You'll definitely leave full! The portions are definitely large. Taste is a matter of personal preference; it didn't suit our taste. The fish was good, but the rice was far too heavy and very dense. The fritters were just so-so. It wouldn't have been so bad if the prices hadn't been relatively high.

The service was very friendly. The wait was about 20 minutes as it wasn't very busy. We had a platter of fried sushi. It was nicely presented on a stone slab. There was a selection of three different types of fried sushi. Taste-wise, they weren't very different from each other, as they all tasted of old frying oil. I'm home now, and they taste like old fries from a fast-food stand. It's a shame we couldn't eat them all.

My visit yesterday was unfortunately disappointing. The order was initially taken incorrectly – that can happen, of course, and it could have been discussed. However, what I found truly unfortunate was the unfriendly manner of the employee when I picked up the order. Firstly, she claimed the order was taken incorrectly because I had taken too long. The phone call lasted a full two minutes. Secondly, we were very rudely told to get the money quickly so the restaurant could close – even though it was only 9:40 pm and the restaurant is officially open until 10 pm. Small mistakes can happen, but friendliness and respect towards customers – especially when you've traveled a bit further – should be a given. It's a shame, because the food itself was fine – the service, however, was not.

We were there on a Saturday evening, and it was truly fantastic. We were absolutely thrilled with everything from the ambiance to the service and the food. It was very quick, and the food was of high quality. So, the value for money was really good. We'll definitely be back.

We ordered and picked up sushi. Unfortunately, the food wasn't ready at the stated time, so we had to wait again. But the wait was worth it. Delicious sushi, whether cold or hot. We will definitely order again.

The food at Tokio tastes very good, but it is extremely greasy and salty.

The sushi itself tastes really good – fresh, well-prepared, and of a high standard. Unfortunately, there are a few things that tarnish this positive impression: Many of the sushi pieces fall apart, making eating unnecessarily difficult. When you're then asked to pack up the leftovers yourself, and your bowl and cutlery are cleared away, it doesn't exactly make things any more pleasant. What particularly bothered me: You have to pay extra for wasabi and ginger. Given the prices charged for sushi here, I certainly expect such basics to be included. Conclusion: The taste is convincing – but under these conditions, it was probably a one-time visit for me.

The fact that wasabi and ginger have to be paid for separately at a surcharge of €3 each should be stated as information when you ask what you would like.

Very tasty!! Huge portions – definitely not to be underestimated! I overdid it a bit because I didn't know how big the sushi was...I still had leftovers for the next day :) Highly recommended!

The taste was mediocre, we waited a really long time for the food, and the kids got their meals last. The soy sauce seemed like it was diluted with water, and all in all, it was too expensive for what it was.

A lovely little restaurant, but unfortunately not in the best location. Sitting on the terrace, you have a direct view of the bar patrons next door, as well as their noise. The wait was long, over an hour, even though the restaurant wasn't very busy. The service was overwhelmed. I still don't understand why they offered us wasabi, which they later charged an extra €1.

The pub next door is unfortunately unsuitable, at least if you want to eat outside. Otherwise, we waited over 45 minutes for the food. When I ordered the second drinks, I also complained about this. I was told, "We'll see how long you've been waiting." Then this round of drinks might be on the house. When the bill came later, all the drinks had been charged. I didn't comment further. Even the wasabi was charged at one euro. The restaurant wasn't very busy that evening, by the way.

Waiting 1.5 hours for our food is one thing, but raising a voice when we tell them the wrong food was brought is outrageous. We can't imagine another visit!

The sushi didn't blow me away 🤷‍♂️ I've had better for the money (yes, I know what sushi costs). The sweet potato fries, on the other hand, were great. The service was excellent, fast, friendly, and attentive. Since we only sat outside, I can't really comment on the ambiance. However, I would definitely sweep the outdoor area or blow it out with a leaf blower. The cigarette butts and trash on the ground unfortunately don't make a good impression 🤷‍♂️ 3+ with room to improve 👍🏻

Overall, a rather mediocre experience. For €22-23 ramen, I expect at least a rich broth of a good to high quality. Unfortunately, it wasn't any better than Kabuki ramen packets from an Asian store. The pork ramen, unfortunately, is just thin slices instead of pork belly. The sushi is very lightly tossed, the fish quality is only mediocre, and the sushi rice is so-so. Overall, the place is very expensive – I don't know if rents are that high in MZG, but the price-performance ratio is completely out of this world. In my opinion, it's a cash grab for people who have never eaten Japanese food before. Sorry to say, but as a layperson, I can do better at home...

I recently went to this sushi restaurant and absolutely loved it! The restaurant is extremely clean, which immediately leaves a positive impression. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, so you immediately feel welcome. The atmosphere is cozy and invites you to linger - perfect for a relaxed meal. But the highlight is of course the sushi: it tastes simply excellent! Fresh ingredients, artful preparation and a large selection make the experience perfect. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely come back!

We are regular customers of the company and are always satisfied with the quality of the products and service. It's just a shame there's no delivery. Otherwise we can only recommend!

We ordered there for the second time today and picked up the food. When we got home we noticed that the order wasn't complete, which can happen to anyone, no problem. They said we could come pick up the rest. After we set off again and the order we had already received got cold at home, we didn't even get an apology, that would have been the least. That's why unfortunately only the 2 stars, although the food is good..

We've been going there regularly to pick up sushi for two years. Great every time. Consistently good quality and never had a bad day. You can also sit very comfortably in the restaurant and experience good service. Pleasant climate and a very pleasant atmosphere. Top! Top! Top!

