Wirtshaus Kematsried in Bad Hindelang

Wir waren spontan auf der Suche nach einem Restaurant in Oberjoch und hatten mehr als Glück den letzten Tisch zu ergattern. Der Service war super freundlich, auch sehr kinderfreundlich, alle unsere Wünsche wurden erfüllt. Gerne wieder! Besser ist es wahrscheinlich vorab zu reservieren

Sehr gutes Wirtshaus. Waren zweimal dort essen. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Ein sehr guter Kaiserschmarrn sehr zu empfehlen. Der Service war sehr gut. Reservieren empfohlen.

Vielleicht hatten wir auch einfach nur Pech, wenn man all die guten Rezensionen sieht. Aber in unserem Fall hat der junge Kellner uns lange Warten lassen, wenn er sich auch ehrenhafterweise entschuldigt hat. Das Essen war mittelmäßig. Die Käsespäzle hatten wenig Bergkäse und eher trocken. Die Röstzwiebeln leider nicht genug geröstet. Das Cordon Bleu in Ordnung, aber klein für den Preis. Leider kein wirklich gelungener Abend.

Absoluter Totalausfall????!!!! Der schlechteste Zwiebelrostbraten den ich jemals bekommen habe. Zäh wie eine Schuhsohle. Weiterhin war der Salat nicht mehr verfügbar. Saibling hatten mehrere Gäste bestellt bis dann kommuniziert wurde das es nur noch einen gibt. 5 Minuten nach der Einigung am Tisch wer diesen bekommt wurde aus der Küche gemeldet das es nun doch keinen Fisch mehr gibt. Auf einmal Stromausfall…. nichts geht mehr. Glücklicherweise hatten wir einen Elektromeister am Tisch der innerhalb kürzester Zeit die Stromversorgung wieder herstellen konnte. Preise hoch Portionen klein und Qualität unterirdisch. Das beste kam am Ende als die vermeintlich Chefin zur Rückmeldung gekommen ist. Kritik wurde im Prinzip nicht angenommen. Kein Dank für die Unterstützung bzgl. der Stromversorgung. Am Ende haben wir unsere komplette Rechnung bezahlt und sind hungrig und frustriert gegangen. Der Nachbartisch hat nach 1,5 Stunden ohne Essen zu bekommen gegangen. Das junge Bedienungspersonal wurde vorgeschickt und alleine gelassen. Der Koch rauchte in der Küche während des Stromausfall….. ohne Worte Absolut nicht empfehlenswert, gehen sie nicht hierhin, Preis/Leistung ist nicht gerechtfertigt.

Wunderschönes Wirtshaus in traumhafter Lage! Die urige, denkmalgeschützte Alpe Kematsried hat eine ganz besondere Atmosphäre – gemütlich, authentisch und mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Das Essen war hervorragend und der Service sehr freundlich. Perfekt für einen entspannten Abend am Kamin oder draußen mit Blick in die Natur. Klare Empfehlung!

It was simply delicious. They served Allgäu onion roast beef, perfectly cooked, pink roast beef of very good quality, served with fantastic cheese spaetzle. I was about to order the main course again, but then reconsidered and opted for Kaiserschmarren for dessert. Also highly recommended. It's not exactly cheap, though; the main course came to just under €30. However, expensive food is no exception these days, so I didn't want to deduct anything for that...

A heartfelt menu cover, very nicely hand-made by the grandmother of the boy who looked after us. Inside was a slightly worn menu card. The food was good: (1 person - Krautkrapfen: 3 pieces) Not particularly large. (2 people - Kässpatzen: very tasty, unfortunately not enough onions). Afterwards, we wanted to devour Kaiserschmarrn, but unfortunately the two boys were so busy that they even walked...it was quite crowded. We were unable to order more at the table (including drinks), even when asked; the wait was about 30 minutes for the Kaiserschmarrn. We didn't want to stress them any further, so we paid and left. The farm is nice, but there's nothing that deserves extra stars.

Ate there twice on vacation, it was super delicious.

The Kaiserschmarrn was very good and beautifully presented on the plate; the apple sauce was also very good. You could actually sit there comfortably, but at least outside, it was absolutely no fun due to the terribly intrusive flies. There were about 20 of them constantly next to and on your plate; you can eat the Kaiserschmarrn with just one hand, but the other is constantly busy chasing the flies away. So eating it was merely a way to satisfy your hunger, not an experience of the scenery and tranquility.

A rustic alpine hut in a former cowshed with excellent Allgäu cuisine in a cozy, rustic atmosphere—we'd love to come back! Something like this should be preserved :)

The atmosphere in this inn is rustic and very cozy. The service was very good. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite live up to our expectations. We go out for delicious food on vacation, and above all, we want something we can't replicate at home. In this case, our schnitzel and onion roast would have tasted much better at home. The same goes for the Kaiserschmarren, which costs €18????! We've never had such expensive Kaiserschmarren in any other mountain hut or restaurant. In our opinion, the prices are far too high for the quality and taste.

