Great host with a sense of humor, the food is top-notch, the location is superb!

We visited the Maiers Blau Weiß restaurant today and it was simply fantastic. The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. We'll definitely be back.

Everyone was very courteous, attentive, and friendly. The chef and the restaurant manager even came by personally to ask about the quality. Excellent!

We live right across the street from Maiers and went there yesterday for the first time since the reopening. We were absolutely thrilled! Lovely atmosphere, very nice and friendly service, and truly fantastic food! The Munich-style schnitzel with mustard and horseradish was divine, and the spinach dumplings with sage butter and the Käsespätzle (cheese spaetzle) were also superb, not to mention the incredibly delicious Kaiserschmarrn! We'll definitely be back.

We went to Maiers for the first time yesterday and were absolutely delighted. The food was fantastic (roast beef with onions, Alpine-style cordon bleu). The staff and the owner are very friendly. Even though it was busy, there were no long waits. The prices are reasonable, but not too high. We'll definitely be back.

What a fantastic restaurant! Finally, a delicious, traditional German restaurant in Remscheid. Dishes just like Mom used to make. Everything is noticeably handmade. Dishes like roast pork, Spätzle (visibly handmade), roulades, and much more. A visit is highly recommended. It's probably best to reserve in advance, as many guests enjoy the food, the ambiance, and the professional service. Enjoy your meal! 😍

The change of ownership went smoothly and the food is delicious. Many thanks to Lucia for her excellent service. Unfortunately, the other waitress made a rather negative impression, and I don't think that will work out well in the long run. We'll probably come back again, hopefully under Lucia's management.

Unfortunately, things aren't like they used to be. Intermezzo used to be a great place. Many thanks to Lucia, who, as always, took excellent care of us. The other waitress wasn't quite as nice and often seemed annoyed. The food was good.

Update on Maiers: I was there with my son for the grand reopening. The restaurant was very busy, and we heard nothing but praise from the tables all around. First, we were served an amuse-bouche, followed by the melted and Swabian Maultaschen (filled pasta pockets). Both were delicious. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this restaurant. Intermezzo: Excellent as always, we'll be back anytime.

We visited Maiers for the first time today and highly recommend it. We had roast pork with sauerkraut and dumplings, as well as the Swabian Maultaschen (filled pasta) dish; both were delicious, and the Kaiserschmarrn (shredded pancake) was mmmh 🤩. Thank you for the friendly service.

A very rustic, tastefully decorated restaurant, without unnecessary frills. All in all, very harmonious. Kudos to the new owner. The menu, considering the number of dishes, is perfectly adequate and offers something for everyone. A very nice, hearty selection of Bavarian cuisine. Besides the potato soup, I had the beef goulash with red cabbage and bread dumplings. The red cabbage was absolutely divine. Truly delicious. The goulash was very tender and, combined with the rich, dark gravy, simply divine. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and even the chef made a point of personally checking on our meal. The service was attentive but not intrusive. Drinks arrived very quickly, as did the food. It was also served hot and on warm plates. That's how it should be. I hope, no, I'm convinced, that Maiers will be around for a long time. Anyone looking for truly good, traditional cuisine prepared with the utmost skill at reasonable prices should definitely try Maiers. P.S. Free parking is available on site.

We attended the grand opening of Blau Weiß Herzhaft on November 22nd and were absolutely thrilled! Bavaria has arrived in Remscheid, and the Kaiserschmarrn was our highlight! Highly recommended.

Seven of us had a lovely evening yesterday, even though it suddenly got very crowded due to a thunderstorm and heavy rain. It should be noted that this is a tennis club with several tennis courts. And there was apparently a tournament going on. Everyone suddenly came in and, of course, wanted drinks. There was also a larger group already there, and all the small tables were occupied. So you could say the place was packed! From the kitchen, you could hear schnitzels being pounded in unison! But respect! The very young waitress was consistently friendly and tried her best to accommodate everyone. The manager also distributed drinks and apologized for the slight chaos. We didn't mind it at all, nor did we mind the fact that we had to wait a little longer for our food. Everything was absolutely freshly prepared, to perfection, and all our special requests were accommodated! 5 well-deserved stars for this masterpiece! The schnitzels are incredibly good, the side dishes perfect, and the salad delicious and fresh! Unfortunately, I can't comment on the steaks, but what I saw looked damn good! Hats off to this small team, who obviously know how to handle large numbers of guests!

