Never had such good chicken. The staff was extremely friendly, and the food looked great, too. I'll definitely go there again :).

We had a very good meal, and the service was excellent. The prices are a bit higher, but the quality is good. We found the ambiance a bit disappointing – it lacked decor or a cozy atmosphere, which made the room feel quite empty and a bit noisy. Nevertheless, overall, it was a successful visit – well-deserved 4 stars.

We wanted to order for pickup using the Schlemmerblock (gourmet booklet). We were told on the phone that this wasn't possible. You'd have to order two drinks and two hot main courses in the restaurant (does that exclude sushi menus entirely?). When we replied that this was what the Schlemmerblock listed, they didn't respond and finally hung up. It's a shame; that's not what we call hospitality.

Two of us went there for dinner. It was delicious. Highly recommended.

A bit sparse when you first walk in. The food was great, though. The food was presented as a substitute for the table setting, which is a bit unusual, but it works. Reservations are recommended. We really enjoyed the taste and will definitely be back. The menu is available online, and the dishes come exactly as pictured. Special requests like no peanuts or avocados were no problem either; they even asked if it was an allergy or just a taste issue, which suggests they actually use separate equipment.

By far the best Japanese restaurant for miles around. A very extensive menu, fantastic food quality and flavors, friendly service, and a stylish ambiance.

Great ambiance, great atmosphere, superb food. We come here often and enjoy it, no matter the season. Even if we don't live nearby. The drive is definitely worth it. Parking is available behind the church. The opening hours are generous. Highly recommended.

Highly recommended! Saturday evening, the restaurant was completely booked. Sure, okay, we had to wait longer. That's fine. But then we made a mistake: the wrong food. A total disaster for the kitchen. Our server had to take the food back. We ate there with friends last week and were extremely disappointed. We had reserved a table. When we arrived at the restaurant, it wasn't busy yet, and we were asked very quickly about our drink preferences. Our food orders were also taken very quickly. A total of eight meals were ordered. Up until that point, everything was fine. But then things went terribly wrong. Although it was obvious that we were traveling with six children, we had to wait about 70 minutes for our food. The most annoying thing was that all the tables that were occupied after us were served food before us; some of them had even ordered elaborate sushi platters. And when we asked about it, we were given a rather rude response that we were, after all, a large group. What I don't understand, however, is the fact that we didn't order elaborate meals, and especially considering there are children in the group, there was no communication or questioning about whether the children's meals should be served earlier. In addition, the food was very poorly presented, meaning it couldn't compare to the pictures on the website or online. The next shocker came when I paid later. I had ordered three children's plates, and if I hadn't asked, I wouldn't have been charged correctly. Unfortunately, a very disappointing visit.

A great place to feast...very friendly service in the historic Egg Market. We sat outside. We had tofu curry and chicken curry. We would definitely like to come back. We were here through the Schlemmerblock and are happy to have discovered this great restaurant.

There's no other way to put it, the food tastes absolutely amazing!!! I've been here for sushi several times. The staff is also incredibly friendly and absolutely commendably friendly!! Everything was clean and tidy in the restaurant (I only ever picked up my order, but the atmosphere inside was always clean and pleasant). !!!!!!!! BUT: the prices were already high before, but since the new price increase, they've been sub-par—or should I say super-par? High and really, really, just outrageous!!!!!! Sorry, but there's no other way to describe it. Small portions, rice is a main ingredient in the sushi, and even dishes with, for example, maki kappa (rice and cucumber?!?) have gone up in price, which is really outrageous for the small rolls! It's a shame, but since the price increase, when individual rolls—which were already very expensive—some went up by 2 euros, I haven't been seen here as a customer. As good as it tastes, it's no longer worth the overpriced price. Too bad! For anyone who wants to be full and doesn't have to worry about the price, this is absolutely recommended! 10 stars for taste and service! For the average Joe: buy sushi from Eat Happy at Rewe or Edeka; it's half the price and twice as filling. Of course, the food doesn't taste quite as good, but it doesn't have quite as bitter a taste afterward, considering you've paid the price 😅

A good restaurant. The food was a bit pricey, but the quality and taste were sensational. Still, a bit more portion size would have been appropriate for this price. I highly recommend this restaurant for a culinary journey. The service was absolutely professional! The waitresses were very attentive and truly knowledgeable!

