We were there as a group for after-work fun. Unfortunately, there was no dance floor inside :-) The restaurant has a prime location. Unfortunately, they aren't able to mix a Cuba Libre. It's not on the menu, and according to the waitress, they can't serve anything outside of the menu, even though all the ingredients are available. Germany is a service desert. I only had a small bite to eat, so I'll refrain from giving a review.

Went for afternoon drinks to this place. Very good service and reasonable prices in a quiet park / terrace area. Did not have any food.

The service is poor and unfriendly; unfortunately, I haven't experienced this in other cafés/restaurants. Our waitress couldn't smile; short, concise answers had to suffice. All the tables looked very sticky, including ours. We had to wait quite a while for our three drinks. The waitress didn't ask if we wanted anything else, she just cleared away the empty glasses. I mean, sure, I can say something, but hey... you want to make money 🤷. The other tables were also full of other guests' empty dishes for a long time.

Unfortunately, I have to give a very disappointing review of my visit. From beginning to end, my experience was anything but satisfactory. First of all, the staff was very unfriendly. The bread arrived about 20 minutes after our meal was served, when we had already finished eating. After we told him that we didn't need any more bread, the server was so rude and said he couldn't change it or take it back because of the rules here. We spent several minutes explaining to the server that this was unacceptable and asked for clarification from the owner, but our request was rejected because the manager didn't have time. When our food arrived, it was cold. One dish was brought back to the kitchen because she was so confused and didn't remember what she was serving. The wine spritzer is especially not recommended. It was served in a 0.2 ml white wine glass, which clearly only contained 80 percent water and a maximum of 20 percent wine. I've never had a wine spritzer served like that before. Overall, we were very dissatisfied. Unfortunately, we paid so much money and didn't have a pleasant evening. It was fraught with frustration. The service left a lot to be desired and demonstrated a clear lack of professionalism. The tables were dirty, the air was unpleasantly stuffy; it may be because there's no ventilation. It was far from what you'd expect from a restaurant in this price range. Overall, our visit disappointed all expectations. I won't recommend it.

A wonderful visit to Café del Sol in Wiesbaden! We made a reservation for brunch and were greeted with a smile on the phone. The chef gave us a warm welcome, and our requests were promptly fulfilled. We would especially like to mention our friendly waitress, Burchin, who made our stay even more pleasant with her warm manner and attentiveness. The brunch was plentiful and delicious, but Burchin's service was simply perfect. We felt completely at home and are already looking forward to returning!

We went there today for Mother's Day brunch. First, we had to wait a while until we were shown to our reserved table. That was acceptable. We had to wait over an hour for drinks, despite repeated reminders. The food, especially the fresh fruit and salmon, ran out pretty quickly. We repeatedly had to wait longer for clean plates and serving dishes. The line at the buffet was extremely long in places. Overall, the experience was very unsatisfactory, and one got the impression that the restaurant's only concern was to get as many people as possible in the restaurant, which meant completely overburdening the staff. Maximizing profits shouldn't be everything. We've been there for brunch with our family (about 20 people) in the past several times, and were usually relatively satisfied. Even though we only had to pay for 7 out of 8 meals as a small apology, that doesn't make up for the negative experience. We'll now look for something else.

We had a nice little chat with Laura today while passing through. We actually just wanted to have a quick breakfast, but unfortunately, that wasn't possible because they had the breakfast buffet today—we weren't that hungry. However, she recommended a delicious selection of cakes and desserts. The Belgian waffle is delicious. We'll definitely come back next time we're in the area. We were at Café del Sol in Wiesbaden on Mother's Day (Sunday). The restaurant was completely full, which is completely understandable on such a special day. Of course, we had to wait a little longer than usual at the buffet and in general, but that was completely fine. We'd especially like to mention the waitress/shift manager/boss Laura (we're not sure what her title is): super friendly, attentive, and very warm. Thanks to her, we felt completely at home. We'll definitely be back! Highly recommended.

I sat outside for over 10 minutes and no waiter came. When I went inside, I was told to wait outside and someone would come right away. Another 5 minutes later, there was no waiter, so I left. Disrespectful.

