsseldorf. Immer wundervoll!

Alles sehr lieblos, mit einer Atmo der Abfertigung. Die Tagliatelle mit Pfifferlingen (24,90 Euro) waren die schlechtesten Nudeln, die ich persönlich in einem Restaurant jemals gegessen habe. Eine kleine Handvoll trockener Nudeln mit einem Materialwert von 1.50 Euro. Eine absolute Frechheit. Darauf angesprochen, gab es zwar eine lahme Entschuldigung, mehr nicht. Wir wurden nicht einmal gefragt, ob wir noch etwas trinken wollen, bis sie uns die Desertkarte vorlegten. Dann waren wir plötzlich wieder interessant. Wir waren ein paar mal dort im letzten Jahr und es war OK, nicht hervorragend, aber OK. Für die Preise, die sie aufrufen, würde man ein bisschen Liebe zum Produkt erwarten, aber es ist offensichtlich nur Liebe für Geld vorhanden. Vom Weg abgekommen. Nie wieder. Lass stecken. Gibt genug Italiener in Düsseldorf. Unser Geld bekommt Ihr nicht mehr.

Schwierig. Winzige Portionen, dafür sehr sehr hohe Preise. Qualität mittelmäßig. Gibt deutlich besser Italiener. Die ganzen Wannabes halten sich da gerne auf. Hat nicht wirklich was mit italienischem Genuss zu tun.

I ordered a bottle of wine through it's online shop and chose self-pickup. Today I called the restaurant to know whether I can come and pick up my wine or not. He told me yes, so I went here from Cologne. Then they, including the man who picked up my phone, told me thay had no information about the online shop and asked me to come again next week. These guys wasted my time and ruined my weekend. It's TOTALLY RIDICULOUS. They are ashamed of their excellent cellar!

I was there for dinner with 5 other friends The restaurant is nicely decorated but the service was pretty bad. The waiter was very kind and friendly but I am rating 1 star because we waited 20 mins for our order to be taken, then it took them more than an hour for our food to be in our table. We ordered beef and it was completely overcooked, one dish did not have the correct side dish as described in the menu and the portions are extremely small. In general I believe the restaurant is overpriced for the food quality and size of the portions. Not recommended to go.

Fantastic night with excellent food and great staff. Watch the grappa though. Its very nice but it sneaks up on you..... I really enjoyed this place a lot and cannot recommend it highly enough

Seit Jahren (oder Jahrzehnten?) die gleichen Gerichte auf der Karte z.B. Rinderfilet in Pistazienkruste. Speisenauswahl aber dennoch sehr gut. Empfehlenswert: Risotto. Gute Variationen und schmeckt hier besser als bei den meisten anderen Italienern. Sehr netter Chef

Sehr leckeres Essen und angenehme Atmosphäre. Kann man auf jeden Fall empfehlen wenn man mal schick essen will. Der Kellner war zeitweise ziemlich überfordert. Sonst alles top

Preis -Leistungs- Verhältnis stimmt für mich nicht. Sehr überschaubare Portionen. Man sitzt zusammengedrängt mit fremden Menschen an Tischen, ich empfand die Atmosphäre als hektisch und laut. Entspanntes Essen ist für mich anders.

Genuss in vollen Zügen! Immer wenn Kunden mich nach etwas gutem in Düsseldorf fragen, wird dieser als erstes empfohlen! Weiter so!

Einmal und nie wieder!!! Die Kellner sind sehr unhöflich und gucken einen an als würde man sie ein Alien sein, sie Gaffen alle Frauen an und die Atmosphäre ist sehr unangenehmen!!!!! Ist es Normal das Albaner sich Italiener nennen? Kann jeder einfach ein Italienisches Restaurant eröffnen? An Inkompetenz nicht zu übertreffen dieser Laden ist ein absolutes No go!!!!!!!

Man wird als nicht Stammkunde auch schon mal mit herablassender Missachtung gestraft… so leider ein klares NoGo…

Finally i visited and spend lots of time visit the downstairs wine cellular cgecked all worl premium wines restaurant atmosphere is 5* nothing luxury or trendy you can feel the 30+ year history and can see one of the best wine selection . foods are amazing Alessandro is the guy who is leading rest is warmly , 2nd Alessandro who served us is very kind and helpful guy the boss is so kind also we talked much previous comments are below; Sad to leave before experiencing this place I visit during walking at Oberkassel And enter to see wines Very nice atmosphere and friendly welcoming even i didn't sit or order anything. For my next time visit to Düsseldorf this Italian restaurant will be No1 place which i will try.

Restaurant Italien avec un large choix de vin. Le risotto à la saucisse italienne était bon mais j’aurai dû prendre les pâtes à la truffe qui semblait extraordinaire

Saittavini is one of those Michelin guide recommendations that makes one wonder on the objectivity the guide offers to consumers. I booked a table for three persons by email and although i got the confirmation i arrived on time at the restaurant to find out that practically there was no reservation made . This was the starting point of the downfall. The menu seemed genuine but very pricy however i was waiting for the starters to get an idea . And yes it was worse than i could have ever imagined . The beetroot salad was literally a tablespoon of grated beetroot with no flavor at 21.00€. The main was world’s smallest portion of spaghetti and what a joke this was. 100gr of boiled pasta with two flakes of low quality black truffle at 31.00€!! Moreover our waiter should be awarded with the world’s worst service accolade, rushing himself between us to get the dishes with vigor almost pushing us every time he was coming over . Their manager who also served our wine ( he didn't even mentioned the vintage correctly) probably pulled the cork for the first time in his life and spoiled a whole glass on the table. Overall Saittavini aims to make a fortune by taking their customers for a ride and selling a hollow , indifferent ,uninspired food at the highest possible price . It is such a shame that a great wine list is adapted by this gastronomic insult.

Klassiker in Düsseldorf! Waren nur spät abends noch auf ein paar Glas Wein da, aber wurden herzlich empfangen…