Were there today. Luckily we made reservations because it was really busy. From the reservation to the payment, everything was great. Very friendly, attentive staff and very good service. The food was served 1a. We were totally surprised and positively thrilled. We will definitely be visiting there again in the near future. We can only recommend the Katsu. Unfortunately you can only give 5 stars each, they deserve more.

The food was very good and the atmosphere was very pleasant. But what really made this visit outstanding was the service from Kjell. So attentive, warm and professional - you always felt like you were in good hands. I can't remember the last time I was served so well. Big compliment and many thanks to Kjell – a real figurehead for the restaurant!

The tables are far enough apart, but some spatial separation would be desirable. (1 square room with all the tables in it). The food at Katsu is really very good! The sushi, in particular, was incredibly delicious last time – fresh, perfectly prepared, and tasted amazing. But the other dishes are also really good and highly recommended. The service, however, leaves a lot to be desired. The wait is very long, and it just doesn't move fast enough. Plus, the restaurant is often very noisy. Nevertheless, I would go back again and again because the food is really good with the current chef.

If you want to go out to eat on Sunday evening, you should make a reservation to be on the safe side. We did that and were reminded again by email this afternoon about our reservation for 6:30 p.m. When we arrived at the restaurant at 6:22 p.m., all tables were occupied. The waitress said it would only take a moment until the table was free. At 6:40 p.m. the whole thing was announced again. After another 5 minutes of waiting, we left the restaurant because there was still no sign that a table would be available. You could have expected at least a drink on the house to bridge the waiting time. For us, an underground performance in terms of service and customer orientation.

There were 3 tables occupied at 4:45 p.m. and when we asked if we could sit down, we were told that everything was reserved without even looking at the reservation book. I haven't experienced anything so unprofessional in a long time! We were there for the first and last time.

Dreadful, Slow and inefficient service. Orders taken incorrectly, food brought unenthusiastically and erratically to the table, drinks Order forgotten, incapable of splitting a bill 50/50. Starters were excellent (12b) but the rest of the food was very mediocre - all sauces tasted the same. Extremely disappointing - highly unlikely that we will return…. An expensive evening for poor quality….

We wanted to eat sushi again and came here. The restaurant itself is more reminiscent of a dining room, not at all cozy. The entrance doors alone are a challenge - one opens inwards and the glass door then opens outwards... We were served quickly and friendly, the sushi was well prepared, but we didn't get full despite the "proud" prices. I'm used to better things. Unfortunately.

The food is hard to beat, but the ambience isn't 100% inviting. It's like a big 'hall' and very loud. You have a view of every table and hear a lot of conversations, there are no small 'corners' as usual in sushi restaurants, it would be nice if there were fewer seats and more space for separators. Nevertheless, it is worth a visit and we will do it again!

I was at Katsu for the first time this week. My son goes there often and is always thrilled. We were there together. My son kept his promise. It was really tasty and very nicely prepared. I have to say about the ambience. There are restaurants in the area where the atmosphere is good and the food is very bad. That's why I can't understand some of the bad comments

Unfortunately, in my opinion it has now become far too expensive :( The price-performance ratio was much better before... EDIT: Thanks for the answer, I also believe you that your costs are higher. However, other sushi shops of the same quality are much cheaper and had a less high price increase.

The cuisine/dishes meet expectations. The dining room including the interior is reminiscent of a canteen at best. We didn't feel comfortable here. The service is good, but unfortunately nothing more. We know that it is not easy to find capable colleagues, which makes the rest of the ambience all the more important in addition to the quality of the food. A dry ice fountain doesn't help either. That's better!

The service is a disgrace. Not only is the menu on the website not up to date, but prices and quantities are completely different to the menu on site. Although we were informed on the phone, it wasn't even mentioned that the Schlemmerblock was not compatible with our order. This cannot be seen on the Schlemmerblock itself. Excellent pan-Asian cuisine. There is something for every palate, whether curry, pho or sushi, vegan, vegetarian or carnivore. Everything very appealing. The only criticism (above the line!): the espresso could be hotter.

We just had a meal there last Saturday. It was good sushi, but the crispy varieties were too hard and crunchy. The restaurant was very cold and it took a long time (45 mins) to get our food from the time we ordered. They played loud country music that was somewhat distracting. I can compare this restaurant to others in the area, e.g., Noir in Wiesbaden and Hiro in Mainz and those two were on balance better for atmosphere and food.

My wife and I visited Katsu Restaurant because of the positive reviews. Our service was very attentive and friendly. The food was well prepared and really tasty. However, I have to mention that both my wife and I suffered from an upset stomach after eating and the following day. I suspect that we couldn't tolerate one of the spices.

