Die fish and chips sind nicht zu empfehlen auch wenn sie lecker sind weil es einfach lohnenswertere speisen dort gibt service war sehr gut

Wir haben im Dezember unsere standesamtliche Hochzeit hier gefeiert. Wir hatten einen kurzen Termin bzgl. des Menüs, danach hat das Restaurant die Menü-Karte gefertigt und auch die Deko haben wir dem Restaurant überlassen. Die Deko sowie die Karte entsprach ganz unseren Vorstellungen und es war liebevoll eingedeckt. Das Essen hat uns allen sehr gut geschmeckt und es war reichlich. Abschließend war es ein wundervoller Nachmittag, sowohl als Paar als auch in großer Gesellschaft würden wir den Grund immer wieder besuchen.

Es war ein absoluter Gaumenschmaußen! Hier fühlt man sich wohl, der Service ist Weltklasse, das Essen ein Traum und das ganze Ambiente absoluter Wahnsinn! Sehr zu empfehlen! :-)

Wir sind regelmäßig hier essen und jedes Mal begeistert. Erstklassiges Essen und ein Service, der einen vergessen lässt, dass man in einem Restaurant sitzt, man fühlt sich einfach wie bei Freunden zu Gast. Für uns eine absolute Herzensempfehlung!

Ich kann mein Glück kaum in Worte fassen. Wir haben nach einem langen harten Arbeitstag spontan eine Möglichkeit gesucht, in Zweisamkeit gemütlich essen zu gehen. Um kurz vor 20 Uhr riefen wir an und durften noch vorbeikommen. Wir gehen gerne essen und kochen auch selbst gerne. Aber hier und heute wurde ich nach langer Zeit nochmal von einem außergewöhnlichem Essen überrascht. So viele verschiedene, unglaublich leckere Geschmackskomponenten habe ich lange nicht mehr erlebt. Und obwohl ich eher die typische Steakesserin bin, hat mich das vegetarische Gericht sehr angesprochen (allerdings mit Steak Topping 😉). Und ich bin jetzt noch überwältigt! Wenn wir öfter gefragt worden wären, hätten wir wohl auch noch mehr von dem köstlichen Wein/Bier verköstigt. Wir kommen ganz bestimmt und sehr gerne wieder!!

Vielen Dank für die wirklich schöne Hochzeitsfeier, die wir hier feiern durften. Wir sind rundum glücklich und haben viele Rückmeldungen zum ausgesprochen leckerem Aperitif und Essen, dem sehr freundlichen und aufmerksamen Service und der liebevoll eingedeckten und dekorierten Tische erhalten.

Ein toller Abend, insbesondere durch die sympathische und aufmerksame Bedienung und das hervorragende Essen.

Wir waren bis jetzt drei Mal hier Essen. Es war jedesmal sehr schön und super gut. Das Essen hat eine top Qualität, das Ambiente ist schön und die Servicekräfte sind professionell und sehr freundlich. Wir werden in Zukunft immer wieder gerne kommen.

Sehr leckere Essen zu gehobenen Preisen. Lohnt sich aber wegen der Qualität und exzellenten Zubereitung immer gerne wieder. Der Service ist sehr zuvorkommend und nett. Toiletten sehr sauber und modern. Soweit außerhalb und trotzdem top besucht. Eine Reservierung ist auf jeden Fall erforderlich.

Perfekt, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Wir haben ein wunderschönes Erlebnis mit unserem Candle Light Dinner erlebt. Wir konnten zwischen Fleisch oder Fisch Menü auswählen. Das Servispersonal war sehr aufmerksam. Wir hatten ein Dreigängemenü. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und die Speisen waren für uns sehr lecker. Alles im allem war es ein unvergesslicher Abend.

Ein toller Abend mit super leckerem Essen. Wir haben das Überraschungsmenü 4 Gänge gebucht und es war wirklich vielfältig und sehr uu empfehlen. Der Service war auch perfekt und wir kommen gerne wieder.

