Four of us came here for dinner. Very extensive wine list. Menu rather meat-heavy. Nice service. Something on the menu for every taste. It's a shame that my lamb steak arrived completely cooked and therefore rather "tough". Dessert: classic vanilla ice cream. Winery with attached country house kitchen, with the flair of the 60s/70s. Rustic. Nice view over the Rhine, as it is located on a hill.

The Cafe Del Sol was my first stop when I moved to Wiesbaden. I have spent many lunches there and really like the place at the Kochbrunnen. Unfortunately, I noticed that the service has gotten steadily worse over the last two years, which means that the excuse “current wave of illness” is not entirely understandable to me. Unfortunately, the final trigger for the bad rating was today. When we arrived at the café at 1:20 p.m. we waited almost 10 minutes (which is still okay) for someone to come. We then waited another 10 minutes until our tickets arrived and another 10 minutes until we could order. The table next to us, which had come with us, had already left. When we had our drinks after more than 30 minutes, it was okay at first. But then no one came to our table for another 40 minutes. When I finally went in because we wanted to pay, I was ignored for 5 minutes and then sent back to the seat with the words “someone is coming immediately”. After another few minutes we had to speak to one of the ladies again that we wanted to pay. The waitress to whom we then paid came out with the very unfriendly words “and someone here wanted to pay” and her hands went up at 4 tables in parallel. Dear Del Sol team, it's really a shame, I enjoyed staying with you, but unfortunately the development of the service over the last two years has been very poor, and you are no longer the first choice when I want to go out for a relaxed drink.

We went to this restaurant and reserved a table in advance. Unfortunately, we only discovered on site that a special Valentine's Day menu was being served that evening, which was significantly more expensive than the regular menu. There was no information about this on the reservation page - you could only have read it under "News / Events", but that wasn't obvious. That was annoying because we were prepared for the usual selection and the "gourmet block" and had no option to order anything else. Despite the unexpectedly high price, the food was good and of high quality. However, there is still a bad aftertaste because we would have liked clearer communication in advance. A note directly when making the reservation or an email with this information would have been helpful. Conclusion: Good food, but there is definitely room for improvement when it comes to transparency at special events. In addition, the food was far too little in relation to the price.

Unfortunately the food wasn't good. Ready-made pizza dough has been used for several years now. The noodles were also an absolute Rhine fall. Never again.

We didn't eat anything here, just went to the toilet.

The food is quite good for the price and a lot of this only applies to the main course. All other dishes are usually not good or inedible.

Heute stehe ich doch tatsächlich vor der geschlossenen Eingangstür. Der schriftliche Hinweis ''wg. anstehender Renovierungsarbeiten geschlossen'' ist unübersehbar. Na toll denke ich! Goggle zeigt mir - grün hinterlegt - heute geöffnet. Ich rufe unter der Geschäftsnummer an, und treffe auf den AB, wo mir eine Frauenstimme viel erzählt, nur nichts über die Ladenschließung. Die hauseigene Webseite verschweigt dies ebenso. Ein kommunikativer Umgang mit Kunden/Gästen würde man sich von der Ladenchefin Frau Kreuter sehr wünschen. Dieser ist ihr scheinbar abhanden gekommen. Schade! Hier ist der Kunde jedenfalls kein König mehr.

I ordered 3 boxes through TooGoodToGo for charity. When I got there, they had no idea what I was talking about. What’s worse, they were very unapologetic about it. I got my money back in the end.

The undercooked pork/chicken gave me and a couple of people I know pretty horrible food poisoning.
