We had dinner here with the family. It was very tasty and value for money was completely fine. Would love to go there again.

Cozy tavern atmosphere. Service very friendly and quick. Zoigl beer very good, roast, schnitzel and tagliatelle perfect. We were very satisfied.

Nice and cozy inn. Unfortunately my food was burnt in several places and therefore wasn't really tasty.

A group of 30 people visited the “Winkler Bräuwirt” on a Sunday and had lunch there. The service was excellent. Quick response to requests. Everyone's food was brought to them at a time. For 30 people - without pre-order! - very remarkable. The taste is very good and the portions are large for “normal eaters”. Price performance top. Highly recommended for excursion groups with a timely program.

Today I had a schnitzel with potato salad. The schnitzel itself was incredibly deliciously seasoned and the portion was absolutely sufficient.... BUT THIS POTATO SALAD... A poem! Dear kitchen team, dear managers, whoever made this potato salad deserves a medal! Huge compliment to the kitchen! Next time I'll order potato salad as the main dish and schnitzel as a side dish. THE BEST POTATO SALAD I HAVE EATED IN A LONG TIME. Even grandma's can pack it. I'll definitely be back! Keep it up.

I haven't been to you for a long time and I'm immediately pleasantly surprised at how cozy and beautiful it is! The waitresses are super quick and friendly and the food is proven to be good! Always worth a visit again.

So far, as a Cologne resident, I have always been very happy in your beer garden. As always, the food was good to very good. Unfortunately, the service was poor on my last visit. Sitting alone, I was hardly served. Your East Asian service force was a disaster. Instead of a pint of beer, I only got half a beer. Sauce totally slipped on the plate because it took over 5 minutes to bring the food to the right table. If I come again next year I will unfortunately have to insist on a different service person.

Been here a few times and the last one (Aug 24) was the worst. Service is good, beer is ok but food am afraid it just won't do! It was bad in so many ways that it is almost pointless to describe them. Worst of all, prices are over the head with a curry wurst at 12 euros, they have lost the plot!

Wonderful beer garden to sit in.

There was live music yesterday. The hut was full. Yesterday everything took a while, but the staff was consistently friendly, even though they really had to work hard. The food was good, the price was ok but unfortunately a lot was already out at 7:30 p.m. The atmosphere was great. ☺️ oh yes and the beer is of course very tasty and the beer menu is varied.

First of all: the food was very good. But the prices are very overpriced without a side salad. Unfortunately the service left a lot to be desired. We sat at the back entrance to the beer garden. After us came guests who sat down in the middle of the beer garden. These were served immediately. Since we still hadn't been served after 20 minutes, we asked the waitress to serve us. Not even an apology came. We also had to get the waitress to pay. Our table was simply never noticed. Unfortunately we were very disappointed with the service.

The ambience appears clean and has plenty of space. The yard was a pleasant size. We had an army meeting there and paid p.p. €25 for one dish, excluding drinks. The food was good but definitely not worth the money. The soft drink has almost no carbon dioxide. We also wanted to take the food with us and had to pay extra for the plastic packaging. The portion for cheese spaetzle was definitely too small. There were no menus on our tables so I think we paid double. There is little parking in the area

On Sunday there were five of us in the Winklerbräu beer garden. First of all, the staff was super friendly, nice, quick and attentive, 10 points for that. When you enter the brewery you will find a pleasantly furnished brewery 5 points. When we entered the beer garden, which is in a beautiful location, we were shocked. Unkept gravel, a mess of tables, some torn umbrellas. The grill station is totally dirty 1 point. We actually wanted to leave again. Then the food, roast pork with ready-made sauce and soggy dumplings, roulade totally overcooked. Pretzel dumplings dried out during sauerbraten. There are only 2 stars for that. What visitors couldn't complain about is the portion size, which is enough to fill you up. The selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes is also good. So please improve the quality of the food and prepare the beer garden, then next time there might be something. more points.

