A nice family-run restaurant with very nice and committed hosts.
I invited around 60 people to a large family celebration and all of my guests were absolutely thrilled.
From the champagne reception to the soup and the buffet to the dessert, everything was perfect.
Given the ever-present staff shortage, you have done a great job.
A huge thank you for this wonderful day!
When our oven failed, Christmas Eve dinner for 9 was saved by "Val" and his family. The food, drinks, service and music were incredible. They couldn't have done more for us. Val even broke out the French Horn and played carols, before jumping on the piano for an impromptu carols sing-along with our children. They turned our disaster into something beautiful and memorable. The off-menu roast pork was perfect!
The service was great. The lady that took care of us was extremely nice and spoke great English. The group I traveled with all had schnitzel and beer. The schnitzels were all very very good and their beers were excellent. I’d definitely go back.
The restaurant was comfortable and had a very homey, cozy feel. They also had a very nice outdoor seating area.
The selection of wines was very good. The service friendly. Unfortunately the range of food on offer is very limited and unfortunately there was no soup. Music and decorations were terrible. We had plastic flowers as table decorations. Too bad. It smelled unpleasantly like a sewer.
Unfortunately, the new owners left reviews from the time when Anselm was still the tenant of the wonderful Straußberghütte. For me it has an aftertaste of “adorning oneself with someone else’s feathers”! And anyone who then looks at the reviews quickly gets a falsely positive impression.
I don't have to say much about the view, it is and remains fantastic!
Now to gastro: opening times are only on weekends and are not attractive for seasonal or holiday guests. Bridge days or similar are not taken into account. Dishes: one-sided Ayuvedic / Vegetarian. Well, if you like it, you'll probably get your money's worth. And does it cost something? Prices: completely excessive in my opinion!
Staff: tries to be friendly, but unable to find a friendly and satisfactory solution for the guest when there are complaints.
My conclusion: the hike is worth it; just the wonderful view. But it's better to take snacks and snacks with you yourself. Saves your wallet and your nerves!
Small restaurant always recommended on the green market, top in summer and winter for years. Service very good and friendly. Thanks to the owner Maria for the high quality of her restaurant.👏😀