We visited this restaurant and absolutely loved it! The food is incredibly delicious, and ingredients are definitely not skimped on here. The rice is its own highlight: light, aromatic and in no way bland – which is a real rarity. We have tried Japanese cuisine in many places, especially in Germany, but we have never experienced such presentation and quality before. The cuisine here is simply fantastic! Admittedly, the restaurant is in a somewhat inconspicuous location, but I honestly think that this place has the potential to become successful in larger cities - you can definitely do it. Went there without a reservation. We were still able to take a seat straight away. Very rich offer! Super delicious, including the dessert. A latte at the end, which was also really hot, very good! Only for me it would be a little more pleasant if the ambience were a bit brighter, but that is of course a matter of taste. We were also surprised by the really reasonable prices.

We are guests of your city. As we were told: “The most delicious sushi in the city!”, so it happened. Location and interior: The restaurant is located in the city center. The interior is neat, calm, comfortable. Cuisine: excellent sushi, fresh fish, properly cooked rice, both baked and classic rolls are wonderfully good. All portions are impressive in size :) Well, very tasty. Service: fast, to the point, without errors. The overall impression is pleasant. I recommend it.

We celebrated our graduation at this Japanese restaurant and were very satisfied. There were a lot of us, but when everyone got together the order was already ready. The rolls were extremely tasty and the chefs didn't skimp on the ingredients. The price ended up being very low, especially considering the quality of the dishes. I would like to emphasize that the price of these rolls was really low. The service was first class and we even got a discount. We had a great time and everyone was happy. Special mention should be made of the table decorations, which were simply amazing!

If you love cream cheese, you'll get your money's worth here! If you like sushi, you're better off going somewhere else. You really don't taste anything except cream cheese. Very nicely decorated, unfortunately the wine list is not good. Chicken from the wok tasted slimy and is not recommended. Wasabi costs €3 extra for the sushi, a box for the leftovers costs €1. It's a shame that something like that ends up on the table and in the glass at this location.

I've been there several times now to pick up sushi. Sushi is very tasty. Service is ok. The facility is not for everyone. Everything was kept very dark. Some people like it, I like it less... :)

The ambience was modern, a matter of taste, but relatively dark. Service was ok. We ordered seaweed salad and Tom Yum soup. The soup was extremely coconut milk heavy and therefore more like a cream sauce. Anyone who has ever eaten a real TomYum in Thailand will immediately taste the difference. The seaweed salt was good. For the main course we ordered sushi. A sushi dish was deep-fried, unfortunately it ended up being far too greasy because the filling melted and you couldn't even eat it with a fork (let alone with chopsticks). Unfortunately, the filling mainly only consisted of cream cheese. The other sushi was with fish roe which tasted good. The rice had little taste. Price performance is quite ok. When we wanted to have some packed, we were charged €1 for the small box, which we only saw afterwards on the bill. A bit bold.

A small and very cozy restaurant, the food is amazing, very big portion, the Price is fair and a very quick service. They pack also the rest of food which you can take home Everytime we have a free weekend, we love to eat overthere.

The food is incredibly delicious. It's not cheap but definitely worth the price for anyone who likes sushi or other fish dishes. The ambience is very pleasant and creates a very calm atmosphere.

Good presentation, delicious food, good service. The waitress is charming. All positive. If you have to look for a problem, the bathrooms need to be renovated to be up to par with the rest. We will return without a doubt.

I was there for the first time. You should reserve a table there as the location is not huge. But... Absolutely great decor. The music is great. Sushi... Great... The noodles... Perfect. The service is also great. So it was definitely not the last time I was there.

Ist super lecker viel Auswahl man kann sich nicht wirklich entscheiden was man essen soll und die Suppe die muss man auf jeden Fall essen wir waren das zweite mal da und sind richtig begeistert und werden mit sicherheit noch mal hingehen und vom preis her finde ich es ok 👌

Sehr gutes Essen. Die Bedienungen sind aufmerksam aber nicht aufdringlich. Wir hatten als Vorspeise eine Suppe und zu zweit ein Set mit 24 🍣. Hat uns vollkommen gelangt. Natürlich gibt es auch die Möglichkeit den Rest mitzunehmen. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Leckeres handwerklich gut gemachtes Sushi in familiärer Atmosphäre. Hier waren wir vor Kurzem mit Freunden essen und ich war wirklich überrascht wie frisch und lecker das Sushi hier ist. Personal ist sehr freundlich und die Wartezeit bis das Essen nach dem Bestellen am Tisch ist war echt nicht lange. Die Karte gibt einiges her und es finden sich neben Klassikern auch kreative Sushi-Kreationen. Alles in allem absolut empfehlenswert. Wir hatten einen schönen Abend. Danke.

Super leckeres Sushi! Wir sind so froh, dass es endlich ein super Sushi Restaurant in Merzig gibt & man nicht immer bis nach sls/SB fahren muss. Die Toiletten sind nur etwas in die Jahre gekommen .. Preis/ Leistung hat gepasst, Sushi ist halt teurer. & die Cocktails waren auch super lecker.

Super leckeres Sushi mit eigenem Flair. Die Makis und Nigiris sind etwas größer als bei anderen Restaurants, was die Preise definitiv rechtfertigt. Wir bestellen gerne zu Feiertagen zum abholen und essen meist zwei Tage lang Sushi.

Ich war gestern Abend das erste Mal dort. Das Essen war sehr lecker und frisch. Die Auswahl ist super und die Bedienung äußerst nett. Alles in allem hat man sich sehr wohl gefühlt und ich hatten einen spaßigen Abend dort, ich komme definitiv wieder :-)
