Very friendly and attentive. We found them through the gourmet guide. The food tasted very good and we will definitely come again.

Friendly staff. I personally didn't like the food, but it was worth a try. They don't serve alcohol (beer/wine).

The restaurant is pretty run down. The sun blind in front of the entrance is very black and dirty. Several things in the restaurant are also broken. The tiles on the entrance steps are also broken. The ladies' restroom is missing handles on the door and the light is broken. The men's restroom isn't very clean either. The food was okay, but the ambiance wasn't. On Sunday lunchtime, only one other table was occupied besides ours.

Once was enough for us. It wasn't our standard, and the taste wasn't our thing either.

The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The ambiance only earned 2 stars because the outdoor area was a bit littered.

Yes! You can eat well there. The atmosphere is okay, but the outside wasn't quite as well-kept, but it was still okay. Very friendly to children. The price/performance ratio was also good.

We went there for dinner with friends in the evening. We sat comfortably outside. The food was very good. However, for me, a good meal requires a good glass of wine. A beer also goes well with the grilled dish. It's a shame, but for me, two waters and a homemade lemonade were completely out of place with the otherwise excellent food. So, unfortunately, we won't be back...

Bad restaurant, bad service, after an hour of waiting, the food was wrong and not good.

We had an excellent grilled platter in the restaurant, and the service was also exceptionally friendly. I consider the restaurant's downside to be that it doesn't sell alcohol, which probably puts off some people who enjoy a freshly tapped beer or wine with their meal. We'll be back and get a non-alcoholic wheat beer.

Aleppo Gate impresses with its authentic Syrian cuisine. The dishes are excellently seasoned, freshly prepared, and full of flavor – a true taste experience! The grilled meat was particularly outstanding. The ambiance is pleasant, and the service is friendly and attentive. A few minor details could be improved, but this hardly detracts from the overall impression. A place to experience the diversity of Syrian cuisine.

I really liked the Aleppo Tor Restaurant in Merzig. I've been there several times, today for dinner. It's a Mexican/Syrian restaurant in the old town. First there was a greeting from the kitchen and then I had a chili con carne. And as a service, the question of how spicy the stew should be. I thought it was great! And then a mixed grill plate for one person. It was tasty and generous in size. All in all a successful evening!

If you like Arabic cuisine you should definitely stop by here. There is a variety of oriental dishes. Our food was delicious and everything was very fresh and high quality. Personally, I think the prices for the portions are a bit too high. This could be improved. But that's also complaining at a high level.

Yesterday I was in the mood for Mexican cuisine and we chose the Aleppo Tor restaurant. We were greeted warmly and given the menus. Then we were brought an illustrated menu, which helped us a lot. The restaurant offers Mexican and Arabic cuisine. No alcohol is served, which isn't a bad thing. There is a good selection of non-alcoholic cocktails, beers etc. The starters looked great and tasted great too. The main course was also super tasty and plentiful. We were always served quickly and friendly.

I was very happy and I was not expecting it. I swear without exaggeration, there is a lot of good food and the way the food is presented is amazing and the treatment is nothing short of amazing, especially the young man serving the food and the prices are more than amazing. I came from Zarbrücken 50 km away and I don’t regret it and I will go back to it.

Very good Arabic restaurant with a wide range of Syrian and Mexican dishes.

I became curious about the gourmet block and spontaneously stopped by on Saturday. Food was very tasty, portions were large and drinks were delicious. However, it is only available non-alcoholic. Food also came quite quickly, ingredients seemed fresh. Sanitary facilities were clean. Everything fine!

Unfortunately there are only non-alcoholic drinks here. I think it's the only restaurant far and wide that doesn't offer wine, aperitifs, digestives, beer, etc. This is what you should know before your visit!!!! You only find out that there is no alcohol when you order your drink. It's a shame...because the food is good. You can often ask at the table if anyone would like to drink something else. Please choose the toilets yourself.

We love Arabic cuisine and are quite good at it ourselves. Today we were in Merzig for the first time and decided on the Aleppo Gate. The dishes were all simply perfect in terms of seasoning, degree of doneness, presentation and value for money. Absolute recommendation and full marks, it couldn't be better.

