Rarely have we seen such unmotivated innkeepers as here. Unfortunately the pizza wasn't an experience either, I have no idea which corner of Italy the recipe comes from, but it just filled me up. It's a shame actually, as it looks like a nice restaurant.
Very tasty Sri Lankan cuisine! Deliciously fluffy, well-seasoned rice with tender, slightly spicy chicken curry, delicious mango salad, spicy potato wedges, lentil soup with coconut milk, freshly prepared jackfruit, crispy papadam, to name just a few delicacies. Plus a cold Schumacher Alt or delicious rhubarb spritzer. The whole thing is located in a cozy allotment garden, you can sit in the beer garden in the countryside and there is also a playground. Mo serves us in a friendly and relaxed manner, talks about Sri Lanka and always brings samples from the kitchen! A real insider tip!!
Yesterday we ate iftar in this restaurant for the first and last time.
The pictures you see on the website don't even correspond to 10% of what was promised in reality. On the website you saw beautiful tables with tablecloths but there were cutlery with a napkin and a glass, tables were unstable so it just wobbled back and forth, you had to put your foot on the table base to be able to eat.
Huge failure 😡.
You had to remove dirty dishes from the tables yourself and there was a bottle of still water and supposedly freshly squeezed juices, which were diluted with a lot of water.
The hammer was that 40 euros per person was charged.
The first time everything was fine. This time the pizzas were burnt/overbaked/dry. The edge was far too wide and bone dry. The 2 for 1 offer is very cheap. But if the pizzas don't taste good and the majority of them can't be eaten, I don't have any benefit.
Your best stop on a shopping tour in the Alle in Düsseldorf. I had Filet Daschash- Hot Grilled Chicken, with flat brea, fresh cheese, and Rice with Salad.
Unbelievable!! The visit was a disaster. Karl's food came from buckets and was prepared in a dirty kitchen. Not to mention the staff. Had to wait a long time for our order and the waitresses were very rude!!!! It's a shame actually, nice atmosphere
I do NOT recommend it:
We had dinner during Prowein. The menu was only a very reduced “Prowein menu”. The food was delicious, but the portions were very small.
They didn't have a wine list and said we should look in the wine cabinet. Then they suggested three white wines to us.
We decided on two wines by the glass. Our negative surprise: The amount of wine per glass was 0.1L. They charged us between €9 and €12 per glass
They brought us still water in a jug (from the tap) and charged €4 per person for it.
They really screwed us.
Great informal restaurant (and event location, but we were only there for a quick bite on a motorbike trip). Down-to-earth cuisine, DLRG club prices (cheap), friendly service, relaxed on the long balcony facing the Rhine :)
Very nicely designed restaurant where you are warmly welcomed and looked after by great service. The sharing concept that is served in the evening is great. Extremely tasty dishes that the chef sends out of the kitchen in a perfectly coordinated order so that no course overpowers the other. There is also a fine selection of wines. A recommendation for a lovely evening! Thank you ❤️
The lady with the gray hair genuinely didn’t care to take my order. She also told me she doesn’t speak english. I had to order oat milk with my cappucino. She was looking at me didn’t understand, than she showed me something: hafer milch. How would I know what is that if I don’t speak german?? The guy next to her didn’t help altough he spoke english to other customers. And look at that “foam” on my cappucino. I can make better any time.