Katsu is one of the few places that I have no hesitation in recommending to any lover of good sushi! The ambience is very appealing with a fairly minimalist interior and is complemented by attentive and friendly service. The sushi is served in an equally appealing and unusual way and impresses with its high quality and very good taste. My personal highlight was the “Dezato” dessert combination, which I warmly recommend to every “sweet-tooth”. I was also more than impressed by the teas served (especially lemongrass) and in combination with the food they are not too overpowering when it comes to their sweetness and taste. All in all: always a more than satisfactory experience!

We went to Katsu for my birthday recently and had a great lunch. Our sushi platter was lovingly prepared and everything tasted wonderful. There are now new dishes on the menu, but my favorite is and remains the Crispy Mountains or the Aburi Flambeed Sushi menu. The service is always friendly and courteous. If desired, a suitable wine accompaniment to the food is also recommended. We come here often and always enjoy coming back, but I didn't know that birthday children get a piece of matcha cream cheese cake with fresh berries for free ^_^

Mein Mann und ich hatten das Candle Light Dinner gebucht und waren begeistert. Der Tisch war super schön eingedeckt mit Kerze und Rose genau wie beschrieben (Rose darf man übrigens mit nach Hause nehmen). Zum Essen: Mein Mann hatte als Vorspeise flambierten Thunfisch mit Wakame und marinierten Zwiebeln und dann ein Crispy Sushi Fusion und nochmal das eine Menü mit Thunfisch und war mehr als zufrieden damit. Alles war sehr frisch und hochwertig. Ich hatte die Nudeln mit Ente, das Fleisch war zart, das Gemüse noch etwas bissfest, aber nicht zu viel, sondern genau richtig. Auch Das Kokosmochi zum Dessert war mega lecker. Alles in allem würde ich sagen das Essen war perfekt! Der Wein: Eine Punktlandung! Der Sommelier hat uns einen weiß gekelterten Merlot empfohlen von einem Weingut aus der Gegend und was soll ich sagen, der Wein war einfach nur köstlich und hat wunderbar zum Essen gepasst. Fazit: Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Abend mit einem fantastischen Essen, einem vorzüglichen Wein, die Mitarbeiter waren freundlich und haben sich sehr gut um uns gekümmert. Vielen lieben Dank für einen wunderschönen Jahrestag bei euch. Der nächste Tisch ist schon reserviert :-)

The Flying Noodles with chicken came out with raw chicken, which is unfortunately not acceptable. My husband was given a new portion straight away after complaining, but he had already eaten raw chicken by then, as it obviously wasn't noticeable (from the outside) and remains While we wait and see if there will be consequences for him eating it, let's hope for the best. The noodles for €22 were very nicely prepared, but unfortunately he didn't get enough. The ambience is horrible, unfortunately it's just a large noisy room in which you can't understand your own words (but the positive thing for us was that our 2-year-old son could be as loud as he wanted, and the background noise really didn't bother anyone ). The service was very friendly and accommodating and they also apologized for the noodles. Only, as described above, the waitresses didn't really know what they were bringing to the table and everything became a little chaotic and was mixed up. It can also happen by chance, but we interpreted it that way. Sushi tasted good, but all in all we wouldn't go there again because there was just too much to complain about and we didn't feel comfortable overall. Unfortunately, the portions are not that big, so it happens that you get good and tasty food for €70 with drinks, but unfortunately you don't feel full. Unfortunately, when it came to the noodles, they didn't pay too much attention to whether the chicken was cooked through properly, but it has to be said that you immediately got a new dish in which the chicken was cooked through. We were disappointed here and then went to another restaurant. The interior of the restaurant is a bit sparse. No pictures or any other decoration. The volume in the large room is so loud that you can no longer hear the person you are talking to and have to scream to be able to have a conversation at all. The waiters are trying hard and friendly, but unfortunately they mixed or swapped the orders so that as a guest you no longer know what belongs where. Unfortunately, I had the impression that the waiters didn't really know what dish was which. I expected a little more in this price segment (€30-€40 per person). I'll leave it open whether I'll visit the store again.

The ambience is also good, at least in Kreuznach, leaves a lot to be desired. When it's busy, the place has more of a pub feeling, which is mainly due to the volume. Conversations are only possible to a very limited extent. Even though the food is great, I probably won't eat there again.