Yesterday, several of us went to Intermezzo for dinner for a company outing. We had reserved a table and were able to sit down as soon as we arrived. Our orders were taken relatively quickly, although it must be said that the restaurant was busy, so it was okay. Unfortunately, the food took a long time to arrive after ordering – more than an hour – but the food for 14 people arrived at the same time, so we were all able to enjoy our meal together. The portions were great and well-priced; it was truly delicious! The young waitress was very friendly and always had a smile on her face! Intermezzo is definitely worth a visit!

I've been coming to Intermezzo 1-3 times a year for 10 years. It's consistently good and always friendly. German cuisine with countless schnitzel and steak variations. You should reserve a table if you're coming with more than two people. The potato soup with Mettwurst is delicious and plentiful as a starter.

We were there yesterday to celebrate my wife's birthday. The staff was quick, attentive, and friendly. The food was plentiful and delicious. We felt very comfortable.

Intermezzo is somewhat hidden away. It has a great outdoor terrace. I received a friendly welcome, and the waitress came to my table promptly and asked what I wanted. The food was freshly prepared, and even the salad was fresh. All in all, you can say that you'll feel at home here. Great atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly service. What more could you ask for? I will definitely be back.

Unfortunately, I can't rate my "experience" today at the Intermezzo in Remscheid as good. Today we waited 30 minutes for a table (despite a reservation). The food took a total of 2 hours to arrive and there was no excuse for such great service. Sorry, but there's definitely a better way.

Recommend? Yes, absolutely! The menu is quite “schnitzel-heavy”, but it really tastes very good here! Unfortunately, the days of counting around €20 per head are over...almost everywhere...

Schönes Lokal,sehr gemütlich, aber mit Schwächen. Wir waren zu dritt, 3 x je ein unterschiedliches Schnitzel. Alle drei Schnitzel waren nur lauhwarm, wir haben es beanstandet, aber es wurde ignoriert. Der Wirt stand hinter der Theke, war ständig kräftig am Husten und hustete in die Hand, mit der er alle Gläser anfasst. Das ist schlechter Stil und nicht hygienisch. Beim bezahlen wurden wir gefragt, ob alles in Ordnung war, also unsere Beanstandung war vergessen. Aber dann erhielten wir ein Dessert .

Quite ok not as expected by telling acquaintances

Since we had checked into a nearby hotel on Saturday, November 23, 2024, we stopped by Intermezzo on our own in the early evening. The two of us each had the "Holstein-style" schnitzel with fried potatoes and were absolutely thrilled. Very, very tasty, including a salad and bread with ajoli to start. The staff, I think the owner and his wife, made it possible to seat us at a great table by the window despite the restaurant being fully booked. Conclusion: A full 5 stars! Excellent cuisine, very friendly staff in a cozy atmosphere, lovingly decorated. A must-stop if you want to eat well in Remscheid.

Last weekend we were at Intermezzo again, this restaurant is always worth a visit. The dishes are delicious across the board, and the schnitzel dishes are particularly recommended. The prices are now a bit higher, but for me these are probably the best schnitzels in Remscheid. I would particularly like to mention the service. Despite the busy restaurant and only one waitress, we were served quickly and friendly and we didn't have to wait long for our food. We always enjoy coming here.

When I visited the restaurant, I was invited to a vegetable soup (minestrone) and had a very tasty schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce. The service was great and very friendly.

Schönes Restaurant in Remscheid Baisiepen, normale Preise, ordentliche Qualität

Ich war hier heute kurz vor Ladenschluss ohne vorherige Reservierung. Obwohl die Küche schon geschlossen hatte, bat mir der Gastwirt noch an kurzerhand eine Schnittchenplatte zu zaubern. Klasse! Lecker und gastfreundschaftlich.

War angenehm überrascht. Überaus anspruchsvolle Räumigkeit, Bedienung äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend und Essen sensationell lecker und große Portionen. Ich war sehr zufrieden. Sogar eigener Parkplatz vorhanden.