The atmosphere in the restaurant is unique and incredibly cozy! The food is excellent, and the service is very friendly and competent! A visit to the restaurant is absolutely recommended!

Prices have gone up considerably. The food was delicious, except for dessert. I ordered a scoop of ice cream and got two teaspoons of scraped ice cream. Well, they gave me a €0.50 discount. The waiter was very nice but also very inexperienced. We were chatting, and then he interrupted and asked if we wanted anything else. Our plates were cleared away even though the others were still eating. That's not okay. I don't think I'll go there anymore. What a shame.

Today, a group of 11 of us had dinner here for the first time. Everyone was very impressed with the food, ambiance, and service. The food was delicious and was served fairly quickly, as were the drinks. We'll definitely be back.

Beautiful, quaint inn. The service was super quick and friendly. We had to wait a bit for our food because it was full and the kitchen was understaffed. The rump steak was perfectly medium and the burger was juicy. The Cordon Bleu was super tasty. The cheese spaetzle were a bit boring and not that creamy. But respect for the two ladies employed who threw everything together the whole evening and had everything under control. We'll be back!

Nice environment with good food

There were five of us in the restaurant. The food was solid, good cuisine. Overall, it's not very seasoned, which can be a kitchen style to emphasize the flavor of the food. However, the red cabbage with the game goulash tasted like nothing. The roast could hardly be described as "medium", more like feeding for predators. The cranberries were missing from the Wiener Schnitzel. Why only three stars? You are judged by your self-proclaimed claim and, according to the menu, this is to appeal to gourmets. Anyone who comes with these expectations will be disappointed. The cuisine still lacks sophistication and the prices are borderline high.

Subterranean, food as it was on the menu was not served. On the menu there were homemade dumplings and there were spaetzle on the plate. Crusty roast tasted like it had been warmed up. Cheese spaetzle was swimming in the fat. Price performance absolutely overpriced!!! There is no salad with the meal You also have to pay extra for it. I've eaten better in some canteens.

We were there today and ate the Käsespätzle there because there was nothing else due to the late arrival at 8:15 p.m. It's ok because the kitchen closes at 8:30 p.m. The cheese pätzle were okay, but I've eaten better ones and, in my opinion, too expensive for the price of €15.40 (without a side salad). . Therefore only three stars because of price/performance

Very nice inn with delicious food and a great beer garden from which you have a great view of the Iseler and the Iselergrad. Really wonderful, especially at sunset. The service was super nice, the food was freshly prepared and very good. Coffee and ice cream were also very tasty. The prices are the same as almost everywhere else - around 15 euros for Kässpätzle, around 20 euros for the Cordon Bleu - but since everything was fresh and tasty, it's at least worth the price here.

We wanted to spend our last evening in Oberjoch :) Wirtshaus was recommended to us - but I wouldn't recommend it. Reservation by email - no problem. Friendly reception - no problem Lots of flies - yes - but you're on a farm, country kids know that ;) Ordering drinks - no problem Food - after 65! We asked directly for a few minutes. In the meantime we were asked three times if everything was still OK, each time - "we're still waiting for food" After the direct inquiry, we quickly ran into the kitchen and quickly put the crusty roast with red cabbage and the onion roast on the plate and heated it up in a microwave or something. Why, the red cabbage tasted like it was from yesterday, really bad! The hunger, we had already been there for 90 minutes, got the better of us. Service offered us a cafe on the house as compensation. Open feedback was brushed off because there were still many guests inside. In the outdoor area, 2 tables in front of us had received the main course (aha ;)) What a shame! Mistakes happen, talk about it openly with the guest (even if it takes a while) and then deliver it perfectly, café and dessert on the house - a great evening. But not like that! Was disappointed! Can understand and underline one or two negative comments.

It couldn't be worse! If you ever want to eat really bad food and at disproportionately high prices, then you are in good hands with the new tenant and his cook at the Kematsried Wirt. It started with the reservation. We made a reservation online at 2 p.m. for the same evening. At 5:30 p.m. I still had no feedback and called. I was told that the email probably didn't go through (amazing!) and they took my reservation for the outdoor area. I thought. When we arrived there were no tables left outside. We weren't in the reservation book. But there were “Reserved” signs on ALL the tables. The innkeeper probably wants to create a high occupancy rate due to the popularity of the inn. Very amateurish! The food would not have been bearable even for half the price. I had tender but completely tasteless venison goulash with a soggy sauce. Here, a convenience sauce from a bag might have been an even better option. This was served with lukewarm red cabbage and slightly “crispy” spaetzle that had apparently been regenerated several times. My wife ate the really, really good Kässpatzen from the previous landlord. Unfortunately she got the same spaetzle as me. However, with almost no cheese (long live the low cost of goods). This was of such poor quality that one could assume that it was analogue cheese. That would also fit because the innkeeper has recently started offering pizza, which is known to often use this cheap cheese. Card payment is also not possible. In this way, if you think mischievously, you could also optimize your use of goods. We have been coming to Bad Hindelang every year for decades and have always enjoyed eating at Kematsried. The inn has been a reasonably reasonable alternative, especially over the past 10 years, when the only real restaurant on site, the Obere Mühle, has closed days. In the future we will probably have to cook for ourselves or get pizza on these days. We'll just wait until a new tenant comes to Kematsried. The current one won't last long with this performance anyway

