Delicious food, good wine, we were allowed to taste before choosing. Attentive service who spoke perfect German and had good emotional intelligence. That's what it was like in the evening in this restaurant.
At lunchtime everything is different. You sit and wait for service. This does not appear because there is no service here. But there is also no indication that there is no service! You order your food at the counter, pay in advance, get a pager, wait for it to flash and then get up again, go to the food counter and bring your food and drinks to the table yourself. It reminded me of my student days and the cafeteria. Service is different! Positive surprise at the end: espresso and dessert are served, brought to the table in the traditional way and the used dishes are put away.
For dinner there was piccata a la milanese with risotto and rocket salad. That tasted very good!
This was our first time at this shop, and we really enjoyed it! There was a huge selection on a beautifully designed menu! It was almost impossible to decide. The desserts are right at the front behind a small display window and look truly wonderful.
There is one small negative point: the food took quite a while to prepare, and the dirty cutting boards and dishes remained on our table for a long time, even though we had already finished our side dish, for example.
Since the shop was very busy, we can overlook that :)
I ordered from Mangali and am very satisfied! The pizza arrived quickly and hot. The dough was nice and crispy, the ingredients were fresh and the taste was simply great. The service was friendly, including during delivery. I can definitely recommend this pizzeria and will order again!
Decent place with a beautiful interior and design, amazing flor stuff with an excellent service, honorable mention to Enrique, Benoit and Anna. Those guys made my trip much better in Berlin, thank you!
But there was a really disappointing matter, that I can't miss in my testimony and this is the food. I ate on two different days, breakfast and lunch, both of them were just ok, or even bad, especially Fish Stew on my second day. Scrambled eggs were made good, but the amount was really funny, cause it looked like one half of the egg and with a fish stew vegetables were way too sour, so it wasn't edible at all.
Summarizing, I can tell, that this is a really decent place that might need to review the kitchen in order to be perfect. Thank you!
Terrible place! It's incredibly dirty here - the tables are sticky, there are cobwebs everywhere, and the entire atmosphere is crying out for a much-needed renovation. The coffee? It comes after an eternity and is served in an unacceptable condition. If you point this out politely, you will be fobbed off with unbearable arrogance. Absolutely not recommended - you're just wasting time and nerves!
Unfortunately I wouldn't come back. I had a souvlaki with chicken and a portion of dolmadakia. Souvlaki was tasty but too salty. The portion was quite large. I asked if dolmadakia are homemade and the answer was yes. The quality was very poor. I come from Crete and have often eaten dolmadakia and it was very far from the taste I know. My friend had a portion with pork, which unfortunately wasn't cooked well. That's why the meat was cooked again according to our request. That can happen, but I expected a better assessment of meat cooking since the majority of the dishes in this store are meat. The meat was tasty but also too salty. Tzatziki was good. The prices are not very high but I would still expect better quality.
This charming little restaurant is a true gem for lovers of delicious cuisine and impresses with its spartan, rustic flair. The changing dishes always surprise us every time we visit. We are thrilled by the sophisticated culinary combinations and variations that are served to us in bowls and plates. Here, every dinner becomes a new journey of discovery for the palate - a must for connoisseurs who are looking for something special.
The pies were ok, the preserves too, but not super fresh. The ambience is a bit kitschy, although it is cozy but outdated when you look at the details. Bread tasted cold and like cardboard. Service was also ok but not super friendly.
