Best location with an absolute feel-good character. Very beautiful historical building, which has been furnished in a very charming way with an absolute feel-good character. Drinks are recommended. Our food pasta and potato pancakes are tasty and well made. The drinks came after food. Reordering drinks always took over 20 minutes for them to arrive. There were 5 men in service who stood at the counter a lot and did nothing. Let's say they were present very comfortably and often casually walked to a table. Unfortunately, toilets are underwhelming. I don't want to go into detail. Problem, if the toilets are in such an unkempt condition I hope that behind the counter and kitchen things are hopefully much, much, much tidier. It has to be said that the cafe wasn't even 50% full and it was only 4 p.m. Very unfortunate. The location is very ingenious, you really enjoy spending time there, but the cleanliness, please, that's not possible and can be quickly remedied with proper service. Please fix it, then full 5 stars 🌟 absolutely

Website says: Kitchen open until 10 p.m Traveled specifically from Mannheim to redeem vouchers and then the kitchen closed at 9 p.m. Promised service not delivered. If Cafe del Sol doesn't take the vouchers back, things will get interesting!

We drove over an hour to redeem our vouchers. According to the website, the kitchen is open until 10 p.m. After we arrived at 9:02 p.m., we were told that only Pinsa could be ordered from 9 p.m. Nothing else is possible. Since we came for the schnitzel, we had to leave. I consider this approach to be a poor service culture and can therefore emphatically not recommend the restaurant!

That was my first time in the cafe around 3:30 p.m. on December 28th, 2024, but I don't want to go back. Waiters and food were okay. But there was an employee on the bakery display case, my wife just wanted to ask something, he just waved his hand, pretended he was busy and wanted us to wait. Then we waited for him, then he just turned his back on us and didn't want to answer us even though we were standing in front of him. It seemed like he didn't want us here.

For the second time, there isn't that much going on in the restaurant. The waitress says: stand by and wait for us. You can't just take a table that's free. After waiting a few minutes we left this place.

Prospective service staff should undergo training with him! People like to order more and of course they also like to give tips! The selection at the buffet is huge and there is something for everyone, even warm dishes in the morning! Not a given and at a price of just under 22 euros it's totally fine for the brunch buffet! Unfortunately, the service didn't work so well. Our food was ready super quickly but the waitress left it there for ages and didn't serve it to us. The fries and the burger were then cold. The drinks also stood at the neighboring table for ages and were not served. At some point we took them ourselves.

Absolutely not recommended... My daughter ate the pasta funghi with chicken there last Sunday, shortly afterwards she got a stomach ache and diarrhea followed in the evening. She lay completely flat for 6 days. Her condition was so bad that she had to go to the family doctor and the emergency room and both confirmed it was food poisoning. Something like that simply shouldn't happen to a restaurant!

The location at Kochbrunnenplatz is very nice. There is a large selection of dishes (classics but also modern dishes). Vegans/vegetarians can also find something here. The atmosphere in the historic building is very nice, there is enough space and when the weather is nice you can also sit outside. UPDATE: The burgers are well made, but the side salad is far too small, less than 150 grams. In comparison, the side dish of fries was significantly larger.

Very nice restaurant on Kranzplatz. We mostly sit outside and enjoy the peace and quiet of this place and the green surroundings. The range of dishes on offer is diverse, so everyone will find something. Price/performance ratio is good. We always feel comfortable and well looked after there. Service and operation is friendly and professional. We will happily go there again. A clear recommendation from us.

One of the worst experiences I had in Germany didn’t get service for 30 minutes even after going up to the front and speaking with the host and other workers they served everyone else that came in the restaurant but didn’t bother to walk outside not once. Just close the patio if that’s the case 0/10 just awful.

Brunch like the Sun King ...that's wonderful every Sunday in Café del Sol. A year ago I invited my friends to Wiesbaden. Big praise for the entire team. The buffet and the service around it were first class. Added to this is the exposed location of the café at Kochplatz, a cradle of the famous Wiesbaden spa culture.

Brunchen wie der Sonnenkönig … das geht immer sonntags wunderbar im Café del Sol. Ich habe dazu vor einem Jahr meine Freunde nach Wiesbaden eingeladen. Großes Lob für das gesamte Team. Disappointing service I was recently in a café and discovered a dead fly in the cup after pouring my still water. The waitress brought me a new cup, but no fresh water. When paying I pointed this out and asked if I had to pay full price since I could only drink half. Any goodwill was refused. Although the waitress was friendly, I didn't feel taken seriously and was very disappointed in how my complaint was handled.

We waited about 40 minutes for the food. Both meals were cold. After complaining, we waited another 30 minutes and one meal was okay, the other was almost cold again. Since we were hungry, we ate the "cold" food for approx. 60% was eaten. When we paid, we complained again and were told that the "shift manager" had personally brought the food to us directly from the kitchen and that the salad had made the burger cold. Why the fries were almost cold was easy to understand ignored.On the contrary, one would have to ask the impudent question "if you order a salad, do you complain even if it's cold?" listen. You only saw the "shift manager" "I'm the boss here today" when checking out. Was there on Sunday morning for the Kranzplatz festival. There was only the large buffet for €20. The quality was reasonable, and the hot food was already empty 1 hour before the end. Since the small glass of water at 0.25 costs €3.80, you shouldn't be surprised why the restaurant was only half full despite the festival. I think there are better alternatives in Wiesbaden.

Angenehmes Ambiente. Leider während Essenszeit des Servierpersonal etwas zu langes Warten auf Bestellung. Long Island Ice Tea klassich, gute Zusammenstellung, Kaffee (Espresso) sehr gut. Angenehme Bestuhlung. Ein perfektes Lokal zum Freunde zu treffen oder zum Entspannen und den Enten auf der Wiese zuzusehen.

Very bad customer service! My friend wanted to redeem a gift voucher that was not accepted because it was not the same as the original. We were portrayed as fraudsters by both the operations manager and the head office because of 25 euros! It was completely denied that the error could have occurred when packing and sending the voucher. Never again Café del Sol and just don't order vouchers there.
