The location is very beautiful and tastefully decorated, the service pleasantly unfussy and as friendly as it was flexible. A mistake in our order (we actually wanted the regional menu, but ordered the autumn menu) was rectified by the owner, who was able to switch courses 3 and 4 (with a fair price adjustment). The veal tartare was flawless and perfectly balanced. The gratin of fine fish would have been absolutely delicious if cooked to perfection, but unfortunately, it was a touch too salty. The same fate befell the sauce for the goose, which could have been a bit more succulent (the beautifully crisp skin, red cabbage, chestnuts, and quince side dish were excellent). The dessert (crème brûlée) was simply divine. Overall, I would have rated the meal 3.5, rounded up to 4. Next time, I would gladly give it 5. Addendum: excellent selection of regional wines.

It could be a great place for a relaxed meal. I was very pleased that they now offer a vegetarian menu. Unfortunately, it was the worst food I've ever eaten. The artful presentation doesn't compensate for the fact that two courses are drenched in vinegar, the dessert is bland, and despite the hefty price, the whole thing isn't even filling. It's completely incomprehensible that this menu was actually offered. Even during testing, it should have been obvious that falafel made from lentils simply doesn't work and tastes awful. Why not just offer the asparagus in a vegetarian version? There's an urgent need for further training in vegetarian and vegan cuisine!!!

We were invited to a private party there and can give 5 stars for everything.

Great creative food with good service.

I ordered beef roulades and goulash from the shop, so I can't comment on the ambiance. The delivery arrived sturdy and lovingly packaged, with a nice personalized note. The roulade was tender and delicious, the sauce was amazing, as was the goulash. This certainly isn't my first time ordering from there – the veggie sampler is already on its way, accompanied by roulades 😋. I tried it, it's really delicious!

Oh my God... that was an explosion of flavors... Everything... from the welcome from the kitchen to the main course (I was too full for dessert, unfortunately 😥) was beautifully presented, portions more than sufficient, truly incredibly seasoned... an experience for the senses... Unfortunately, there isn't a restaurant like that here in Cuxhaven... sob... we'll be back 🤗☺️

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Gütchen. The upscale ambiance, upscale quality, and upscale prices all worked together. The only thing was that the time between courses was a bit too long for our liking, sometimes lasting more than 20 minutes. The hostess was absolutely professional and at the same time very personable.

A super nice place, delicious food, and always a full glass of wine. Highly recommended for weddings, too.

There's good food at Gütchen - Jan Treutle Jan Treutle, the master of the kitchen, impresses with authentic, regional cuisine with small forays into Mediterranean cuisine. Fish, meat, and even vegan dishes are finely presented and reveal recognizable aromas. While Treutle enriches the dishes, his wife impresses guests with her warmth and dedication to service. The restaurant is located in a modern, elegant, airy, high-ceilinged room within a charming Baroque property in the historic castle park. On warm summer days, I highly recommend the wonderful terrace.

We were privileged to experience a truly exceptional evening with Mr. and Mrs. Treutle. The ambiance exudes a harmonious elegance that has an almost magical quality on balmy summer evenings. The hostess and service are attentive, warm, yet pleasantly unobtrusive and understated. The individual courses impress with sophisticated compositions of high-quality, seasonal ingredients that are perfectly matched. For us, the Restaurant im Gütchen is THE culinary destination in Bad Kreuznach and the surrounding area: simply authentic, honest, and of the highest quality. Anyone who visits here is doing everything right.

A great evening with lots of surprises from the kitchen

High-end restaurant, both in terms of cuisine and price.

A lovely birthday dinner, albeit with a few drawbacks. We opted for the "Local Menu," an ambitious symphony featuring some exquisite ingredients. The starter was pan-fried foie gras with cherries, jus, and brioche: a true delight, fruity and delicate, with a real kick. The asparagus cream soup that followed was finely seasoned, frothy, and featured crisp asparagus. Then came the big disappointment of the evening: the main course, surf and turf – lobster tail and veal. Unfortunately, the dry lobster meat was extremely difficult, if not impossible, to remove from the shell, suggesting it had been cooked for too long. A large portion of the meat remained on the plate, which significantly detracted from the experience. Even the two excellent, intensely flavorful sauces couldn't compensate. It was a real shame, as this course had promised to be the shining highlight of the €95 menu; the lobster was the reason we chose it in the first place. Unfortunately, the dry lobster meat was extremely difficult, if not impossible, to remove from the shell, indicating overcooking. Three plus points for the wonderful, idyllic setting in a former manor house, the service, and the creative vegetarian menu. The wine pairings selected by the owner for the four courses were outstanding – every drop was a perfect match! A small suggestion: On hot summer days, it would be advisable to use some kind of fly repellent in the courtyard. They were a bit bothersome during the meal.

We visited this restaurant during our trip to Bad Kreuznach, prompted by a mention in the magazine "Feinschmecker". It was a wonderful experience in a fantastic atmosphere. We received a very warm welcome, excellent advice, and the food was sensationally delicious. Certainly the best restaurant in town – a must-visit!

