Asakusa Sushi in Garmisch-Partenkirchen

A quiet place with delicious food. We ordered shrimp ramen, avocado and salmon rolls (we asked for an extra Philadelphia on the side), spring rolls, and jasmine tea. Everything was delicious!

The sushi is simply fantastic – fresh, perfectly prepared, and of outstanding quality. Each roll is a work of art, delicately balanced in flavor and beautifully presented. You immediately notice the passion and skill that goes into making this place. An absolute must for all sushi lovers and without a doubt one of the best Japanese restaurants around.

Everything is delicious and fresh. You can order takeout.

We got takeout, which was absolutely delicious. It was also warm for some reason. You can just walk up and be asked to write down the dish numbers you want. Afterward, you'll be told approximately how long the wait will be, and you can walk around the area. Soy sauce, chopsticks, and another sauce were included with the takeout. Definitely recommended if you're staying in Garmisch and craving sushi.

The rice was soft and the sushi vinegar didn't seem to be too strong, so I gave it a rating of 4 stars. The atmosphere was calm and relaxed. The salmon and tuna sushi were large, thick, and satisfying, and delicious. The seaweed (stem wakame) salad with sesame dressing was also hearty and delicious, despite its appearance.

This restaurant is my favorite Asian-themed restaurant. It perfectly captures Japanese culture and makes you feel like you're in Japan yourself. The food, service, and atmosphere are a full 5 stars. I highly recommend it.

Quite ok sushi. But not how I prefer it. Incredibly slow service. Took 45 min to get the food. Ordered more drinks. It didn't come for a long time, so we cancelled it. But when we asked for the bill, the extra drinks came. Will choose another place next time.

The sushi rice was light and fluffy, just the way you like it, and the rolls were definitely large. In my opinion, you get a lot of sushi here, with great quality! My companion also really enjoyed the mango salad! All the staff were very friendly <3

I still crave for their fresh sushi after my return to Malaysia(we ate there twice when we were in Garmisch- Paterkerchen in Feb 2025). And I am still comparing their sushi with others in Kuala Lumpur. 😋😋😋 The only slight downside is the restaurant is small but because it’s run by a couple only, the husband is the chef and the wife is the waitress. But service is fast considering this.

Hello, We eat sushi regularly and therefore have a lot of experience with what is good and what is bad. The sushi here is way too thick, which destroys the taste, too much rice. Love is missing from my work. Here you should pimp it up with various delicious sauces. The owner should go to high-quality sushi restaurants to get inspiration. Price performance is not yet justified here.

I recently went to this sushi shop and had mixed experiences. Unfortunately I didn't like the ramen soup with beef; the pieces of beef were very small and had a frozen taste. Some of the sushi was okay, but some pieces had a fishy aftertaste. Overall it wasn't the best experience and I hope they can improve their dishes.

But when actually served It turned out to be bigger than I thought. This time it was like that! If you ordered many things from the beginning You probably won't be able to eat it all. The fish used in sushi and sashimi is very fresh. It feels like the quality of a good Thai restaurant, with good taste and texture. Especially the restaurant's signature salad that uses mango as an ingredient, which goes very well with the fresh crisp vegetables and the mellow, authentic Japanese salad dressing. The only things that I like are missing are foie gras and sea urchin, so I would like to deduct one star from the food rating. The atmosphere inside the shop is calm and relaxed, not too chaotic. Suitable for casual dining. It may not be lavishly decorated. But there is simplicity that gives a friendly feeling. Overall, this is a restaurant that is a great answer for people who miss the taste of good quality Japanese food in this small town. If anyone is in Garmisch and wants to eat sushi or other Japanese menus, come and check it out. This meal serves 5 people, approximately €185.

Probably the best sushi you can get in the area. The pricing is okay and everyone is very friendly. It's a bit small but cozy.

Great Shushi shop in the middle of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Freshly prepared, large selection of different creations and moderate prices, the shop is a real recommendation. The only thing that could be improved is the ambience.

Heerlijke verse sushi! Ter plekke, op bestelling gemaakt. Grote rollen. Het menu is ruim voldoende voor 1 persoon. Wij hebben afgehaald, zag er mooi verzorgd uit. In restaurant maar een paar tafeltjes.

Unpretentious, reasonably priced sushi / maki / rolls. It is not haute Japanese cuisine, but it hit the spot for a simple lunch. The only thing I wouldn't recommend are their noodle soups. I know better than to order either Ramen or Udon in a sushi place, but I wanted something warm. It's not their strong point but they were generous in the amount of shrimp they put in. Very good, polite service.

Wow! We don't have sushi like that in the Netherlands anymore... Perfect ratio of fish and rice. Nice big sushi with fresh ingredients. Enjoyed it very much! Not so cozy inside, so pick up.

Mit Abstand das beste Sushi etc. Take-out in der Stadt und im Umkreis. Wir haben uns in der Gruppe quasi durch die Speisekarte gegessen: wirklich jedes Gericht war mega lecker. Die Portionen sind großzügig, Änderungswünsche waren kein Problem, Tee und Wein waren fein, der Preis voll ok, und für ein Take-out sitzt man doch ganz gemütlich im kleinen Gastraum. Deswegen auch hier 5*.

Unless you want Pork roast and dumplings A good Asian restaurant is hard to find in Garmish. After having to pass up the Thai restaurant Tha Long, because they don’t take credit cards, I stumbled upon this place. The first time you see, is credit card payment only for checks 30 Euros or more. But, the friendly lady said it’s OK and so she gave me dinner. I had chicken satay, which was more chicken skin, and some soup. I thought the soup was supposed to be with vegetables and tofu. It ended up being a huge bowl of broth with tons of pasta in it, and only fragments of fresh vegetables. I was hungry, I ate it, and that’s pretty much it.

Sehr leckeres Sushi und preislich echt okay. Wer vor Ort isst muss etwas Zeit mitbringen, da regelmäßig Gerichte to go abgeholt werden. Ambiente ist schlicht aber authentisch.
