Wir waren für eine Verlobungsfeier dort und alles war sehr schön. Die Bemühungen der Kellnerinnen waren bewundernswert. Es war eine sehr schöne Nacht und Organisation. Das Essen war sehr sehr gut, die Bedienung super freundlich und liebenswert! Die Atmosphäre war durchaus gemütlich, Kunstblumen im Fenster waren tatsächlich das einzige, was mir nicht so gefallen hat.Geschmacksache. Aber das Essen ist ja auch wichtiger und das war auf jeden Fall frisch zubereitet!

We have always been very satisfied with the food in your restaurant. After several visits we wanted to reserve a table for 8 people. Unfortunately, we discovered that individual requests were not taken into account when making the reservation. The reservation would only be in about 45 days, but no additional service is offered. No choice of table position is possible nor can a high chair be guaranteed, although your Google page states otherwise. We have never experienced this situation in any other restaurant, which we find very unfortunate. To clarify, our original review was positive as the food remains excellent and worthy of 5 stars. However, in other restaurants - whether in the star kitchen or not - it was always possible to choose the table position and take wishes into account. Therefore, our rating in the areas of service and ambience drops. We recommend taking this criticism seriously and considering whether it would make sense to adapt the service to other restaurants that already successfully offer such flexibility. It gives the impression of little flexibility, which can cause undesirable discomfort for guests in the catering industry. As a customer, you want to know in advance what conditions you can offer your invited guests. If you can't fulfill this, you say clearly that you can't accept the reservation instead of discussing it unfriendly and always giving the same excuses. Your answer reflects your behavior, as you directly perceive criticism/evaluation of your reservation management as an attack. Google reviews don't just exist for 5 stars. Very tasty food, very friendly staff. Clean and tidy. Been there several times, both eating in-house and taking food away. Both possible and both very good.

We visited the Engels restaurant in the castle again on Tuesday and were very impressed again. The new menu impresses with great dishes, such as the “Caught zander on black pudding risotto” and “Two kinds of deer with pointed cabbage and homemade Schupfnudeln” that we selected. First of all, we decided on Vitello Tonnato, which was served once as a tartare and once in one piece, and a wild garlic tea with dim sum. Everything is super delicious. We were treated to fine wines by the super friendly service. The ambience with velvet sofas is cozy and homely. We also think it's particularly great that increased emphasis is placed on animal welfare, sustainability and regionality when selecting products. Commendable and worth supporting!