My visit to Café del Sol in Wiesbaden was an all-round great experience! As soon as we arrived we were warmly welcomed personally by the manager. A really special and professional service that immediately created a pleasant atmosphere. The reservation worked perfectly, everything was well prepared. The ambience in the café is extremely modern, cozy and with a touch of holiday feeling. I was particularly impressed by the Pinsa Amore, which was incredibly tasty, fresh and prepared with lots of flavor. You can immediately tell that quality is being worked on here. The service was also very friendly and attentive. Overall, a visit that was completely convincing. I will definitely come back and can only recommend Café del Sol Wiesbaden!

The café has a great location at the Kochbrunnen. We were outside in the launch area. Unfortunately everything was very dirty. The launch furniture was littered with rubbish everywhere - everywhere - one after the other. The ashtrays at several tables in this area were full. Even outside the café, the path to the meadow was littered with papers and rubbish. The waitress walked past us several times without paying any attention to us. We had to ask if we could order something.

The food also came relatively quickly, so we wanted to tick off the longer waiting time as an "exception". When we wanted to pay it became really difficult. As written, we met during her lunch break, my colleague had to go back to the office for an appointment and time was running out. Several attempts to draw the waitress's attention to us failed - even when she was at the next table. There was only one reaction - "Colleague is coming soon". There were actually a lot of waitresses walking around, but apparently not everyone was allowed to collect and no one felt responsible for us. Eye contact was avoided and polite requests for the bill were ignored. My colleague then left and I stayed because I had the rest of the day free. By then we had tried to pay together for about 30 minutes. To cut a long story short, my colleague was gone and I sat in the sun for another 25 minutes. Of course without any drink, because mine was long gone. When someone finally came to the cashier, I spoke up about it, also pointing out that many people would like to spend their lunch break there, but that these long waiting times would simply be a no-go. I was given the advice that you should just make yourself noticed. Who is in the wrong film? We had tried this countless times, even a personal approach to the waitress when my colleague told her while going to the toilet that we wanted to pay didn't speed things up. As a guest who is not a regular (and based on your experience, you won't be), you don't really feel welcome or cared for. It was my second attempt, and unfortunately I had already had these experiences on my first visit, but I thought I was just unlucky. In my opinion, the problem is that no waitress looks after fixed tables, but - my impression is - everyone looks after all the tables. It's a shame, but a nice atmosphere alone isn't enough. Gastronomy depends not only on a good chef but also on service. And that's where Café de Sol fell through for me.

If you like dirty toilets and a mediocre atmosphere, this is the place for you. For everyone else: it's better to give it a wide berth.

I was looking forward to a relaxing evening with a good cup of coffee in your café. Unfortunately my visit was marred by the unfriendly service. What was particularly disappointing was that the waiter didn't even say goodbye after taking the cash, for which we had to wait a long time. This rudeness was the icing on the cake of an already negative experience. What I expect from a café is that you feel comfortable and can enjoy a break from everyday life. That was definitely not the case here. I will not visit your café again in the future and unfortunately I cannot recommend it.

This cafe is in a perfect location. It has a great atmosphere and an appealing food menu. The prices are reasonable and not overpriced. Additionally, the drink and wine selection is excellent. It can get quite busy, so it may take some time to place your order. However, the staff is friendly and welcoming. If you're in this beautiful city that still exudes old German charm, this cafe is a must-try!

The Cafe Del Sol was my first stop when I moved to Wiesbaden. I have spent many lunches there and really like the place at the Kochbrunnen. Unfortunately, I noticed that the service has gotten steadily worse over the last two years, which means that the excuse “current wave of illness” is not entirely understandable to me. Unfortunately, the final trigger for the bad rating was today. When we arrived at the café at 1:20 p.m. we waited almost 10 minutes (which is still okay) for someone to come. We then waited another 10 minutes until our tickets arrived and another 10 minutes until we could order. The table next to us, which had come with us, had already left. When we had our drinks after more than 30 minutes, it was okay at first. But then no one came to our table for another 40 minutes. When I finally went in because we wanted to pay, I was ignored for 5 minutes and then sent back to the seat with the words “someone is coming immediately”. After another few minutes we had to speak to one of the ladies again that we wanted to pay. The waitress to whom we then paid came out with the very unfriendly words “and someone here wanted to pay” and her hands went up at 4 tables in parallel. Dear Del Sol team, it's really a shame, I enjoyed staying with you, but unfortunately the development of the service over the last two years has been very poor, and you are no longer the first choice when I want to go out for a relaxed drink.