Sehr zu empfehlen - am Sonntag auch mittags auf für Wanderer / Fahrradfahrer mit leckeren Platten (Bergische Tapas sind super👌) und frischen Waffeln - hmmm, lecker … 😋 Kathrin und ihr Team sind tolle Gastgeber, es schmeckt, heute draußen in der Sonne gesessen, ein perfekter Nachmittag mit Hundewanderung durchs Gelpetal 🐕… Die Preise sind der allgemeinen Situation in der Gastronomie schon hoch / angemessen und entsprechen denen der „Konkurrenz“ im Umland - es schmeckt, der Service ist perfekt, die Location schön und für uns immer einen Stop wert - daher eine klare Empfehlung ✅ !

From the service and menu selection to the ambiance, everything was perfect – we felt very comfortable. The menu, from the appetizer to the three main courses and dessert, was well-balanced, and the portions were (almost) too large. Thank you so much for the wonderful evening.

We had the surprise menu (choice of fish, meat, or vegetarian). I had the meat – the selection was exceptional, and every dish was truly delicious! Particularly noteworthy were the truffled savoy cabbage and the hazelnut spaetzle. The portions were pleasantly large, and the service was super friendly and attentive. The only minor drawback: no credit card payments accepted (only debit or cash). Overall, highly recommended!

We were there for the first time today and know we'll be back!!! I particularly liked the "construction kit"! I could choose from various schnitzel variations, including vegetarian and venison. I ordered the pork schnitzel, fried potatoes with bacon, fresh peas, and carrots with Béarnaise sauce. An absolute feast for the palate! It was accompanied by a homemade iced tea, which I highly recommend. Regarding service, let me just say: the best in Remscheid and the surrounding area! I will recommend this restaurant and visit again soon! It's great that you're in Remscheid!

I was there for the first time yesterday. The food was delicious. The service was fantastic, and the ambiance was perfect. We'll be happy to eat there again and again. It's highly recommended.

We were there on a Wednesday evening. Since Wednesdays have only recently become a day off, it was very empty. However, we had the full attention of the extremely friendly waiter, who served us very courteously. The menu offered something for every taste, so we ordered a selection of vegetarian antipasti starters and two extremely delicious pasta dishes, one of which we enhanced with strips of rump steak. This, too, was perfectly cooked and complemented by a delicious (red wine?) sauce. An all-around delicious meal, even if it was a bit lonely...

A beautifully decorated restaurant in a fantastic location. It's great that the menu also includes vegetarian and vegan dishes, and they're very creative. I had eggplant lasagna with gnocchi in a sage sauce, and my husband had duck with pointed cabbage and spaetzle. We haven't eaten this well in a long time. Everything was freshly prepared. The apricot dumplings with homemade ice cream are highly recommended for dessert. We were absolutely thrilled and will definitely be back. Even though the food is a bit more expensive, it's worth every euro!!!!!

I was invited, otherwise this restaurant would certainly not have been in my selection, as I usually avoid places where animals are only important for enjoyment. The vegan spring goulash and the vegan tagliatelle with wild garlic and asparagus were very good. That actually makes it even sadder that there were only these two vegan dishes. And the smell of fish and chips also costs an ambience point. The kitchen can do something, but wastes this skill on traditional things.

A wonderful evening in a very high quality restaurant. The food is prepared beautifully with large portions and brought to the table by attentive and qualified waiting staff. Our group had vegans and two who have to eat gluten free and this was easy for them to deal with. Highly recommended.

The food was worth every cent not only to the eye but also to the palate. The staff are unreservedly attentive and friendly. The process left nothing to be desired. Unfortunately I don't have any photos. I was so taken with everything from start to finish. Maybe on the next visit. It will definitely happen.