The beer garden certainly deserves 4 points, nice ambience, service was very friendly and quick. Since I love curry sausage with fries, I had to order one. I was very disappointed with what was served here. The Wurdt was very small and not hearty, I couldn't tell whether it was home-made fries. And for an incredibly high price of over €11. Since you can get what I consider to be the best curry sausage for under €9 in a very attractive beer garden (great innyard) on the same street, I have to rate the price/performance ratio with 1 point.

A wonderful beer garden with a very extensive menu with an excellent menu. Also for vegetarians and vegans. Very good and tasty food. As everywhere else, the service depends on the staff and ranges between good and very, very good. Depending on the weather and time of day with sunny and shady spots.

After 1.5 hours of waiting, the food finally arrived, but unfortunately it wasn't convincing at all.

Great restaurant with spacious garden and Bavarian food. Waiters are friendly and helpful to non locals! Also Dog friendly menu with dog Ice Cream was a nice surprise!

Highly Recommended; very good food, you always get a seat and the selection of vegetarian/vegan dishes is great! Food is price/performance okay - drinks cost around 5 euros, which is simply too much for a beer garden at a brewery.

Very tasty price are not cheap but it's ok. It was busy when we were there, which is probably why it took longer. We were thrilled with the service, no matter what we asked, he knew everything. He could even tell directly about the ice cream inventory.

It's just a brilliant and relaxing place to have a great tasting beer and food. If i were a local, i would have my own seat.

We were here with about 40 people. The team implemented everything extremely well and the price-performance ratio is absolutely amazing. The food was very tasty. I will come back :)

Our second visit to Winkler BrauWirt was fantastic, we first visited in 2008 and the place, food and friendly team are just as good. We hop to come back soon before too long!

Great beer garden - friendly young team - unfortunately the food isn't that perfect. Arriving at 4:30 p.m., we were happy to wait for the warm food. We would have been happy to wait the 5 minutes that the toilet would have needed to be warmed up (!) anyway! And if the crusty roast was promised to be crispy, that would have been even nicer. The dark sauce was much too creamy and thick for my partner, but I found it to be quite right and rare!😍 The salad had a bit too much oil, but was otherwise great - very fresh and just as tasty, including the dressing. But the young landlords and the equally young team still have a lot of time and certainly potential to develop further - I would like to come back here at some point.

Home-style cuisine and ambience with local furnishings as you wish. Schäuble with dumplings were fine. Local beer! There's not much missing... Service: Top! We were able to order 10 minutes before the kitchen closed (9 p.m.). The service was attentive with a friendly Bavarian dialect as it should be... Keep it up. Gladly again!

Good price-performance ratio. Very nice restaurant.

The crusty roast on “Josefi Day” was not edible for me. The lean meat was very hard and the roast was basically covered in lots of layers of fat. It's a shame, service and atmosphere were good.

Quiet on an early Friday afternoon for a late lunch but a proper German tavern/brewpub. Inside the walls of the Altstadt, this is a traditional pub with a vast menu of tasty meals and plenty of Winkler Bräu. Rustic interior and a large, well-lit bar. There is a Biergarten out back but even on a warm and sunny mid-March day it wasn’t open yet. Enjoyed the Fleischpflanzerl and half liter pours of their UrHell, Pils, and Zoigl. I never pass up a Zoigl in northern Bavaria. A must-visit when exploring beautiful Amberg!

We, the United Tradesmen in Leipzig, come to Amberg every year for the Josephine celebration. We always look forward to the Winkler Bräu.

Good home cooking and delicious beer, specially brewed by the brewery based in Amberg. Unfortunately I couldn't get enough for 20 euros. Here you should have easily served an additional potato dumpling or used a larger pig for the Schäufele.

Real Upper Palatinate specialties in a relaxed atmosphere

One of the few traditional inns in Amberg with very good Upper Palatinate cuisine, price/performance ratio is absolutely appropriate. Very friendly service! You immediately feel at home, you really enjoy going there!

Were there for the first time and loved it. We'll definitely come back when we have another trip to the Upper Palatinate. Wurdtsalat was great, recommended.

