I ate there for the second time today. I am still very enthusiastic about the delicious fresh food. Great selection, very inexpensive and large portions :-) above all, the employees are very, very nice and attentive. You feel super comfortable! They were two completely successful evenings and I will go out/order dinner more often. The restaurant is a real asset to Remscheid!

Das Restaurant ist unter neuer Leitung und leider nicht mehr empfehlenswert. Unter der alten Leitung waren wir oft in diesem Restaurant mit Bekannten oder als Familie, es war alles top. Heute ist das Essen nicht so berauschend und die erhöhten Preise sind auch nicht einladend. Die Speisekarte im Internet ist noch die des Vorgängers (stimmt also nicht) und die -karte im Restaurant ist auch wesentlich verkleinert worden. Wir kommen so schnell nicht wieder dort hin. LG. How can I describe this restaurant? The service is excellent. You can tell that the owner's profession is his calling in everything he says and does. He has a perfect command of his craft, so I feel welcome every time I visit his restaurant. But his craftsmanship is topped by his wife. This woman has golden hands in the kitchen; no matter what she prepares, it's always delicious. It's not for nothing that the Costa del Sol is my favorite restaurant in Remscheid. On May 22, 2025, I returned to the Costa del Sol after what felt like too long. It's something I'd been looking forward to all day. And what can I say, the beef fillet I got was simply perfect 👌 I'm already looking forward to my next visit here. 😄

Current news 08/29/23: Unfortunately, the landlady didn't manage to keep the delicious, cozy shop running or continue to run it. And so the restaurant no longer exists. Really a shame. The food tastes amazing! Such delicious meat and the schnitzels are amazing. So if you like eating meat, this is the place for you. The landlady is so warm and accommodating, unfortunately the landlady (her husband) recently passed away (Dec 22). Let's hope that the landlady continues to run the restaurant, that would be a big loss for Remscheid if not. Wish her all the best and lots of strength! Regarding the ambience, I agree with most reviews that it is a pub restaurant. But that's not a bad or negative thing in any way, because it makes you feel more comfortable, it feels like you're going to friends' houses, you don't have to behave and dress as poshly as you would in a fancy restaurant. So everything has its advantages, just like everyone likes it.

Incredibly friendly, accommodating but not intrusive! Our 4-course surprise menu was great! Creative and delicious! Rarely have we eaten and served so well. Big praise!

My goodness! I would argue that it is the best pizza in Remscheid. So much flavor that the water runs out of your mouth. Effort is being made here and it definitely shows! Thank you ☺️

Despite the lack of staff, we were able to enjoy a really delicious dinner. The ambience is really exclusive for Remscheid, a very chic restaurant. There is a manageable selection of dishes (always a good sign for me personally). The dishes are very attractively prepared and everything was very, very tasty. The owner is friendly and seems to have big plans for the place. We would love to come back 😊

We celebrated our daughter's wedding in the Schützenhaus. It was excellent all around, the reception was lovingly prepared, the buffet was rich and great, the service was very attentive and very friendly. The space with the terrace was ideal for our celebration. We can only recommend it without reservation.

Established for a long time, no longer an insider tip - small but nice. Reservation or advance inquiry about occupancy is recommended. The menu is not overloaded, but offers enough choice with the current offerings. The dishes are excellent in ingredients and preparation. I had one of the best restaurant pizzas of my life here. The food is priced appropriately for the quality, the drinks are okay. In the bar you just can't compare with store prices for bottles. Conclusion: Run by the owners themselves with a passion for gastronomy, an absolute recommendation for an excursion into Italian cuisine without any fancy culinary escapades. Unreserved recommendation.

Great service, we had a wonderful evening with delicious food, great drinks and a wonderful atmosphere. Additional service!!! We lost something in the shop and even on the day of rest they opened the doors for us to look for it, and even with success. Perfect! Many thanks to the Mavi team
