Today we were out and about in this tranquil little town. By evening, we were feeling a little peckish. We had a choice between döner, kebab, and German cuisine. As you can easily see, we chose this restaurant. A wise decision. The restaurant itself has a 70s feel, so it has a rustic atmosphere. The fairy godmother of the house was immediately on hand. Our dishes took a little longer to prepare, but the wait was worth it. Good German cuisine. Decent portions, tender meat, fresh vegetables, very friendly service, and fair prices. We were completely satisfied. Thank you for your hospitality.

We were cycling through the area (Weser Cycle Path), booked a hotel room just around the corner for one night, and were looking for something to eat and drink in the evening. And we found exactly what we were looking for here. Good food, a friendly owner, friendly staff, and above all, lovely regulars with whom we sat outside until late, drinking and chatting. A great place for a relaxing evening.

I didn't go there for dinner. But I heard from locals that it's pretty good. I was only there for an event. It was well attended, but it got pretty crowded. I'll stop by again next time I'm in the area, for dinner, of course.

A classic German restaurant... Surely the perfect place to enjoy a beer or two in the company of others, and probably the occasional schnapps. I felt like I was transported back to the late 90s. However, smoking is no longer permitted in the entire dining room. Those who enjoy a cigarette with their beer are still welcome, though. The dining room is divided into two halves, and in the separate back area, enjoying a cigarette with their beer is still permitted. At the time of my visit, in addition to the regular menu, the notice board also listed roast pork with sauerkraut and potatoes, which I opted for. This was a surprisingly good choice. My conclusion: absolutely down-to-earth food in a somewhat strange atmosphere... And, based on the general offerings, this is definitely the best choice if you're looking for a decent lunch on a Saturday afternoon in Hessisch Oldendorf in winter.

Absolutely delicious food, pizza will be tried next time, it should be awesome too. But what we had was also “awesome”!! Homemade delicacies as people need them! Nicest landlady in the world, real passion in her blood! We really enjoy coming to KOCH ALI and the nice landlady! Stay as you are !

You don't suspect it at first, because when you come in you feel very reminiscent of "the little pub on our street" (which also has its special charm, as there is hardly anything like that anymore)....But then: surprise ! The menu is clear, but additional, changing dishes are offered. The food is delicious, fresh and lovingly prepared by the (head) chef. The boss, who serves herself, is also extremely courteous and friendly. We would be happy to come back and will definitely recommend it to our friends.

At an event with 30 people, unfortunately a lot went wrong. Roast was partly dry. The quantities weren't right at all. When I asked if there was anything else to eat, the answer was, no, that was enough. Now that's not very professional. Sauces were very, very limited. Many people may have received a small piece of meat, a potato and 2-3 croquettes at the home-style buffet. That's not possible and it's part of the basics of a restaurateur to plan the amount of food correctly at a price of 19 euros per person. Taste was okay, except for the partially dry meat. But you won't get very far in this business with something like that. The upcoming regulars' meetings, if anyone is planning there, will definitely not be there. If I were him, I would have talked to people directly that evening. There was also smoking inside. In any case, it was never worth 19 euros. Then it would have had to be the finest Iberico with organic vegetables and saffron sauces. Given the small quantities that most people received, that would have been at least worth the price. Sorry, the 2 stars only because the company itself was good among us. It's a shame, but some others have been able to do it much better so far. And complaining about the rating, so that it is being removed for the time being, is also wrong.

The local insider tip Run by the friendly host “Ali” from Persia for 20 years. A quaint German pub with lots of charm and honest food. The goulash, the herring, the currywurst – exactly how you want it. Straightforward and very tasty. Almost like nuts. Please don't change the atmosphere under any circumstances, it reminded us of our youth in the 80s, it's nice that something like this still exists, a little journey back in time. Thank you Ali, we'll be happy to come back to you on holiday next year... P.S. On Saturdays you can definitely dance in the evening... we'll try it out next year, we're looking forward to it.

The buffet was arranged and hardly anyone was even remotely full. It would have been cheaper and more according to the card.

Ausgangspunkt: Gruppe 20-30 Personen (Erwachsene), Festpreis Hausmanns Buffet. Die Bedienung war zu Beginn selbst mit den Getränken überfordert und während des Essens mit dem Nachfüllen. Und da sind wir auch schon beim springenden Punkt für diese Bewertung... Leider ist keiner satt geworden (wozu unser Organisator und auch die Bedienung nichts für können). Aber selbstverständlich sagen "ja das war es jetzt" ist schwer zu verstehen wenn man noch nicht viel auf dem Teller hatte. Vielleicht wäre es für zukünftige Veranstaltungen ratsam über die Menge mit dem Kunden zu sprechen. Die Toiletten waren zudem leider ziemlich dreckig. Ich hoffe in der Küche setzt sich das Hygienekonzept nicht fort.... Es tut mir wirklich leid für die Bewertung, aber das waren echt Kinderportionen. Geschmacklich OK. Das Fleisch sehr trocken. Preis- zu Leistungsverhältnis somit leider unausgeglichen.

Sehr leckeres Essen in einem schönen kleinen Restaurant.

Das Essen war super, nur das Ambiente stammt wohl noch aus den 60 Jahren. Wir wurden sehr net bedient.

Ältere Einrichtung aber das Essen sehr lecker.

Wir haben auf einer Radtour zum Essen gehalten. Und es war lecker und ausreichend. Selbst meinem Schwiegervater hat es gefallen, der sonst sehr nörgelig ist ;-) . Wir haben draussen gesessen.

Het eten is van goede kwaliteit. Echter het restaurant ruikt erg naar rook, voor anti rokers is het niet echt een plek om lekker te eten, voor de rest is alles prima.

Zunächst skeptisch, auf der Suche nach einem Restaurant, dass KEINE Dönerbude ist, betraten wir dieses Lokal und wurden sofort freundlich sowohl von Wirtin als auch von den Gästen begrüßt. Eine absolut urige Gaststätte und Kneipe. Die selbstgemachten Chicken-Cheeseburger waren saftig und würzig, die Pommes der Hammer und der dazu gereichte Salat mit gefüllten Oliven, gekochtem Ei und hausgemachtem Dressing einfach nur lecker. Das frisch gezapfte Bier dazu süffig. Wenn wir wieder in der Nähe sind, kommen wir ganz bestimmt wieder!!!

Ambiente ist noch ausbaufähig, Pizza sehr lecker, nur die ständig halboffene Tür zum Raucherbereich nervt, deshalb nur 4 Sternchen.

Bin jetzt schon das fünfte mal Gast im "Stadt Kassel" und bin sehr zufrieden, Essen ist sehr gut,die Bedienung ist äußerst freundlich. Die Preise sind angemessen....ich fühle mich sehr wohl dort. Grüße aus dem hohen Norden, bis zum nächsten mal.

Kaltes Bier und leckeres Essen.

Das Essen ist einfach super! Alles frisch, riesige Portionen und man merkt einfach, dass es immer wieder frisch und mit viel Mühe zubereitet wird. Der Koch wurde nicht nur von unserem Tisch gelobt. Nicht nur die Bedienung war sehr nett, sondern auch die Leute, die man dort am Abend kennengelernt hat (für dienjenigen, die etwas länger bleiben wollen). Top!!!!