Despite repeated requests, no one came to take our food order. We sat centrally, but eye contact was consistently ignored. We spoke to the waitress and she said “yes, straight away”. By now our drinks were also empty. This was also skillfully ignored by all employees. Other guests kept coming in from outside because they were also waiting to order or pay. Meanwhile, employees kept standing at the bar and looked as if they had nothing to do. After spending an hour there, and my husband consistently "chasing" several waiters, we were finally able to pay. Hungry and disappointed, we went somewhere else. There is probably something wrong with the service here. Save yourself the disappointment and go somewhere else.

Café Del Sol has a really nice atmosphere that invites you to linger. The service was friendly and attentive, and overall I felt very comfortable here. I was only there for a drink this time, but I will definitely come back just because of the great ambience and the relaxed atmosphere.

Our food pasta and potato pancakes are tasty and well made. The drinks came after food. Reordering drinks always took over 20 minutes for them to arrive. There were 5 men in service who stood at the counter a lot and did nothing. Let's say they were present very comfortably and often casually walked to a table. Unfortunately, toilets are underwhelming. I don't want to go into detail. Problem, if the toilets are in such an unkempt condition I hope that behind the counter and kitchen things are hopefully much, much, much tidier. It has to be said that the cafe wasn't even 50% full and it was only 4 p.m. Very unfortunate. We drove over an hour to redeem our vouchers. According to the website, the kitchen is open until 10 p.m. After we arrived at 9:02 p.m., we were told that only Pinsa could be ordered from 9 p.m. Nothing else is possible. That was my first time in the cafe around 3:30 p.m. on December 28th, 2024, but I don't want to go back. Waiters and food were okay. But there was an employee on the bakery display case, my wife just wanted to ask something, he just waved his hand, pretended he was busy and wanted us to wait. Then we waited for him, then he just turned his back on us and didn't want to answer us even though we were standing in front of him. It seemed like he didn't want us here.

For the second time, there isn't that much going on in the restaurant. The waitress says: stand by and wait for us. You can't just take a table that's free. After waiting a few minutes we left this place.

Wir waren auf einer Feier zum Brunch eingeladen. Die Brunchzeit liegt zwischen 9:00 und 13:00 Uhr. Bei Betreten des Restaurants wurde mitgeteilt, dass die Gruppe um 12:00 Uhr gehen muss. Um ca. 11:30 Uhr wurde die Forderung erneut mitgeteilt. Für eine Feier mit Reservierung geht das gar nicht. Wenn Zeitslots vergeben werden, muss das vorher kommuniziert werden. Ich kann das Restaurant aufgrund des Umgangs mit den Gästen daher NICHT empfehlen. Scheinbar war die Gruppe auch die einzige, die Hinausgebeten wurde.

I would also like to mention our long-time employee Mario, he loves what he does and you can tell that as a guest! Always attentive, always friendly and helpful! Prospective service staff should undergo training with him! People like to order more and of course they also like to give tips! The selection at the buffet is huge and there is something for everyone, even warm dishes in the morning! Not a given and at a price of just under 22 euros it's totally fine for the brunch buffet! The à la carte food is also varied and reasonably priced. Everyone gets their money's worth with the entire selection! We will continue to come here and hope to be able to meet Mario for a long time!

Absolutely not recommended... My daughter ate the pasta funghi with chicken there last Sunday, shortly afterwards she got a stomach ache and diarrhea followed in the evening. She lay completely flat for 6 days. Her condition was so bad that she had to go to the family doctor and the emergency room and both confirmed it was food poisoning. Something like that simply shouldn't happen to a restaurant!

Bedienung sehr langsam.. 15 min alleine bis zur Getränke Bestellung. Gleiche Zeit bis Getränke kommen. 3 Personen bestellen Essen. 2 bekommen. Das 3. wird vergessen und kommt erst nach Nachfragen wenn die anderen fertig sind. Angeblich Fehler der Küche!?

The location at Kochbrunnenplatz is very nice. There is a large selection of dishes (classics but also modern dishes). Vegans/vegetarians can also find something here. The atmosphere in the historic building is very nice, there is enough space and when the weather is nice you can also sit outside. UPDATE: The burgers are well made, but the side salad is far too small, less than 150 grams. In comparison, the side dish of fries was significantly larger.

A nice restaurant, a relaxing change from Ballermann, although the Mega Park and the Bierkönig are easy to reach on foot. The food is delicious and you can enjoy a beautiful view of the sea on the terrace above. Here you can end the evening beautifully.
