An absolute insider tip! We came here today on a recommendation and were absolutely thrilled. From the appetizer to the main course and the accompanying wine, everything was perfect! We especially appreciated being able to try dishes beyond the usual fare, dishes we hadn't encountered before and probably never would have discovered without Vivo (the cherry kebab is highly recommended). But even those less inclined to experiment will find plenty to enjoy on the menu. The service is incredibly attentive and genuinely friendly. We particularly appreciated the little explanations and fun facts we received with each dish, and we were incredibly lucky that they also happened to have local wine available. A truly wonderful evening, and we highly recommend it!

Together with 14 people, I dined at Vivo's for a birthday celebration. We all agreed that we hadn't eaten so well in a long time. Anyone looking to experience oriental culinary delights will find themselves in the right place. The dishes we pre-ordered arrived very quickly, and we were overwhelmed by the variety of appetizers and main courses. The quality, freshness, and selection of the food were outstanding. The aroma and flavor of oriental spices were wonderful. A true culinary delight. The service was very friendly and attentive, but not intrusive. The value for money was also excellent. The portions were more than ample. Vivo's is a fantastic addition to Recklinghausen's restaurant scene and definitely deserves a visit.

A very nice Syrian restaurant with a wide selection of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. The incredibly friendly service is exceptional; you immediately feel at home. The staff recommend and describe everything very well and individually. The prices are very reasonable and invite you to return.

First of all, unfortunately, there are only two stars. We traveled 40 km specifically to have lunch. Upon arrival, we saw two large signs at the entrance. "Private party." Unfortunately, there's nothing about this on the website or on Google's opening hours. What a shame.

We tried ViVo's out of curiosity. I have to say, we weren't disappointed. The menu offered a wide selection, the service was very friendly and helpful without being intrusive, and the food was truly delicious. This was my first encounter with traditional Syrian cuisine, and I have to say, it definitely won't be my last. The restaurant has both an indoor and an outdoor area, which is beautifully designed. In total, we paid around €75 for two people for an appetizer, main course, dessert, and drinks, which is definitely a fair price. This won't be our last visit.

We stopped by today by chance; we were looking for a place to have a delicious lunch. I can only recommend it; it was delicious and the service was very friendly. We haven't had such a delicious meal in a long time! It certainly won't be the last.

An insider tip in a first-class atmosphere ☝️. I was there yesterday with my girlfriend. I was on crutches. We walked into the restaurant and were immediately warmly welcomed. The restaurant is cozy and lovingly decorated. I didn't know they had an outdoor area. It's simply wonderful 😍. It must be simply glorious there at dusk. Everything is lovingly planted and there are small solar lights. The menu was explained with great attention to detail. There was also a good selection for vegetarians. Our food was excellent...but the portions were much too large. But it tasted so good, I ate every last crumb 😋. I tried Mattcha for the first time...I never would have thought it would taste so delicious 😱. Amazing ☝️. So, a huge compliment to the family...you run your restaurant with heart and soul and LOVE for the guests...you can taste and feel it. Thank you for the lovely evening 🙏. Continued success 🍀. You certainly deserve it 🫵.

We were also particularly touched by the warm service – attentive, genuinely friendly, and with a smile that made the evening even more enjoyable. They were especially friendly to the children! I celebrated my birthday at Vivo's yesterday, and it was truly a dream. I couldn't have imagined a better place for my birthday. The food was 10/10, the portions were well-priced, and I especially loved the matcha. I've never been a big matcha fan, but the matcha at Vivo's Restaurant tastes SOOOOO delicious, simply wonderful. You can tell how much effort the staff puts in and how much heart and soul goes into the business. This is now our favorite restaurant. Everything was simply 100/10❤️❤️

I came across this restaurant by chance via Google Maps. The food is absolutely amazing! This is the second time I've been there. The starter with the bread and the sauce made from walnuts, etc. is to eat. The yogurt soup (No. 12) is the tastiest soup ever and this first dessert (angel hair, cream, ice cream, pistachios) is world class.

Never had such good Syrian cuisine before, so it's really a go-to restaurant when you're in Recklinghausen 🙏

I'm just thrilled. The service was so good and the employees were very friendly and the food came quite quickly. I initially thought it wouldn't taste as good since it was ready so quickly, but it was one of the best grilled dishes I've ever had! The boss kept coming to the customers' tables and asking if everything was OK and also chatted a bit. I wholeheartedly recommend this store. I was really excited and pleased to see that there are still people who do their job with heart.

I was there a while ago and still think about going there again almost every week. The food is just something different and not absolutely standard, that's what makes it so great! The food is delicious, the service is incredibly friendly and quick, the atmosphere is warm and inviting and, above all, the arrangement of the tables means it's not so loud that you practically have to shout at each other. I thought it was really great!

The main courses, such as the tender lamb with Middle Eastern spices, are a real culinary delight. The vegetarian options are also creative and full of flavors. The service is attentive and warm. The staff takes the time to explain the dishes and ensures that you feel completely at home. Finally, I recommend the traditional mocha with cardamom – a perfect end to a successful evening. ViVo’s is more than just a restaurant; it is a place where you can experience Syrian culture and hospitality up close. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

As guests from Croatia, we are absolutely delighted with the food. It's our first time in a Syrian restaurant because we don't have that type of restaurant at home. The food is tasty and light. The portions are big, and the wine is correct. Pleasant experience.

We were the only guests. The atmosphere is a bit sterile, but clean and inviting. The food tasted quite good, but it was obviously pre-cooked and was simply thrown out of the storage box onto the plate and served like that - embarrassing. All in all, the price-performance ratio was not right. The menu on the homepage is no longer up to date.