We live too far away and can't go to a restaurant there. But: we ordered the ready-made meals in jars. The delivery was very quick, and everything was packaged very carefully. After trying eight different jars, we are absolutely thrilled. The highest quality and the best taste. We will be ordering from there regularly in the future.

We've always been very satisfied. I always say, "I'll only spend my money somewhere that's at least as beautiful and as delicious as at home." Unfortunately, that wasn't the case today at Gütchen for the first time. The dishes were very salty and too meaty. The service was good, but inauthentic and purely functional. And most importantly, at 9:30 p.m. we were "swept out." There was a lot of clatter like in a cafeteria when the tables are being set for the next day. This is how the stars in each category are determined. The ambience won it for today. We hope this was a one-off slip-up.

Very nice atmosphere, attentive and service-oriented service. But unfortunately the food was completely over salted. The anticipation was great, but the result was mixed. Just as mixed as the slightly tough beef fillet, which also didn't skimp on salt. The greetings from the kitchen as well as the bread and homemade spread were - as amazing as it sounds - the best part of the menu in terms of taste. The dessert turned out to be a well-intentioned attempt at Austrian cuisine. All in all, a disappointing price-performance ratio.

Very nice, well-kept and personally run restaurant. Interesting menu combinations. With excellently prepared dishes that were intensely seasoned on the one hand and very balanced on the other. Extremely courteous personal service with competent wine advice. For what is comprehensively offered in terms of quality, taste, beautiful ambience and service, the pricing is seen as being on the lower level, so an excellent price-performance ratio.

There's really nothing to complain about here... some restaurants can take a page out of it... absolutely good value for money... one of the few high-priced restaurants where not only the quality and taste are good, but also you you are full even after the starter and main course without having to eat the menu up and down... please leave the "church in the village" with the prices despite inflation and VAT... otherwise keep it up and keep it up...

In principle, everything in the Gütchen is tip top. The ambience is great, as is the food. The service is also extremely courteous. There is the same quality but also a little cheaper. We'll still come back.

The fish had died 4 times, 2 times when frozen in the cheapest breading, 3 times when thawing, 4 times in fat when frying. The fish was served with coarsely chopped cooked red beets and gnochi from the packaging and... man I'm not ashamed to charge so much money for something like that and to present it as gourmet cuisine🙈 never again!

In a nutshell - EVERYTHING DONE RIGHT! Manageable (that's meant in a positive way!) and extremely appealing menu, great decor, super friendly service - and a really wonderful meal. We will be back!

Hatte eine Einladung zum 85. Geburtstag. Das Menü war sehr gut abgestimmt und hat hervorragend geschmeckt. Die Getränke waren lecker. Der Service war freundlich und schnell. Die Lokation ist weiter zu empfehlen.

Ein wunderbares Restaurant, super gutes Essen, mit Liebe und Herzblut zubereitet. Es war ein Genuss. Tolles Ambiente. Alles Liebe und Gute an die Betreiber und den Koch.

Ja, ein Highlight egal ob Essen oder Service inklusive Ambiente. Preis Leistung gerechtfertigt. Ich habe mich durch das Vegetarische Menü gegessen und war begeistert.

Juni 2023: Wir haben einen besonderen Anlass gefeiert und uns sehr auf das Gütchen gefreut. Leider wurden wir sehr enttäuscht. Die Bedienung (etwas ältere Dame) war äußerst unfreundlich und ging nicht im geringsten auf unsere Wünsche ein. Es wurde immer gesagt - bei uns ist es so. Das Essen war ok, jedoch jenseits von unseren eigentlichen Vorstellungen eines so kostspieligen Restaurants und wir haben schon einige prämierter Restaurants besucht. Ebenfalls unerklärlich, weshalb man bei einem solchen Restaurant nicht mit Kreditkarte zahlen kann. Das wäre uns gar nicht in den Sinn gekommen und wurde bei der telefonischen Reservierung auch nicht mitgeteilt. Leider absolut nicht empfehlenswert, da Preis-Leistungsverhältnis gar nicht passt.

Wir waren an einem sonnigen Sonntagmittag auf der Terasse. Der Tisch war vorbestellt und nach einer Nachfrage durch das Personal durften wir auch den blockierten Parkplatz benutzen. Die Karte mit den diversen Menüs liess uns das Wasser im Munde zusammenlaufen. Wir durften uns die Gänge aus verschiedenen Menüvorschlägen zusammensuchen. Das Lachstartar war gut. Das Filet und Roulade vom Rind waren lecker, allerdings war die Roulade sehr fest und die Kruste des Filets nichts für mich. Das Reh war auf den Punkt und mit eher neutralem Geschmack. Am schlimmsten war aber der fritierte Stör, übergart und kaum Geschmack. Leider gab es nur einen Gruß aus der Küche und die Gerichte wurden nicht erklärt. Der Service war höchstens mittelmäßig! Eine 1l Flasche Gerolsteiner für 8 € darf man wohl überteuert nennen. Die Atmosphäre war aber sehr schön und das meiste Essen wirklich gelungen.

