Not very big, but very cozy environment. It was very busy when we were there. However, the servant had an eye for everyone and reassured them. The menu is of high quality. Everything freshly prepared. Price-quality ratio is very attractive. Definitely recommended 👍

A classic German restaurant... Definitely the right place to have a beer or two and certainly a shot of schnapps in the evening in company. I felt like I was transported straight back to the late 90s. However, smoking is no longer permitted in the entire guest room. Of course, anyone who likes to smoke a cigarette with their beer will still be lucky. The guest room is divided into two halves and in the separate rear part you can still enjoy a cigarette with a beer. At the time of my visit, in addition to the normal menu, there was also, according to the notice, a choice of roast beef with sauerkraut and potatoes, which I then decided on. This was a surprisingly good choice. My conclusion is, absolutely down-to-earth food in a somewhat strange atmosphere... And based on the general offering, it's definitely the best choice if you're looking for a decent lunch in Hessisch Oldendorf on a Saturday afternoon in winter.

Only open by appointment, but you can enjoy the delicious cakes and tarts in the Schillathöhle café on Saturdays and Sundays.

We were there for the Christmas buffet. Even the starter soups were excellent. The goose was some of the best I've ever eaten. The selection was more than adequate and the service was quick. Gladly again.

You are really welcome here... As long as you have time and sit quietly and patiently in one place. Drop by spontaneously for pizza day??? Ridiculous. Ordering by phone on Thursdays isn't possible at all... the phone is ignored. Comment from the staff: "Shit out of house pizza". Now a euro more expensive for so much (im)politeness. I have never experienced a catering establishment that is so grateful for no guests...