The worst restaurant in entire Germany!! I have visited so many restaurants in Germany,, unfortunately this restaurant was the worst!! We got cold food after 2 hours of waiting , In addition , we had to wait another 30 minutes to complete our order !! Services are literally 0 ,, no one cares about you as a client specifically when you are the first visit ,, one another point the waiters are always busy with people who have shisha,, Not to mention the outrageous prices as well !!

Nice restaurant in downtown Merzig with Syrian and Mexican cuisine. On weekends you should reserve a table. The dishes are delicious and visually appealing. The service is friendly and accommodating. If the restaurant is full, it may take a while for the dishes to arrive. Definitely give it a try. No alcohol is served in the restaurant.

Preferably 0 stars We waited outside for over 1.5 hours and nobody came after we ordered. We asked the waiter a lot about it but unfortunately we were ignored Once and never again !!

It was my worse experience in this restaurant. It was a friday, to find halal food i searched on google but after arrival i saw they also selling alcoholic something, afterall they brought food wan't very good quality but literally expensive 😴

Went there for the first time today and ordered a grill plate. As a starter we had delicious flatbread with a garlic dip. All in one, authentic Arabic cuisine as we know it. All 3 types of meat were very well seasoned, plus there were pickled cucumbers, pepperoni, fries and hummus, all very tasty. Gladly again!

Tolles Ambiente mit arabischer Musik im Hintergrund. Sehr nette Bedienung, hilfsbereit und geduldig. Da ich typisch arabisches gereicht haben wollte, hatte sich die Bedingung (Mann) viel Zeit für uns genommen, verschiedene Gerichte erklärt und Bilder gezeigt. Die hausgemachte Limonade schmeckte nach mehr, sehr lecker und war etwas fürs Auge. Wir haben uns schon bei der Vorspeise wie im Schlaraffenland gefühlt. Unsere Gerichte waren mega lecker, sehr reichlich und ebenfalls etwas fürs Auge. Dann kam noch ein kleiner Gruß aus der Küche. Das war das i-Tüpfelchen auf unserem Essen. Wir haben das Ganze mit fantastischem, arabischem Mokka abgeschlossen. Aleppo Tor in Merzig ist wärmstens zu empfehlen. (Die Anfahrt hat sich gelohnt)

Sehr freundliche Bedienung ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Essen war sehr lecker und reichhaltig. Nachdem Gäste gegangen sind, wurde der Tisch abgewaschen - das gibt einem ein gutes Gefühl.

Es war eher Naja. Gestern Abend waren wir mit Freunden im Aleppo Tor essen. Als wir ankamen würde uns ein großer Tisch zugewiesen was schonmal gut war. Die Bedienung war nett aber sehr unaufmerksam und viel am Handy oder setzte sich an einen Tisch und redete mit Freunden. Also bis die ersten Getränke kamen vergingen mindestens 20 Minuten und es waren höchstens 6 Leute im Laden. Das Ambiente war eine Katastrophe. Es ist eine Mischung aus Chinarestaurant, Mexico und einem hauch orientalisch. Kommen wir zum Essen. Die Speisen waren sehr ölig und zum Teil Tiefkühlprodukte (Falafel). Das Hühnchen war gut, das Lamm war ok hatte schon einen leichten Schafgeschmack. Für mich wars ein Versuch wert aber werde nie wieder kommen

Bedienung war nett, Essen war OK. Im großen und ganzen eher so für einmal zum probieren aber nochmal leider nicht.

Sehr gute syrische Gerichte in dem Familien geführten Restaurant. Service war gut. Leider dauerte lange, bis jemand kam, um zu kassieren,obwohl nur wenige Gäste dort waren.

Ich hatte eine leckere Grillplatte mit Lamm, Rind und Kalb. Alles war gut gebraten, Beilagen waren lecker vorallem der Hummus, Ambiente war schön aber ein bisschen dunkel, Service war freundlich und zügig. Alles in einem eine gute 4-Sterne Bewertung.
