Average taste, nothing special. Chip shop, at least when it comes to schnitzels. Above all, extremely small portions in contrast to other restaurants. A man who is very hungry will not be satisfied without an appetizer. Viennese schnitzel from the deep fryer with 2 tablespoons of fries. Thinly beaten to the max! You order some bread for 6 people (€8.50) and, without asking, you also receive 4 small bowls of herb butter for €2.90 each. That makes a total of over €20 with herb butter and bread!
We are not talking about country bread from the baker we trust, but just simple baguette bread.
I was a guest here three times in total.
Last time (birthday dinner for 8 people), the food (grill plate) for two of my guests was cold.
The food was warmed at our request and tasted accordingly. The fries were not very edible afterwards. Very unfortunate.
The waitress behaved extremely distantly after this request to heat the dish.
The schnitzels received a lot of praise.
I'm having a hard time making a recommendation, especially since one of my guests is a real fan of this restaurant.
Summary: a lovely evening, in a nice atmosphere with delicious food...
in detail: we were in the restaurant an hour before closing time on a Tuesday evening, we had already clarified in advance that we could bring our medium-sized dog with us, a table reservation was not necessary due to the number of guests in the off-season.
As soon as we entered the restaurant we were greeted warmly and had a free choice of seats in the cozy dining room
We ordered grilled plates and Muckalica, each main course was preceded by a side salad plate from the lavish salad buffet, there were four dressings to choose from, the vinegar and oil marinade of our choice was delicious, and the salad was crisp and fresh despite our late visit
The food was served very friendly and quickly, both dishes were extremely tasty, the question was whether everything was ok. Therefore, it could only be answered with “yes, very good”.
Payment was possible in cash or by card,
Monschau has many restaurants to offer, but Haus Flora is definitely worth a visit
Staying in Weeze on a Monday night for an early flight in the morning and hoped to find a nice restaurant to have or last German meal before heading home. Weeze was a lovely wee place but hardly anything was open! We managed to get an inside table, would have preferred outside but the server said not available despite a table being empty outside, just needed clearing! Food and service were great, the price was really reasonable for the lovely meal we had. I would recommend this restaurant but try and reserve a table in advance as it was very busy
Thank you, Laura at Hotel Lucke! We were super happy to receive your email stating that you had a room for us after all. When we arrived we were greeted by a very nice gentleman who checked us in. The breakfast was amazing! The hotel is very convenient when visiting our friend in the city. Thanks for taking care of us!
Very nice outdoor area, even if it is located in the parking lot, you quickly forget about it on the terrace. Good selection of food and drinks, including vegetarian dishes. There is a small selection of dishes especially for “the little guests”, but other dishes (for us spaghetti Napoli) can also be prepared as children’s portions upon request. Our waiter (Said) was super friendly, quick and conscientious and, above all, very attentive to our children. The food was very tasty, both main course and dessert. The cake we ordered was obviously not made in-house, but was still very tasty and visually very appealing. We'd love to come back!
I've been coming here for years and have never been disappointed.
The food is very tasty, sufficient and reasonably priced.
Keep it up... greetings from a loyal guest
