Wirtshaus Prinze Gumpe in Bad Hindelang

Leider entsprach der Besuch im Restaurant nicht unserer Vorstellung. Speisekarte die wir online vorgefunden haben, war von den vorherigen Pächtern. Somit haben wir uns 2 Geruchte der aus 4 Gerichten bestehenden Tageskarte bestellt. 1. Gericht Kartoffelspalten mit Putenstreifen und Kräuterquark und Salat. Wo soll ich anfangen? Das Gericht bestand aus 5 Kartoffelspalten ( umgerechnet 1 und 1/4 Kartoffel sowie 5 Kleinen Putenstreifen und einer kleinen Salatbeilage. Kartoffeln von innen fest / roh Putenstreifen trocken und teilweise verbrannt. Portionsgröße???? maximal Kinderportion 2. Gericht Schweinemedailons mit Speckbohnen und Spätzle knapp 20€ bestehend aus 3 ca 0,5cm dünnen Schweinefilets 2 kleinen Bund Speckbohnen und wenn überhaupt 1 Kinderhand voll Spätzle in unangenehm schmeckender Sauce ( wie bereits angesetzt / verbrannt) ebenfalls Kinderportion.

Wir waren in Vergangenheit immer zufrieden, das Essen war gut, der Service nett und der Platz an sich ist wunderschön. Prinze Gumpe ist ein ganz besonderer Ort, den die Gemeinde auch super gut erhält. Es ist sauber und sehr gepflegt und das ohne Eintritt, nur mit freiwilliger Spende.

Ein Wohlfühlort, der Seinesgleichen sucht. Tolle Atmosphäre, super Service und eine Chefin, die mit Herzblut für das Wohl der Gäste sorgt. Die Karte ist abwechslungsreich, es werden nicht zu viele Speisen angeboten, aber man findet immer etwas nach seinem Geschmack. Und es schmeckt! Und an einem Sommerabend nach dem Essen, mit einem Glas Wein in den Liegestühlen neben dem Wasserfall zu verweilen, fantastisch❤️

Ein schönes gemütliches Restaurant mit einer der tollsten Lagen im Allgäu. Sehr freundlich und herzlich. Es wurde auch an die Kinder gedacht. Nach der Neu-Eröffnung dieses Jahr mit neuer Pächterin hat sich alles zum Positiven verändert. Man spürt die Liebe zum Detail. Wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt. Gerne wieder.

Waren am Wochenende mit unserem Kleinen in der Prinzegumpe und müssen einfach mal eine Bewertung dalassen: Wir sind echt begeistert. Die Besitzerin und das gesamte Personal sind total herzlich und nett. Das macht direkt einen guten Eindruck. Für Kinder ist es dort einfach ideal. Man kanndraussen auf Erkundungstour gehen, im Wasser plantschen oder Frösche beobachten. Drinnen gibt eine richtig gut ausgestattete Spielecke, wo sich unser Kleiner ewig beschäftigt hat. Als Eltern konnte man mal kurz durchatmen und in Ruhe was essen. Apropos Essen – richtig gut! Hat uns allen geschmeckt, und auch portionsmäßig top. Preislich gibt da auch nichts zu meckern. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder, hat sich für uns echt gelohnt. Kann ich anderen Familien nur empfehlen!

Ein sehr idyllischen Ort, der zum Entspannen und Verweilen einläd. Fürs leibliche Wohl ist bestens gesorgt. Egal ob Wurstsalat, Brotzeit, Schnitzel oder wechselnde Tagesgerichte. Es ist für jeden was dabei.

Das Lokal liegt direkt an der Prinze Gumpe in allerbester Lage. Freundliche Bedienung, meist einfache Gerichte. Draußen an der Gumpe kann man sehr gut sitzen.

Eine klare Empfehlung in jeder Hinsicht von uns. Lecker Essen und selbstgemachte Kuchen und Nachtische, Top freundlicher Service, Preis- Leistung stimmt....was will man mehr !!!

Sonntag Nachmittag, herrliches Wetter, beste Zeit für Prinze Gumpe…. Kaffee und leckere Kuchen, später alkoholfreie Erfrischungsgetränke… Ein hochmotiviertes Team unter der Führung von Kristina Gluth hat uns in einmaligem Ambiente am malerischen Badesee fürstlich verwöhnt. Wir kommen wieder!

Wir haben gegessen Spargel Spaghetti, Bruschetta, Schnitzel Pommes und für unser Kind Spätzle mit Soße.Mehr als nur Daumen hoch.Hier gibt es im übrigen Lalila Spritz. Mega lecker, hab ich bisher nur in Österreich gesehen.

Wir waren heute mit der Familie zum Mittagessen vor Ort. Offenbar ein neuer Pächter der am 1.5.2026 gestartet hat und besonderen Wert auf Familien mit Kindern legt. Die Speisekarte ist (noch) sehr überschaubar aber wir waren sowohl von Maultaschen mit Kartoffelsalat als auch Salat mit Ziegenkäse und Walnüssen begeistert. Für unserer Kinder gab es Spätzle mit Soße die liebevoll und kindgerecht serviert und mit einem großen Gummibärchen begleitet wurden. Zum abschließenden Espresso gab es auch noch einen selbstgebackenen Keks. Wir wünschen dem neuen Team alles Gute und hoffen, dass diese Qualität aufrecht erhalten werden kann.