Be careful with vouchers!!!!! My husband and I had reserved a table for yesterday and were really looking forward to the evening. Right at the beginning we said that we would like to redeem our “4-course menu” vouchers and handed them over directly. The food tasted very good and the staff was very friendly and attentive throughout. Up to that point it had been a completely successful evening. Then we asked for the bill (the drinks are understandably not included in the menu), we paid and were about to leave when the staff came up to us and said that the "4-course surprise menu" voucher was not enough for a 4-course surprise menu, as the price had increased since the voucher was purchased. We were supposed to pay an additional €41.12. We said that we didn't fully understand it; we had handed in the vouchers at the beginning and we could have been informed about that. The employee replied that he had to call his boss. "No problem." Shortly afterwards we were told again that we had to pay, for the reasons previously mentioned. We then asked for an invoice. I was asked for my identity card, I handed it over immediately, and the boss was consulted again. Then they said he would be there in a few minutes. We waited. I would definitely like to emphasize that the entire staff was very friendly throughout and it was very pleasant to talk to them. Not so in the conversation with the boss that followed. We introduced ourselves to the gentleman in a friendly manner, he didn't respond and just asked "What's the problem now?!" We have described the situation again as described above. He said: "You pay it now, the voucher doesn't have the value, end. If not, then I'll call the police. The people who gave you the gift didn't want the price to be on it, so it says voucher for a menu. So they have 2 minutes from now!" We replied: "Why do you want to call the police now? This is a service voucher and not a value voucher. Here it says voucher for a "4-course surprise menu" and not "voucher worth or 4-course surprise menu worth €X". He replied: "You have 2 minutes! Then I'll call the police. So what now? Bar or card?” My husband said: "Sorry, but we would like to clarify the situation. We don't understand why we weren't told at the beginning that we wouldn't get a 4-course menu for the 4-course menu voucher. Instead, we were only told after we had paid the first bill that we had to pay more. We would like an invoice." The boss then replied: "Now you still have 1 minute. And anyway, what are we talking about here? 42€? Can't you afford that? I won't issue an invoice, I won't pay in advance for you. Now there are 30 seconds left. I'll lock the door here and call the police!" I then asked why he wanted to lock the door now and that we had no intention of running away. The man didn't respond to that, he said again that he would call the police and lock the door. I have rarely been so perplexed in my life and I have never been spoken to so rudely. The man continued waving his cell phone: "Well, time's up, I'm calling the police!" Our renewed, astonished question: “But why?” was answered with: "That's cheating! It's called cheating, I'm locking the door and calling the police!" Talking to this person was absolutely pointless, no conversation was possible. My husband then asked to be shown the receipt book. At the time of purchase, a voucher cost €44.44 (so a total of just under €88 - by the way, exactly the value of a 4-course surprise menu for two people if we had bought it on Groupon at that moment...). I'm annoyed with myself, but then I paid. It was pointless to continue talking to this person.