Wenn man einmal so richtig grausam schlecht und zu überproportional hohen Preisen essen möchte, dann ist man bei dem neuen Pächter und seinem Koch im Wirtshaus Kematsried bestens aufgehoben. Es begann schon bei der Reservierung. Wir haben Online um 14.00h für den gleichen Abend reserviert. Um 17.30h hatte ich immer noch kein Feedback und rief an. Man sagte mir, dass die Email wohl nicht durchgekommen sei (Totlach!) und nahm meine Reservierung für den Aussenbereich auf. Dachte ich. Als wir ankamen war Draußen kein Tisch mehr frei. Im Reservierungsbuch standen wir nicht drin. Aber dafür standen auf ALLEN Tischen „Reserviert“ Schilder. Wahrscheinlich will der Wirt damit eine hohe Auslastung aufgrund der Beliebtheit des Gasthauses vorgaukeln. Sehr amateurhaft! Das Essen wäre auch für die Hälfte des Preises nicht zu ertragen gewesen. Ich hatte ein zwar zartes aber völlig geschmackloses Hirschgoulasch mit einer pampigen Sauce. Hier wäre eine Convenience Sauce aus der Tüte eventuell sogar noch die bessere Option gewesen. Dazu reichte man lauwarmen Rotkohl und anscheinend mehrfach regenerierte schon leicht „knusprige“ Spätzle. Meine Frau aß die beim vorherigen Wirt richtig, richtig guten Kässpatzen. Leider bekam sie die gleichen Spätzle wie ich. Allerdings mit so gut wie keinem Käse (es lebe der niedrige Wareneinsatz). Dieser war noch von derart schlechter Qualität dass man Analogkäse vermuten könnte. Das würde auch passen weil der Wirt neuerdings auch Pizza anbietet, bei der bekanntermaßen häufig dieser billige Käse verwendet wird. Kartenzahlung ist zudem auch nicht möglich. So könnte man,schelmisch gedacht, auch seinen Wareneinsatz optimieren. Wir kommen seit Jahrzehnten jedes Jahr nach Bad Hindelang und haben immer gerne im Kematsried gegessen. Das Wirtshaus war vor Allem in den zurückliegenden 10 Jahren eine halbwegs vernünftige Alternative wenn das einzig wahre Restaurant vor Ort, die Obere Mühle, Ruhetage hat. In Zukunft müssen wir an diesen Tagen wohl selbst kochen oder Pizza holen. Wir warten halt jetzt, bis wieder ein neuer Pächter ins Kematsried kommt. Lange wird sich der bisherige bei dieser Performance ohnehin nicht halten

When we were there there was an extreme plague of flies. There were no pizzas for whatever reason. No card payment possible, which I absolutely cannot understand.

It was a perfect evening all around. Starting with the service, she was just super friendly, as was the man who served us. The food was just really delicious. We like to go there on our vacation because it just gives us the feeling of vacation. You can tell that a lot of value is still placed on hospitality here.

!! Attention, no card payment possible!! Went there for food based on good recommendations. Venison ragout: Was warmed up, spaetzle also warmed up. It was fine. But wouldn't order it again. Ambiance: The furnishings are rather awkward for tall people. Tables are very low and the seating is very cramped. Biggest drawback: NO card payment! Not advertised anywhere. After eating we had to walk 10 minutes to the ATM and 10 minutes back again... Unnecessary.

Nice atmosphere, lots of wood. TOP. Food is OK, nothing special, portions aren't big, prices are unreasonably high. Even in Munich I get a better price-performance ratio.

Great hut atmosphere, cozy, small, my steak was super tender, tasty and plentiful. My wife's Kaiserschmarn was also very tasty. Service friendly.

I have never eaten such bad cheese spaetzle! The spaetzle was overcooked so it was a mess, I found bits of carrots from instant broth in it (that doesn't belong in there) and the cheese tasted like cheap powdered parmesan :( to charge 16 euros for it is a disgrace. I wonder if the chef/ The cook has already tried the food himself... My child also left out the spaetzle with sauce, which was really inedible!!! Maybe the other dishes are better, I can't judge that. The service was very nice. But we definitely wouldn't go there again and wouldn't recommend it if someone wanted to eat spaetzle.