Außenbereich sehr schön am Teich, in dem man auch baden kann. Essen ist viel zu teuer, es hat uns auch nicht geschmeckt, dazu Selbstbedienung

The Prinze Gumpe is a unique place. The inn is located on a natural lake fed by a cavern. The food, however, is very expensive, and the portions are meager. The Schlutzkrapfen are exactly five filled ravioli without a side dish for 15 euros. That's quite steep. The Romanian dishes are perhaps more substantial, as the host is more knowledgeable about them. It's enough for a drink. I'd skip the food.

Great location right by the natural swimming pond, huge, delicious portions, and reasonably priced. Super friendly host.

Beautiful beer garden by the outdoor swimming pool. I tried the Papanasi. Very tasty, a kind of quark dumpling with vanilla sauce, jam, and blueberries. Very tasty.

A beautiful place where you can find peace and quiet. The restaurant is okay; the staff are clueless, the prices are way too high, but they're friendly. If you come here with children, you should bring food and drink.

A beautiful natural outdoor swimming pool in the mountains.

We stopped here after our short hike to the waterfall. The innkeeper was very friendly and accommodating. We had a wonderful time here. We highly recommend the restaurant.

It's a wonderful place to sit in Hinterstein, on the edge of a small natural swimming pond, listening to the rushing waterfall in the background. The cheerful and humorous chef serves the guests himself and even gave an alphorn performance last time. The food is excellent and plentiful, all freshly prepared with an emphasis on regional dishes. Highly recommended!

When our oven failed, Christmas Eve dinner for 9 was saved by "Val" and his family. The food, drinks, service and music were incredible. They couldn't have done more for us. Val even broke out the French Horn and played carols, before jumping on the piano for an impromptu carols sing-along with our children. They turned our disaster into something beautiful and memorable. The off-menu roast pork was perfect!

Nach einer Wanderung sind wir im Restaurant Prinze Gumpe in Hinterstein eingekehrt. Wir haben sowohl eine kleine wie auch eine große Portion Kaiser Schmarrn bestellt. Leider war das Ergebnis nicht zufrieden stellend. Die Portion bestand aus einem Teig der nach Pfannkuchen aussah und nicht schmackhaft war. Die Portionen waren sehr klein und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war nicht gegeben. Wir waren sehr enttäuscht.

The discovery in the Hintersteiner Valley this year. On the way back from a short tour to end a wonderful Tannheim-Allgäu mountain trip, we passed by the waterfall here. It's great what's on offer around Prinzen Gumpe. Great food, from the delicious currywurst to beetroot carpaccio to the small Häxle, everything was great. The service was flexible and quickly added deck chairs or seats on the bench when it was full and always remained courteous and friendly. A wonderful place to be for a while. We started today with coffee and iced coffee, were able to put down our backpacks, squeeze in a short running session, shower and jump into the pool and then fortify ourselves. Just great. Thanks for the hospitality!

We really enjoyed the food in the “Prinze Gumpe”. The outdoor area is very popular when the weather is right. On days with good weather it can get crowded. The restaurant is popular with hikers.

Very nice location on the Prinze Gumpe. The food (we had cheese sparrows and sausage salad) is generally okay but nothing special. Also small portions and the price is not appropriate. Especially after a hike, I expect more for my money. Speaking of money: card payments are not possible. More than incomprehensible these days.

This is how to live. After a hike to the nearby waterfall and a refreshing swim in the Prinze Gumpe, enjoy a delicious meal on the terrace. The dishes are refreshingly different. If you're lucky, the innkeeper will play the alphorn. Now it's almost idyllic, postcard-like. Beautiful! With a wheelchair you can easily get to the terrace and then just relax.

Dieses versteckte Plätzchen ist in jeder Hinsicht einladend! Zunächst ladet der liebevoll gestaltete Naturteich zum Verweilen ein, danach wird man von der Familie gastronomisch verwöhnt und mit Glück gibt’s auch ein Alphornblasen vom Chef persönlich. Der krönende Abschluss jedoch war ein Hauskonzert mit Klavier und Cello - eine perfekte Überraschung! Danke!!!

Idyllically located directly on the Prinze Gumpe, this inn invites you to linger. Regional dishes are offered. The homemade plum datschi was a dream... It's self-service outside. Friendly staff.

Wonderfully located, cozy and very friendly and lovely innkeepers. The food, currently somewhat reduced in selection due to the pandemic, is very tasty and freshly prepared, with high-quality ingredients. The beer is well chilled and a friendly chat on the sidelines is of course part of it. Oh yes, the schnapps isn't bad either 😅 The obligatory hygiene requirements are of course adhered to and for us it was a safe and enjoyable evening. If you want to have a good meal in Hinterstein, then definitely go to the friendly Prinze Gumpe 😊 Oh yes, we saw that eating to go is also possible, but we prefer to enjoy the atmosphere in Prinze Gumpe directly on site!

Das Essen hier ist sehr gut und die Wirtschaft absolut einen Ausflug wert. Wir hatten ein sehr gutes Wiener Schnitzel mit Kartoffelsalat (ohne Mayonaise, sehr frisch) und Pastataschen mit Kürbisfüllung. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und das Ambiente wirkt sehr liebevoll. Daneben kann man in den eiskalten Teich springen, wenn man Lust dazu hat.

Die Kürbiswoche ist der Hammer! Und einmal Kinderschnitzel. Lecker

Ein wunderbarer Ort. Preislich vollkommen in Ordnung, 5,50 Euro für diesen gut eingeschenkten Hugo. Sehr nett dort.