Sind gestern dort gewesen und haben uns ein drei Gänge Menü gegönnt. War sehr sehr lecker, freundliches Personal und schönes Ambiente. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder dort hingehen, können wir absolut weiter empfehlen.👍👍👍

Wir haben einen Kurzurlaub in Bad Kreuznach verbracht und ein Höhepunkt war der Restaurantbesuch „Im Gütchen“. Ein ganz tolles, angenehmes Ambiente, passend für einen schönen Abend. Sehr freundliches, höfliches Personal und natürlich ein spitzenmäßiges Essen, dass geschmacklich nicht zu übertreffen ist . Nicht zu vergessen, die exzellente Weinkarte mit Empfehlungen vom Haus. Leider kann man nur 5 Sterne vergeben, gefühlt sind es doppelt soviel!

Noch nie enttäuscht. Wir haben uns einmal verspätet, da unser Auto ein Problem hatte, und brauchten etwas länger bis unser Ersatzwagen geliefert wurde. Zum Abschied hat uns die Chefin ihren Zweitwagen angeboten, (auch wenn wir schon ein paar mal da waren, sind wir keine Stammgäste) damit wir nach Hause kommen, nicht wissend - das wir bereits mit einem gekommen sind - danke!! Neben dem bisher immer sehr gutem Essen und Wein ein immer durchweg Top Service :)

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal im "Im Gütchen" und waren zum zweiten Mal begeistert. Warum geht man in ein solches Restaurant? Um ein kulinarisches Erlebnis zu genießen und hier liefert das Gütchen ab, mit Bravour. Gang auf Gang, untermalt vom äußerst aufmerksamen Service, den ich hier eher als Copilotin bezeichnen würde. Fantastisch. Die Weine, das Essen, die Texturen, das Arrangement - alles vom Feinsten. Wir freuen uns auf den nächsten Besuch.

Auch beim zweiten Besuch fehlen mir die Worte, die Exzellenz der Kochkünste zu beschreiben. Vielen Dank! Auch der Service ist hervorragend, die Abstände zwischen den Gängen sind perfekt abgestimmt und die Weinempfehlungen erstklassig.

Essen in sehr angenehmer Atmosphäre, mit edel/rustikalem Ambiente. Die Servicekräfte waren immer gegenwärtig, ohne aufzufallen. Die Restaurantleitung hat immer direkt sehr professionell reagiert, wenn ein Wunsch offen war. Das Essen war absolut höchste Qualität, und genauso zubereitet und angerichtet. Exzellent! Die Weine, korrespondierend zu den jeweiligen Gängen, immer passend, und sind durchweg angenehm zu genießen. Zum Abschluss der Espresso, oder auch die Spirituosen, an deren Vielfältigkeit kein Wunsch offen bleibt, erstklassig. Ein absolut gelungenes Erlebnis, ein wunderbarer Abend, einfach unvergesslich. Ein Dankeschön an das gesamte Team!

Das Gütchen hat mich vom Ambiente und Geschmack voll überzeugt. Das war das beste was ich je gegessen habe. Geschmacklich top. Wird zu meinem spitzen Lueblingsrestaurant. Einen Stern muss ich vom Service abziehen. Es wurde mir keine Getränkekarte gereicht und auch keine Empfehlungen ausgesprochen. Bei den meisten Gästen wurde nachgeschenkt, so das es eine Möglichkeit der Nachreichung gab. Hat mich etwas geärgert, dass mir dies nicht empfohlen wurde.

Excellent food and warm service in a modern, yet historic environment. The menu’s based around 4 courses and 4 themes (Regional, Mediterranean, etc.), totalling in 16 dishes. Choose a theme or mix and match the dishes like we did. The crispy Pulpo is a must! The wine list champions the best of Nahe - think Schafer-Frohlich, Emrich-Schonleber, Diel. A must visit during VDP auction season, but do book early.

Unbeschreiblich gutes Essen und die nettesten Gastgeber die man sich vorstellen kann. Hatten unser Hochzeitsessen dort und haben es nicht bereut. Das Essen und die Menschen dort haben den Tag perfekt gemacht.

Für Liebhaber einer High End Restauration ein äusserst leckeres und empfehlenswertes Erlebnis. Qualität und Auswahl von Speisen und Weinen, der Service und natürlich auch die Preise bewegen sich auf hohem Niveau, aber alles in allem preiswert. Ein Restaurant für den besonderen Anlass. Parkplatz direkt vor der Tür. Reservierung empfohlen.

Das Gütchen ist mit Abstand das beste Restaurant in unserem Umkreis. Es ist jedes Mal ein kulinarischer Genuss. Jeder Gang ist perfekt abgeschmeckt und eine Geschmacksexplosion.
