Only open by appointment, but you can enjoy the delicious cakes and tarts in the Schillathöhle café on Saturdays and Sundays.

Friendly people who opened their doors outside of opening hours on Sunday morning to make us a coffee. Later we found out they charged €4 per coffee which even for Berlin is extremely high for a normal black coffee. We only could pay cash, but we didn’t have anything on us other then a bank card. They trusted us that we payed afterwards via bank transfer. So we did. In summary: if you’re only here for coffee, I would not go here for the over priced experience. Maybe next time we try their pie 🥧

The cake is absolutely delicious, especially after a hike through the Höllenbach valley.

Unfortunately, this restaurant wasn't our cup of tea! The interior is more like a clubhouse. Which in itself isn't a bad thing if it were designed around a certain concept. The prices, such as €4 for a latte, are more like those at a motorway service station, but they're definitely not suitable for me. They also offer canned game specialties, which I haven't tried. I'm appalled by the condition of the restrooms! Open the door and immediately encounter a pungent odor from a toilet truck! I don't know if a tiled urinal trough is still appropriate for a restaurant these days! The location near the Schillat Cave parking lot, with its numerous destinations for hiking trips and long walks, certainly suggests potential! I would be very pleased if the owners would view this criticism as an opportunity! This beautiful area of ​​the Weserbergland is and will remain a popular destination for us. It would be great to see some modernizations and changes to this restaurant that would encourage us to give it another chance.

Wir haben hier eine 70er Jahre Geburtstagsparty gefeiert. Es war super toll. Die Bewirtung, das Essen, die Musik und das Flair dieser Gaststätte kann man nur empfehlen 👍

Sehr schönes Cafe, alt zwar, aber der Kuchen schmeckt und es gibt viel Wildschwein,frisch und in Konserven. Die Toiletten stammen aus den 70 ziger Jahren aber sind sehr sauber.

Das Essen war lecker und reichhaltig. Die Bedienungen waren nett und freundlich. An sich sehr schön nur sind die Parkplätze etwas wenig und teils auch unpraktisch da die ersten zu geparkt werden. Die Inneneinrichtung ist zwar sauber und heile aber vermutlich noch aus den 70-80iger Jahren.

Am Wochenende gibts lecker selbstgemachten Kuchen - bei schönem Wetter auch auf der Terasse. Einmal pro Monat wird ein leckeres Frühstücksbuffet angeboten. Zum Mitnehmen auf Anfrage Wildspezialitäten, Bratwurst und Dosenwurst vom regionalen Wild. Sehr sehenswert sind die Kreidegemälde im großen Saal - für den einen gibt es Renovierungsbedarf - für mich eher Nostalgie pur!

Ganz tolles Frühstücksbuffet. Die Räumlichkeiten könnten aber eine Renovierung vertragen.
