Brauhof in Düsseldorf

Absolutely unacceptable. We ordered mussels from the Rhine region yesterday evening (5 pm). They smelled different than usual, had white foam in the broth, and were noticeably open and porous. They were also extremely salty. However, we didn't think much of it at the time, as the restaurant has been around for years and couldn't possibly afford to serve spoiled mussels (or so we thought!). Unfortunately, we had a very different experience that evening! We felt sick, vomited several times, etc. I'll spare you the rest. This is absolutely unacceptable. The mussels were clearly salted for a reason. I called that evening to warn others to check the mussels before other guests had to endure the same ordeal. They claimed on the phone that the mussels were fresh and had arrived at 4 pm... Earlier that morning, they had said they were almost out of mussels and that we would be lucky to get some that evening. We are very disappointed. Disappointed that spoiled mussels were sold and disappointed that we were fed some stories instead of admitting it and apologizing.

A traditional Düsseldorf pub. Good value for money. Recommended.

Every Thursday, it's all-you-can-eat, where you get this beautifully presented platter and can then order as many ribs as you like (which wasn't necessary because there was enough food 😁). The ribs were delicious, the BBQ sauce was delicious, and the homemade fries and coleslaw were also top-notch. The atmosphere was also lovely, and the service was excellent. My sister had the salad with fried potatoes and roast beef, which she also thought was delicious.

We spontaneously decided to eat there on a Sunday evening. The restaurant was empty apart from one other table. Nevertheless, we waited over half an hour for our food...it wouldn't have been a problem if the knuckles had at least been served hot and properly cooked. Unfortunately, they were barely lukewarm, and both the side dishes and the plate itself were cold. As for the quality of the food, the mashed potatoes tasted like powder from a packet and had probably never seen salt or nutmeg. The sauerkraut, on the other hand, was way overseasoned, and the knuckle itself was neither cured nor tender. The service was okay, but it was a bit strange that the apparent chef spent most of the evening sitting at the counter or going to the kiosk next door to get ice for the staff. All in all, not a pleasant experience...the only positive was that the draft beer was good, but for a total of €57 for two people, the evening wasn't worth it.

Highly recommended! Cozy, inviting, and with great attention to detail. We'd love to come back. Kudos to the chef.

The two of us were here at 8 p.m. and had a very good meal in a pleasant atmosphere. I had a chicken skewer, and my husband had the Düsseldorf menu with a bottle of good Pinot Gris. Everything went quickly, and we felt very comfortable. Along with the espresso we ordered, which we didn't have to pay for, we also had a special surprise: apple strudel with raspberries and strawberries, and a sponge cake with ice cream. It was very nice, and we were really impressed 🤩 We wish there were more great restaurants like this. Unfortunately, we didn't try the beer. Keep up the good work, and we recommend it and will definitely be back 🙏

The Brauhof Düsseldorf has become one of our favorite places. Since the new owner took over, you can immediately tell that a lot of dedication and passion goes into it. The kitchen offers hearty brewery classics and seasonal dishes, freshly and tastefully prepared. The team is attentive, friendly, and makes you feel at home. The freshly tapped beer, in particular, perfectly rounds off any visit. A place where you'll want to linger longer – a definite recommendation!

The Brauhof Düsseldorf is a true gem – a cozy atmosphere, great service, and outstanding food! Since the new owner took over, the positive changes have been clearly noticeable: Everything seems more lively, more structured, and run with a lot of passion. Traditional brewery cuisine is given a modern twist, with fresh ingredients and great attention to detail. The schnitzel with fried potatoes and the freshly tapped beer are particularly recommended. We'll definitely be back – highly recommended!

We spontaneously dropped in with five people and received a warm welcome. The weather allowed us to eat outside, which was wonderful in the neighborhood atmosphere. Drinks were brought promptly, and the various dishes, including special requests, arrived at the table at the same time. The taste, appearance, and portion size were all excellent! Very tasty food, the beer is always good

We were very satisfied with our visit to the Brauhof restaurant. I had the paprika schnitzel with fries and a salad. The paprika sauce was delicious, definitely homemade. I also really like that it comes separately. The schnitzel (two pieces) was tender and well-cooked, and the fries were also very tasty. The side salad was also really tasty. The value for money here is really good. The service was also very friendly; we would definitely come back! Thank you very much! 😊

The food is truly delicious, and the terrace is a beautiful spot on warm days 😍 high praise for that. Unfortunately, the service is disappointing. The slim, dark-skinned bartender seems completely listless, as if he's only working out of necessity. If I were his boss, I would have replaced him long ago. The music repeats constantly 🤯 the same thing always plays, which quickly becomes annoying. It's also very unpleasant that the blonde waitress is constantly arguing with the bartender 🫩 it ruins the entire atmosphere. A complete replacement of the staff would be a complete disaster.

