Restaurant Zum Dom in Worms

Superb food, very friendly and attentive staff. You feel very comfortable and welcome here. One small drawback: the restrooms are located in the basement, which can be a bit difficult for guests with mobility issues.

We were served quickly and didn't have to wait long for our food. Everything was great, and the surprise at the end, the dessert, was amazing. Thank you so much, we'll be back.

This was our third time here. This time in a larger group. We've never experienced such hospitality anywhere else. The food was once again plentiful, freshly prepared, and incredibly delicious. Your every wish is fulfilled. Excellent value for money. Everything is very clean. All the best and see you soon. 😀

Update! 10/25/24 New visit to !Zum Dom! The starter was as delicious as usual! Service good and everyone very nice!! The main course: 1x pork medallions with spaetzle and hunter's sauce! Failed! Food is being returned!! The meat was grilled to death and the hunter's sauce was very bad. Spaetzle drowned in the sauce! 1x veal schnitzel with rice and hunter's sauce! Failed!! Rice overcooked! The same bad hunter's sauce!!! Veal schnitzel 2 mm thick and more breading than meat!! Drove 40 km and paid 60 euros!! What a disappointment!!! 1 star for the hospitality!! -2 for ruining a lovely evening!!! A guest at the Restaurant zum Dom in Worms!!! (October 17, 2023) The restaurant has been open for about 2 months!!! The menu has a very Greek feel, and there's also rump steak, for example!!!! The ambiance is new, and the direction is clear!!!! It's very clean!!! Friendliness is the name of the game here!!! Appetizer!!! Grilled pepperoni!!! For us, unbeatable. Delicious. Mild spiciness, slightly sweet with garlic!!! The side salad is very fresh, but the dressing is rather bland!! The size is sufficient!! Main course: Grilled chicken breast fillet!! The meat is well-seasoned and plentiful! The side dishes: 1x rice / 1x potato slices were good.... We had 1 spicy paprika sauce that was spicy and tasted of paprika... 1x sauce from the boss which was also tasty!!! Conclusion: You can eat here!!! Everyone is friendly There's room for improvement!! You get full!!

A little piece of Greece in the heart of Worms. We visited the Restaurant zum Dom for the first time on a recommendation and were completely surprised. We were served ouzo and delicious dishes accompanied by Greek music. Everything was delicious and absolutely reasonable in price. The owner was so warm and accommodating, we felt completely at home. Now that's what I call genuine hospitality. And at the end, the kitchen surprised us with a fantastic dessert. The visit was an experience for all of us, and we will be back again and again. Therefore, we give it a well-deserved 5 stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

What a warm welcome! Staying overnight in Worms and then eating here was truly wonderful. If anything was amiss, it was us, weary from the journey. The host went above and beyond; no, it wasn't refined, but simply honest, delicious food packaged with genuine hospitality. German with Greek influences. And vice versa. An ouzo and juice in shot glasses as a welcome. In between, juices in grappa glasses. And for dessert, they specially prepared a huge plate of ice cream, fresh fruit, cake, whipped cream, and chocolate sauce when we asked if they had two children's ice creams. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely go back. A well-deserved positive review! Delicious food. Lovely people!

They advertise German cuisine, but where in German cuisine do you get a welcome drink of ouzo (which is well-intentioned), while the menu offers skewers, lamb dishes, etc. I'm a bit confused by this. Our meat was very good and way too much. The fries were poor quality, and the salad... no... simply not good. Which is still very well-intentioned. We wanted to pay and "had" to wait because we were given a side order. Sorry, again... it was well-intentioned, but we didn't want dessert. We're not into sweets and we didn't have time. You have to at least ask beforehand if you want dessert. Well-intentioned, that's why it's not for everyone. We ate some out of courtesy. Dear owner, you don't need to justify yourself or complain about the review; it doesn't change anything. Thank you very much. All the best.

very nice place , and good food

Delicious food with super friendly and attentive service. The lamb platter was fantastic and tender, the skewers juicy and flavorful, and the bifteki simply delicious. The portions are even a bit too large, so even big eaters will be more than satisfied or have leftovers for the next day. The mixed appetizer platter is also highly recommended. The service was simply fantastic. Super friendly. Attentive. Always a smile on their faces. We sat in the small, extremely lovingly decorated outdoor corner. Small but nice.

The salad consists of a few lettuce leaves, a slice of cucumber, and a slice of tomato! It also comes with canned beans and carrot salad, and bottled dressing (from the supermarket). The steak resembles roast beef. The fries tasted good. You can eat it...but you don't have to.

We stopped in for dinner today at short notice. It was simply fantastic. The food was delicious. The service was top-notch. We haven't had anything like it in a long time. So if you're ever in Worms, definitely go there. If we come back, we'll definitely go there again. It actually deserves more than 5 stars.

We had dinner at the Zum Dom restaurant on April 25, 2025. We really enjoyed the visit. The friendly service, the courteous innkeeper and the delicious dinner convinced us and we can highly recommend the restaurant. We will definitely visit the restaurant again.

