We can only recommend it again and again. What Christoph Schäfer and his team have achieved here is sensational. The Sleeping Beauty in Heppingen is a wine and beer bar and at the same time a restaurant where you can eat very well. After a hike from Dernau, we stopped by the Sleeping Beauty again. Service: Top!, there's nothing more to say. Drinks: Great selection of wines. The beers from Reissdorf and Bitburger on tap, 0.2l at € 1.90; various wheat 0.5l for € 4.10. The usual non-alcoholic drinks, e.g. 0.7l water for € 4.10. Food: Good selection, there is something for everyone. We had the salad plate with turkey strips for €10.80, Cordon Bleu and Jägerschnitzel each including salad for €18.60. For the kids there was bratwurst with fries for €8.10. So everything at moderate prices. All dishes were freshly prepared, generous portions and, above all, tasted good. Ambiance: The old inn has its own flair, as does the attached tent. A little more decoration would look good outside, but it's currently winter 😉. Otherwise there's nothing to complain about. Conclusion: As always, worth a hike. In terms of price/performance, many a restaurant and some managed hiking huts can take a page from this. We will 100% come back!

Das beste Essen in ganz Pirmasens. Die Wirtsleute sind sowas von nett....immer wieder ein Besuch wert. Waren heute Gans essen, war wie immer sehr lecker. WEITER SO IHR MACHT DAS KLASSE. 👍👍👍

Very pleasant, bright and very friendly service. We had breakfast and had salmon, which was very generously portioned and super fresh. The coffee was delicious and you can choose between cow's milk, oat milk or soy milk. The clientele was predominantly female and very mixed in terms of age and style. We really liked it and would love to come back. Small tip: at the weekend you have to book three weeks in advance or be very lucky to get a table

A culinary highlight with warm service We had a wonderful evening in the Gütchen and are completely thrilled! As soon as you enter, you feel welcome and well looked after by the warm hostess and the attentive staff. The service is professional, friendly and always present with a smile. The food was a real taste experience - every dish was perfectly balanced, creatively put together and made from high-quality ingredients. You can immediately tell that they work here with great attention to detail and a passion for good food. The menu compositions are unusual and yet harmonious - a pleasure for the palate and the eyes alike. If you value fine cuisine, excellent service and a special atmosphere, Gütchen is the right place for you. We'll definitely be back!

Super tasty tarte flambée. The selection is large and there are savory, fishy, ​​vegetarian and sweet variations. The ambience is high quality, the chairs are heavy and comfortable, the tables are solid, everything is very high quality. Service is nice and quick, prices are ok. Gladly again at any time. Update: that was once in Ransbach Baumbach and my review refers to that. Is it no longer there? I just saw that they just moved to Westerburg...I'm assuming the food stayed the same good. The photos of the facility are of course obsolete (I will then remove them)

The best chicken around. The rest of the dishes are also highly recommended. The staff is nice, but in my opinion the prices have risen a bit too much recently, otherwise I'm satisfied.