A really cozy restaurant with a rustic atmosphere. We had planned a family celebration in the city center, but the Düsseldorf Marathon came along and we couldn't get into town. So we spontaneously asked the Brauhof on Friday if we could come with 11 people on Sunday. The phone call was really nice - we were told to come and they even opened a little earlier. We received a warm welcome in gorgeous weather, the food selection had something for everyone (everything was delicious!) and we were treated to a delicious nightcap at the end. The ambiance is rustic but not kitschy, the clientele on Sunday lunchtime are mostly regulars, and the service is very friendly to everyone and everything. You can also sit outside; we will definitely go back this summer. There is a children's playground opposite. It's great that there is still a restaurant like this among all the fancy wine stalls in Düsseldorf. We would love to come back and thank you for the spontaneous reservation.

With new owner and one of the best but still not recognized Chef Roberto, food is brought to a new level. Very tasty and contemporary served food will leave you with no possibility than to come again 👌 Plenty of parking in front and back streets, two terraces for siting outside, one looking at the street and another to the small park. I love it...

I ordered "grilled calamari with spinach and potatoes," but what came out was "grilled calamari on salad." Since I initially thought I'd made a mistake and was also hungry, I didn't say anything when the food was served. When paying, I pointed out to the waitress that I'd actually ordered something else. She said she was new and didn't know the menu yet, but would like to ask a chef. After a few minutes, she came back and gave us some money back as compensation. It's also funny that the menu didn't even offer "calamari on salad," or maybe the chef thought salad would be better than potatoes and spinach in the warm weather. At least it was delicious. Since the restaurant owner seems to have recently taken over the location, I'll forgive him for this faux pas. If I'm ever at Münsterplatz again, I'll definitely come back...

I was there yesterday for the first time under the new owners – and what can I say: simply amazing! From the friendly service to the atmospheric ambiance to the fantastic food, everything was truly impeccable. You can feel the passion that goes into their work. I'll definitely be back!

As an annual restaurant owner in Italy, I was pleasantly surprised by the cuisine at Restaurant Brauhof. They served perfect pasta and a hearty steak as the main course. I haven't tried anything like it in a long time; I even consulted with the chef to give my cooks advice on how to prepare it.

Pleasant atmosphere, helpful staff, good food

Dear Brauhof operators, after several years, we visited your establishment on May 28th and have a tip: You shouldn't force your staff to work. When the corners of their mouths reach down to their knuckles, you hardly dare order another round. Add to that the music that's not suited to the customers. Sorry, this won't work, as nice as the establishment is.

Nice, quaint restaurant in my neighborhood with friendly service! However, I would come even more often if card payments were possible. For three quarters, if not a full year, there has been a sign outside the door stating that card payments are currently not possible. This makes me doubt whether they are really willing to fix the problem.

Very rustic restaurant, pleasant guests, very friendly service and really good home cooking. Here the schnitzel is freshly pounded and doesn't simply go from the deep freezer into the deep fryer as a sad slab of pressed meat. It's nice that it still exists. We would love to come back. 😊

I had the pleasure of visiting the Brauhof restaurant and was completely impressed. The atmosphere is simply magical - rustic and cozy, with furnishings that exude the charm of bygone times. It is the perfect place to escape from everyday life and enjoy a relaxed environment. Special praise goes to the extremely friendly waiter who greeted us with a smile and was very attentive and helpful throughout the entire visit. His commitment and warm manner made our evening even more enjoyable. The food at the Brauhof is really excellent. The dishes were not only of the highest quality in terms of taste, but were also very attractively presented. Particularly noteworthy is the unbeatable price-performance ratio. Here you get top quality at a fair price - that's not a given these days. All in all, I can warmly recommend the Brauhof restaurant. If you are looking for a place with a nice rustic atmosphere, excellent service and delicious food at fair prices, you will definitely find it here.

Great food and atmosphere ! We was in the area for the euros and felt very welcomed in this bar. It’s very traditional and they seem to have a lot of locals in here. We ate here on our last day in Dusseldorf and the food was 10/10

Very nice restaurant. The waiter was in a great mood and always diligently refilled the beer. The food was super tasty (asparagus cream soup, knuckle, schnitzel, roast beef, lumberjack steak). I can highly recommend!

I was there for the semi-final game, Fortuna Düsseldorf against Leverkusen. I ate a Jägerschnitzel with fried potatoes. Large portion, very tasty. The waiter is very fast. He had the whole store under control even though he had to serve all the guests alone. Pleasant audience.

Very rustic brewery with many regular guests. The waiter was very friendly and super quick, you were rarely left out to dry. The food was OK and the toilets were clean

It is incomprehensible that there are still restaurants that practice racism with their menu.

They only accept cash, which is crazy now days. Anyway I was told there is a sign out side that says cash only. It was in German, when I said I don't speak German the owner said you are in Germany you should. I told him I am on business so unfortunately I can't know all the languages of the countries I do business in. I had to walk in the rain for 10 minutes to an atm to get the cash. Never again. Especially for such a drab boring establishment.

I have rarely eaten such sad vegetables. The sauce for the goulash, which was okay, couldn't save it either. It's hard to understand how something like that can leave the kitchen with a clear conscience. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was quite nice for a brewery and decorated for Christmas.

