Always excellent. The quality of the meat and the cooking point are always perfect. We can only recommend Medium Rare! The meat melts in your mouth. The atmosphere is really nice, especially in the evenings. Although it could be a little bit brighter. All you can say about the staff is TOP. It's nice to give a little more tip. The prices are reasonable for the high quality.

One of the evenings , as we were walking in Amberg we ended up at this place ... tried 2 different place before getting here... both were full ... and yes we had no reservation. Location - in Amberg at the Salzstadelplatz , a small square in the vicinity of the main square, so I recommend you take a walk here ( you can try to drive the narrow streets , but ... I don't recommend that). Service - very good , even that place was not empty , the waitress did a very good job that evening. Minimal waiting time for the food from the kitchen. Food - I would say , very international, however they got also the German and Bavarian choices on the menu ...I went for a fish soup/stew that was , well an usual choice I would say ( in Bavaria ) but I can assure you it was very tasty , loaded with seafood and fish pieces it was nicely balanced , spicy , but not hot , and served with some garlic bread , what can I say , the chef did very well! The friends I was there with they went for variations of schnitzels ... and nobody was complaining at all. In terms of drinks - a very good selection of beers is available , I tasted a few of those and all were very good. Prices - I would say very pocket friendly, and I can tell you that we ate , all 4 of us, wit drinks ( at least 4 beers each) and we were paying about 130 Euros in total with tips ... and that is not bad at all. Overall a very good restaurant - when in Amberg I do recommend you try it.

I am a chocolate professional with 65 years of experience and can say that Kilian Schön's chocolates are among the best quality chocolates I have ever tasted.

In January I was back in Amberg ... and since a man needs to eat and have some beers too the Winkler Brauwirt was the place of choice for one of the evenings... so here are the findings. Location - inside the old city - on the Untere Nabburger Strasse you shall find it , in the summer they've got also a courtyard where you can sit outside - not the case in January. Very good seating capacity indoors and a "typical beerhouse" look with big tables and lots of wood panels on the walls Service - fast and prompt nothing to complain about ... the waiter was moving fast and the drinks and food arrived in no time. Speaking of food - there were some Bavarian classics on the menu I went for some fish ... deep fried carp as a starter with greens and a dip and smoked char with potatoes and greens as a main course .... both very tasty and nicely balanced dishes , both very good choices. The beers menu is also very solid , from the options I tasted 4 different beers that evening all different and all of those really good - as long as you like Bavarian beer. Prices - very good, from my perspective an excellent price to quality ratio - and you can pay with credit card. Overall a very good spot , for sure I will be back when I'm in Amberg, back for some food and more beers to sample from the menu of Winkler.

But overpriced because small portions

Went to the cult for dinner with friends after going to the cinema. Highly recommended, we were in the restaurant at 9:15 p.m. and were still able to choose from the menu and order food. Great value for money. Portions are plentiful and reasonable for the price 👍 Service was friendly and quick. Ambience is cozy and stress-free. Thank God we reserved in advance because the restaurant was completely full😊

Very tasty and, above all, conveniently located. I'd be happy to take some ice cream with me on the way.

The schnitzel with potato salad is my favorite meal. Here you are in very good hands ❣️❣️and barrier-free 🙏

Almost €9 for a really small salami pizza that tasted bad and had some kind of hot spice on it that was too spicy for the kids. And that after a good 5 minutes until someone was able to check out (I was the only guest) and almost half an hour of waiting for the pizza.

Always worth a trip/trip: Amberg and a stop at the Kummert Bräu. Tavern/brewery with very good food; Bavarian, rustic-modern, cozy restaurant with a “beer garden”. Service friendly, on the ball. Food very, very good/excellent. Child friendly. Nice seating options - several rooms. Also suitable for parties/celebrations. There are also theme evenings/events. In summer you can also sit outside. Lots of parking spaces in front.

I will never order from this again. Cheated on the price. More dishes billed than it was. Pay attention to what costs how much.

Das Essen von uns allen war ausgezeichnet, die Nachspeisen ebenso, ich hätte nichts zu verbessern. Es waren keine Fertigprodukte alles frisch und selbst gemacht. Das Servispersonal ist sehr freundlich und kompetent. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist gerechtfertigt. Wir kommen wieder.