Sehr lange Wartezeiten fürs essen

Wir waren zum ersten mal hier obwohl wir schon mehrere Jahre direkt "nebenan" wohnen. Vom Essen über den Service bis zum Ambiente war alles wunderbar! Das Steak war auf den Punkt wie gewünscht medium, die Bratkartoffeln exzellent. Da die Portionen sehr ordentlich waren, haben wir uns den Rest einpacken lassen und auch dafür keinen schiefen Blick bekommen. Wir kommen sehr gern sehr bald wieder!

Fühlt sich an wie ein kleiner Geheimtipp am Rande von Remscheid :) Wir waren anlässlich eines Familiengeburtstages das erste (aber auf gar keinen Fall das letzte) Mal zum Abendessen im Intermezzo. Schönes Ambiente in hellem, offenen Raum, herzliche Kellnerin, sehr leckeres Essen! Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne nochmal wieder. Vielen Dank!

Leider waren wir enttäuscht. Bei den Preisen hätte ich mehr erwartet. Die Produkte waren von normaler Qualität und es fehlte der Pfiff. Geschmacklich in Ordnung. Sehr bemühte Bedienung, die sich leider von der Küche einen Anpfiff abholen durfte, weil sie nicht schnell genug verteilt. Das Gastraum war nicht komplett gefüllt, aber alleine ist das schon eine Herausforderung, das geht gar nicht. So etwas sollten Gäste auch nicht mit bekommen. Der Wirt ist zu sehr damit beschäftigt miesepeterig rein zu schauen und den Tresen fest zu halten…. der könnte ja umkippen. Wir haben ca 1,5 Stunden auf unser Essen gewartet. Die Stühle und Tische klebten, die Toilette waren schmutzig. Wir wollten dem Restaurant noch einmal eine Chance geben…. beim letzten Mal viel uns leider sehr unangenehm auf das in der Küche vom Personal geraucht wurde. Das wars für uns nicht noch einmal.

In stilvoller Atmosphäre oder im schönen Außenbereich kann man hier sehr lecker essen. Hier bekommt man sein Steak auf den Punkt nach seiner Bestellung. Wie ich finde ein Muss für jeden Fleischliebhaber .Aber nicht nur, auch für Freunde  anderer Köstlichkeiten wird hier was geboten. Ein großes Lob auch an die sehr freundliche und schnelle Bedienung. Ich war mit Sicherheit nicht das letzte mal dort.

Vielleicht ein unterschätztes kleines, aber feines Restaurant mit Bar. In Remscheid-Süd etwas abseits, aber trotzdem gut mit Bus (Linie 675) und Pkw erreichbar mit kostenlosen Parkplätzen (leider nicht allzu üppig). Nicht modern eingerichtet aber mit Wohlfühlcharakter und freundlichen und sympathischen MitarbeiterInnen. Die kleine Küche schafft es, ohne großartig Convience-Produkte einzusetzen, leckere bodenständige Gerichte mit Hausmannscharakter dem Gast zu offerieren. Die Salate sind stets frisch und die Weine mit Sachverstand ausgesucht und mit moderatem Preis angeboten.

Das Essen ist vorzüglich, das Ambiente sehr schön, aber eine Speisekarte online ohne Preise, geht in meinen Augen gar nicht....

Etwas verstecktes, gemütliches Restaurant am Stadtrand. Am Eingang wird auf die Maskenpflicht und die Handdesinfektion hingewiesen (Spender vorhanden). Wegen der C19 Regeln waren maximal 5 Personen pro Tisch erlaubt.

Auf der Suche nach was neuem dort eingekehrt. Der Eingang ist etwas unscheinbar, da auf einer Tennis Anlage, aber dahinter wird es sofort nett. In der Gaststätte ein nettes Ambiente, sehr freundliche Bedienung, und leckeres Essen. Die Steaks ein Gedicht. Auch die Schnitzel meiner Begleitung kamen gut an. Wir kommen wieder.

Super Restaurant. Klein und gemütlich, richtig lecker da kann ich nur weiterempfehlen. Und würde immer wieder dahin gehen. Zum Personal kann ich nur sagen sehr nett und freundlich.