Gute Adresse zum Muschelessen. Die waren wirklich top. Der Sud war versalzen, das war schade kann aber passieren. Das Schwarzbrot war leider schon etwas angetrocknet. Der Kellner supernett, deshalb immer noch 4 Sterne.

Food tastes like in any run-of-the-mill place. Service is also so-so. Even if you say you don't want any more beer, you'll get one, even though you've put the beer mat on the glass. Definitely not recommended

Urige Kneipe mit Brauhausküche. Sehr freundlicher Service, der sich toll um unsere etwas größere Gruppe gekümmert hat!

Ich hatte Gänsekeule mit Rosenkohl und Klöße. Soße wurde separat gereicht. Ohne Aufforderung bzw Bestellung bekamen wir vorab eine klare Brühe, die nicht nur gut schmeckte sondern auch die Kälte vertrieb (es war lausig kalt & regnerisch). Das Essen schmeckt lecker wie bei Muttern und macht satt. Ambiente altbacken, aber sauber. Komme wieder!

Really nice atmosphere and a lot of older folks from the neighborhood. It’s a five star because of their category which I would describe as Pub.

Ich hatte das Zigeneuschnitzel und als Nachtisch den Apfelstrudel. Leider war der Strudel nicht kross gebacken sondern pampig. Das Schnitzel superlecker. Der Kellner war aufmerksam und sehr freundlich! Auf meine Kritik hin bekamen wir 2 Espresso gratis und einen Preisnachlass! Leider schallt es in der Stube sehr laut, ein paar Schallschlucker würden hier schon helfen 😉

Nach meiner / unserer Erfahrung und Einschätzung handelt es sich beim Brauhof um eines der " angenehmsten und besten " Brauhäusern in Düsseldorf !!- Vom Ambiente über Service und Freundlichkeit des Personals gibt es absolut nichts zu kritisieren. - Der Besuch im Brauhof ist schlicht und einfach " Kneipenwohlgefühl !! "

Ich musste gerade feststellen, dass die Küche (sonntags) schon um 20:00 Uhr schließt. Kann man machen. Entscheidung des Wirts. Nicht mehr hingehen Entscheidung der potentiellen Gäste (und Umsatzbringer).

Großartig! Ich war beruflich in Düsseldorf und bin durch Zufall im Brauhof gelandet. Das Essen war spitzenklasse und der Service hervorragend. Vor Allem bekommt man Fleisch auch "rare", wie bestellt. Die Preise für Essen und auch Getränke sind sehr gut. Von mir eine klare Empfehlung und ich komme gerne wieder, wenn ich in der Nähe bin.

Die Kellner sind sehr unhöflich und unfreundlich und unprofessionell. Außerdem ist Jenin ein sehr schlechtes Restaurant neben der Straße. Die Qualität des Essens war wirklich ekelhaft.

klassenlosesten Kellner, sehr respektloser Umgang vor allem gegenüber Ausländern, ich hatte einige ausländische Gäste zur Ausstellung und die Angestellten dieses Restaurants waren eine Schande wegen ihres unprofessionellen Verhaltens, besonders gegenüber Schwarzhaarigen. Es war eines meiner schlimmsten Restauranterlebnisse, das Essen roch sehr schlecht, es war klar, dass Reste und minderwertige Zutaten verwendet wurden, die Getränke waren auch von sehr, sehr schlechter Qualität, die Speisen und Getränke sind überhaupt nicht zu empfehlen.

Endlich mal eine tolle normale Kneipe..mit super Personal und echt leckerem Essen...ich werde jetzt öfter dort verweilen

Mischung aus Kneipe und Restaurant, gibt eine ganz besondere Atmosphäre. Essen sehr lecker, Bier vom Fass. Auch wenn voll, prompte und zu Späßen aufgelegte Bedienung.

Ein Brauhof halt. Bier, ordentliches essen und der Köbes war auf Zack. Kann man ohne bedenken machen. Und Fussballfans haben in diversen Blickwinkeln auf Bildschirme zum mitfiebern wenn spiele laufen. Ich war jetzt schon mehrere Male dort und war immer wieder zufrieden..Leute, geht in den Brauhof und gönnt euch eine ordentliche Haxe und dazu ein kühles Bier 🍻

Aufmerksamer Service mit Düsseldorf-typischer Getränke-Bring-Geschwindigkeit, leckeres Essen (der Senfrostbraten ist top) und uriges und ursprüngliches Ambiente. Noch so ein richtiges rheinländisches Eckrestaurant/-kneipe, gibt es ja leider nicht mehr so viele von.

Aus der Weihnachtskarte das Essen war echt schlecht. Sonst ist es ok, aber nicht gut. Der Besitzer ist eher verhalten gegenüber fremden und die dunkelhaarige Angestellte sehr unfreundlich.

Eine schöne Eckkneipe wo man sehr gut essen kann. Fussball läuft dezent im Hintergrund wenn F95 spielt. Service wahr sehr nett und immer zur Stelle wenn wir was brauchten.