Direkt zu Beginn haben wir geäußert, dass wir unsere "4-Gang Menü"Gutscheine einlösen möchten und diese direkt abgegeben. Das Essen hat sehr gut geschmeckt und das Personal war durchgehend sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Bis zu dem Zeitpunkt war es ein rundum gelungener Abend. Dann haben wir um die Rechnung gebeten (die Getränke sind verständlicherweise nicht im Menü enthalten), wir haben bezahlt und wollten gerade gehen, als das Personal auf uns zu kam und äußerte, dass der Gutschein "4-Gang Überraschungsmenü" nicht für ein 4-Gang Überraschungsmenü reiche, da dieses seit Kauf des Gutscheins im Preis gestiegen sei. Wir sollten 41,12€ nachzahlen. Wir äußerten, dass wir das nicht ganz verstehen, wir hatten die Gutscheine zu Beginn abgegeben, da hätte man uns bereits informieren können. Der Mitarbeiter erwiderte, dass er seinen Chef anrufen müsse. "Kein Problem." Kurz darauf wurde uns erneut gesagt, dass wir zahlen müssen, aus den zuvor genannten Gründen. Wir haben dann um eine Rechnung gebeten. Ich würde um meinen Personalausweis gebeten, diesen händigte ich sofort aus, es wurde wieder Rücksprache mit dem Chef gahalten. Dann hieß es, dass er in wenigen Minuten vor Ort sei. Wir haben gewartet. Ich möchte unbedingt betonen, dass das gesamte Personal durchgehend sehr freundlich war und das Gespräch mit ihnen sehr angenehm. Nicht so das dann folgende Gespräch mit dem Chef. Wir stellten uns dem Herrn freundlich vor, er reagierte darauf nicht und fragte nur "Wo ist jetzt das Problem?!" Wir haben die Situation, wie oben bereits beschrieben, erneut geschildert. Er hat geäußert: "Sie zahlen das jetzt, der Gutschein hat nicht den Wert, Ende. Wenn nicht, dann rufe ich die Polizei. Die Leute, die sie beschenkt haben wollten damals nicht, dass der Preis darauf steht, daher steht dort Gutschein für ein Menü. So sie haben 2 Minuten ab jetzt!" Wir erwiderte: "Wieso möchten sie denn jetzt die Polizei rufen? Dies ist ein Leistungs- und kein Wertgutschein. Hier steht Gutschein für ein "4- Gang Überraschungsmenü" und nicht "Gutschein im Wert bzw. 4-Gang Überraschungsmenü im Wert von X€". Er erwiderte: "Sie haben 2 Minuten! Dann rufe ich die Polizei. Also wie jetzt? Bar oder Karte?" Mein Mann äußerte: "Entschuldigung, aber wir möchten die Situation gerne klären. Wir verstehen nicht, wieso man uns nicht bereits zu Beginn gesagt hat, dass wir für den 4-Gang Menü Gutschein kein 4-Gang Menü bekommen. Stattdessen wird uns erst nach dem Zahlvorgang der ersten Rechnung gesagt, das wir doch noch mehr bezahlen müssen. Wir hätten gerne eine Rechnung." Der Chef darauf hin: "Jetzt haben sie noch 1 Minute. und überhaupt, wovon sprechen wir hier? 42€? Können Sie sich das nicht leisten? Ich stelle keine Rechnung aus, ich gehe ja hier nicht für Sie in Vorkasse. Jetzt sind es noch 30 Sekunden. Ich schließe hier die Tür ab und rufe die Polizei!" Darauf hin habe ich gefragt, warum er denn jetzt die Tür abschließen wolle und dass wir nicht vorhätten wegzulaufen. Darauf ging der Mann nicht ein, er sagte wieder, dass er die Polizei rufen und die Tür abschließen werde. Ich war selten in meinem Leben so perplex und mit mir wurde auch noch nie so unverschämt gesprochen. Der Mann wedelte weiter mit seinem Handy: "So, die Zeit ist rum, ich rufe die Polizei!" Unsere erneute, verwunderte Frage: "Aber warum?" wurde beantwortet mit: "Das ist Zechprellerei! ZECHPRELLEREI nennt man das, ich schließe hier die Tür ab und rufe die Polizei!" Mit diesem Menschen zu reden war absolut sinnlos, es war kein Gespräch möglich. Mein Mann hat dann noch darum gebeten, dass man ihm das Belegbuch zeige. 44,44€ kostete zu dem Zeitpunkt des Kaufs ein Gutschein (also insgesamt knapp 88€ - übrigens genau der Wert eines 4-Gang Überraschungsmenü Menüs für zwei Personen, hätten wir es in dem Moment auf Groupon gekauft ...). Ich ärgere mich über mich selbst, aber ich habe dann gezahlt. Es war mir zu blöd und auch absolut sinnlos mit diesem Menschen weiter zu reden. Ich empfehle jedem: Kauft keine Gutscheine und solltet ihr einen bekommen und ihn einlösen und die gleiche Unverschämtheit erleben wie wir, dann seid stärker als ich und wartet auf die Polizei.

We had: - a delicious greeting from the kitchen and an aperitif. - a delicious appetizer. - a very tasty main course. - Unfortunately, dessert wasn't to our taste. - a good espresso ☕️ Large selection of drinks. Top service. There could be more parking spaces. Thanks to a voucher we had another trip, which we wouldn't repeat again just for the restaurant. But if you're in the area, you should definitely go.

Was there for the Whyski tasting. Absolutely magnificent. If you don't do that, you're really missing out.

We wanted to reserve a table for a special occasion via mydays. Unfortunately it doesn't work online. It just says that we can only reserve an appointment with the organizer himself. So we called there. Unfortunately, the contact person given by mydays, Mr. Jablonski, was extremely unfriendly and immediately hung up because in his opinion it had to work online. The second call was also hung up within a few seconds. An absolute disgrace. So the joy was taken away from the day and the visit to the restaurant. The mydays voucher will be rebooked. We didn't expect this kind of treatment of potential guests given the actually good reviews.

The schnitzel with truffle cream was great, as was the apple strudel for dessert! Clear recommendation for everyone who wants to eat well and values ​​professional, friendly service! The ambience is beautifully decorated, which made us immediately feel at home. There is an inviting atmosphere that invites you to linger. The flexibility of the restaurant is particularly noteworthy. Whether fish, meat or vegetarian – there is a suitable option for every taste. In addition, special requests, such as lactose-free milk or individual adjustments to the dishes, are possible without any problems. This is definitely a plus for guests with special dietary needs.