Yesterday, four of us (four girls) went there for dinner for the first time as part of a trip. It was pure coincidence that Google maps showed us the restaurant. So anyone who complains here deserves to be punished. Our service was great. We ordered quickly and the food came quickly. We enjoyed everything very much. And the price can't be beat. And then came the hammer, a really great dessert on the house. Great!!!! Conclusion As soon as we are back in Worms, we will be happy to come back.

Seabass that was very swampy, lik microwave was used or whatever. The salt cellar was not properly closed so too much salt on my fries. Staff did not take any action. Overall very disappointing and never again

Really recommended! My mother and I come from Upper Bavaria and only spent one night in Worms. After a stroll through the city, we wanted to have a little something to eat in the evening. We found exactly the right thing in the Zum Dom restaurant: the goulash soup was a poem - homemade, spicy and served nice and hot. The small starter plate was also tastefully prepared and completely sufficient. The friendly atmosphere was particularly nice - the boss and the service were extremely warm and attentive. You immediately feel welcome. We will look back very fondly on our visit to Worms and can highly recommend the restaurant! When we're in Worms again, we'll definitely be happy to come

We went here for dinner for the first time yesterday. The food was very good and tasted absolutely great. The chef's sauce was a dream. The portion "platter for 2 people" was very large, so take the rest with you and eat it 1 day later. The boss is a nice, entertaining person who also likes to take the time to chat. We'll be back.

Per: - Very friendly staff, especially the manager is so motivated by what he does that he captivates everyone around him. - Very large portions (so go there if you're very hungry) - In terms of taste, the dishes I've eaten there so far have all been rated above average to very good. - The atmosphere is very cozy and the music selection is very relaxing. Neutral: - Parking would only be possible in the nearby parking garages. Cons: No points to complain about from my side. Conclusion: The Restaurant zum Dom is a hidden gem in downtown Worms. And for me personally, one of the best German-Greek restaurants I've been lucky enough to eat in so far in my life.

Today on Boxing Day we were able to enjoy the ambience, the food and above all the hospitality. Service was super attentive and accommodating, friendly and at the same time with a relaxed attitude on the tongue - it was really very pleasant and the food was tip top! The menu was a bit "slimmed down" due to the holidays, but this was kindly pointed out on the menu so that quality and no long waiting times can be guaranteed. We thought that definitely didn't detract from the whole thing. Many thanks to the team - the ouzo was tasty, the little one was happy about St. Nicholas and we are now enjoying the wine present on the couch! We'd love to come back.

We had made a reservation for a family dinner and were given a very friendly welcome by the boss and staff. Orders were taken quickly and drinks and food arrived quickly. The quality and taste of the food was very good. The portion sizes were really big. The boss was up for fun and funny sayings and also bought dessert. The ambience is quite suitable for this restaurant. The service was really very friendly, even if there was sometimes confusion due to different operations. The food itself is more than okay for these prices. But also definitely expandable.

It took 15 minutes until we could order drinks. However, it took another 20 minutes for the drinks to arrive. First we were given the wrong menu. When the right one came, I immediately ordered the next drink because the first one was already empty due to the long waiting time. But this couldn't be brought straight away because the barrel was empty and the innkeeper had to get a new one first. By the way, the second beer came after I had finished eating. The ice cream we ordered for dessert didn't come at all, it was forgotten. The food was too salty and the lamb chop is actually just bones. No recommendations for this restaurant.

As already described, the service is actually special and also a good reason to try out the relatively new restaurant. The owner once again emphasizes the special feature of Greek hospitality, you almost feel like you are in his living room. We had a good bifteki, the "best" of lamb with juicy meat and a good beef skewer. There is also a special senior card with a reduced amount. All side dishes are freely selectable, which is also mentioned on the menu. All meat was extremely well fried, juicy and tasty. There is a certain amount of deduction for the amount of fat/oil on the plate from the roast, which is not unusual for such a meal. You should also know that the mention "garlic" in the menu means that the meat is actually topped with freshly pressed garlic, which accordingly influences the taste. You should say so when ordering if you don't like it that much. The side dishes were satisfying as the rice was very soft and the fries were quite greasy. That's basically 5 stars for the juicy meat with a little deduction for the fat and garlic filling, 3 stars for the side dishes and more than 5 stars for the friendly service. Overall, there is room for improvement, but the food and service were such that everyone can form their own opinion.

On the way from Karlsruhe to NL, the A61 was closed and I accidentally passed through Worms and decided to eat in this restaurant. What a nice atmosphere and great welcome by the owner. I ordered the bifteki and it was simply amazing. I got to talking to the owner who told me that the restaurant had only been open for 1 year. He deliberately does not advertise because he wants his regulars to come because of the quality and the atmosphere. If you are in the area and would like a Greek dish with flavor, or a German dish with Greek influence, just pass by. You won't be disappointed.

The DOM was our regular destination and the food on the menu promised a lot. We had barely sat at the table when the boss came and asked about the food. Drinks were of course also included, even a round of ouzo beforehand. The atmosphere was absolutely fantastic, even when a glass of wine flowed over my lap. Extra starter requests...everything was fulfilled excellently by the innkeeper, a dessert platter at the house's expense completed the picture. We will give it 5 stars.