Food was good, nothing in particularly was standing out. I would say OK value. However, the service has much room for improvement. Waitress was made aware of items not ordered, but was added anyway to the bill. Second bill had items on it that were not ordered as well. Make sure to request the receipt! It was not offered, had to request after something seemed not right.

I was there for lunch. The restaurant was packed; half of Amberg seemed to be spending their lunch break there. This is no wonder because who these days still manages to offer a lunch menu with soup and a side salad for €8.90. Plus cheap drinks. Mom doesn't have to butter sandwiches anymore. Oh wait, am I bringing a worm in there 😮? Maybe I should have just had a beer at this time 🥴

Semmelknödel mit Champignonrahm. Sehr lecker - jedoch 13€ für ein Knödel ist meiner Meinung nach eine Frechheit. Wenigstens 2 Knödel - aber für eins? Ansonsten alles super, wie immer, daher auch 4 Sterne.

Slammed on tiny tiny Christmas and no reservation. Still found a way to seat us. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽. Food was good and served quickly. Always a good time when we are in town.

Tolles traditionelles Restaurant was mit der Zeit gegangen ist. Das Essen war sehr gut gewesen und der Service äußerst zuvorkommend. Die Preise sind vällug gerechtfertigt und im Vergleich zu anderen Wirtschaften eher günstiger. Man kann dieses Restaurant nur empfehlen

Sehr schönes, modern-uhrig gestaltetes Lokal mit schönen Biergarten im Hinterhof. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und sympathisch und das Essen schmeckt hervorragend. Die Portionen sind groß und die Preise sind auch in Ordnung! Hier wird auch auf Nachhaltigkeit, regionale Produkte und auf lokale Lieferanten geachtet. Ein sehr gutes Bier gibt es auch und das aus der eigenen Brauerei👍

Mega leckeres Essen und super nette Bedienung.

Wir waren leider sehr unzufrieden. Die vegetarischen Gerichte sind ausbaufähig. Das Risotto war nicht genießbar. Selbst die Nachspeise, Panna cotta, war sehr schlecht. Und die Weine waren sauer. Die Küche sollte keine Gerichte anbieten, die sie nicht können. Der Service war okay. Wir können es leider nicht weiterempfehlen, schade

Rustikales Speiselokal, habe nur was getrunken. Kann deshalb noch nicht viel berichten. Es waren sehr wenige Gäste im Lokal, aber trotzdem dauerte es ca. 15 Minuten bis dann endlich mal eine Bedienung kam, diese war dann aber freundlich und die Getränke kamen schnell.

Sehr schönes bayrisches Gasthaus, mit entsprechender Speisekarte. Das Ambiente ist modern aber wie man sich ein Wirtshaus vorstellt. Unser Essen war sehr lecker. Wenn ich in der Nähe bin, werde ich wieder hin gehen.

Ein echter Lichtblick in Amberg! Ochsenbackerl mit Knödel und Gemüse, sehr zart und sehr schmackhaft. Die Knödel bissfest und fein. Dazu ein frisch gezapftes Zoigl. Preise im Rahmen, gemessen am sonstigen Qualitätsniveau in Amberg ein sehr gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis.

Ein wirklich schöner Biergarten. Leckeres Bier, gutes Essen. Das Essen kam sehr schnell klar wird vorportioniert leider war das Essen nicht sonderlich heiß. Es war wirklich warm und echt lecker. Aber eben nicht heiß. Ich hatte den Sauerbraten Fleisch war wirklich gut die Knödel auch. Dazu gibt's semmelknödel wer Kartoffelknödel will muss diese extra bestellen;) ,die Soße schmeckte gut aber irgendwie nach fertig Soße. Die Bedienung war freundlich aber auf Grund des Andranges natürlich etwas gestresst . 4/5 ich komme wieder :)

Super Biergarten, sehr gut zusammengestellte Karte, da findet man immer was, tolles Personal und das zu angemessenen Preisen. Was will man mehr?
