Good sushi… but pay an extra 3 euros for wasabi and ginger?

Even as a child, I exchanged my pocket money for ice cream there 35 years ago. I live far away now, but when we meet up there with the family, I've never been disappointed. The rump steak and salads are great. Schnitzel is also highly recommended. The classic is of course the chicken, which everyone is always enthusiastic about. Service quick and friendly.

Seit Jahrzehnten ist die Ratsstube Blasius eine Institution, sowohl in der Qualität der Zutaten als auch der Kochkunst. Ich war mit meinem Bruder hier, wir hatten ein Weihnachts drei Gänge Menü, vorweg eine köstliche bretonische Fischsuppe, Rinderfilet mit Gratin Dauphinois und zum Abschluss eine Crème brûlée. Jeder Gang für sich war ein kulinarischer Genuss und auch der Wein (Primitivo) war hervorragend. Der Service war ausgesprochen zuvorkommend und angenehm, das Ambiente ist stimmig und der Preis ist absolut angemessen. Bin leider nur noch selten in Merzig, hier wäre ich wohl Stammgast. So freue ich mich also auf meinen nächsten Besuch.

Absolutely great service in the restaurant! The atmosphere is impressive and I have to expressly praise the very well-trained, very attentive (without being intrusive), absolutely well-mannered and extremely friendly staff! Rarely have I had such incredibly good service. The dishes are all worth the money and beautifully presented. Eating there yesterday was the right decision and it won't be my last time there.

Since the tenant/owner changed (after Corona) I can no longer make any recommendations, the portions are so small that you go home hungry, and not so tasty that you want to go back a second time. Unfortunately I have to have one too Give it a star otherwise I can't give a rating. The new tenants deserve 0 stars.. For me one of the worst restaurants around here.. It's a shame, I was previously a regular customer with 4 people (Before Corona with the "old" tenant/owner)

Small, rustic owner-run pub. Very nice landlady. Moderate drink prices.
