The Schloderer Bräu makes a good first impression. Unfortunately that was it. We were able to order a Schäufle and a schnitzel after about 15 minutes of waiting. The waitresses left a lot of empty space and the tables were cleared very late. Unfortunately, the food was only brought after an hour when requested. This apparently stood longer because the sauce had already formed a skin and was only lukewarm. When I was finished eating, my wife's schnitzel arrived. The schnitzel was warmed in a deep fryer. I don't want to say anything more about that. Something positive at the end, my dog ​​got water.😊

I spontaneously stopped by Schloderer in Amberg on Saturday evening. I got a seat without a reservation. The food was good, and the service was quick and friendly. All evening specials were available, including roast pork shoulder and knuckle of pork. The ambiance is quite modern for a brewery, but fitting. Overall, very satisfied; I highly recommend it!

Went to the Bockbierfest at Schloderer yesterday. The Bock tastes weak - it's not drinkable, the normal beer doesn't taste like anything either. As a starter there was liver dumpling soup, which was only lukewarm. For dinner I ordered a natural schnitzel with bacon skewer and fried potatoes. The schnitzel was ok, the skewer was only briefly fried and was tough as a shoe sole. The fried potatoes were only fried on one side. All in all it didn't taste good at all. Here you can only order simple things (currywurst, schnitzel with fries). As a little tip, halve the menu and concentrate on a few dishes and make them good. I won't be coming back any time soon.

The food is an absolute disgrace, ready-made food out of the bag, it should have been grilled pork knuckle with Dunkelbiet sauce, it was cooked and not grilled, the sauce was something soggy, tasteless, with a lot of sauce thickener. The homemade coleslaw was probably already broken and tasted like plastic. The homemade potato salad from the ready-made can, like old and just sour. That with two meals. But the service was very friendly and wanted to give us a shot at our complaints. So we hope the chef will do what he learned again in the future, but he shouldn't cook anymore. Neither of us will definitely visit this beautiful restaurant again. The food was a complete mess. A very nice, rustic restaurant would be a shame.

The last time I was there there was no Schäufele or pork knuckle. Both are on the map. Shortly after ten you had to leave.

I was in this inn with four friends, but unfortunately we all agreed: “Once and never again.” The schnitzel with potato salad was a disappointment - the schnitzel itself was far too dry, and the potato salad tasted strongly of vinegar and was also dry. The onion roast was reasonably good, although the “medium” ordered was rather “rare”. However, the fried potatoes, which were really tasty, should be highlighted positively. The service was at least friendly, but unfortunately that alone isn't enough to convince us to visit again.

I had a great dinner experience here. The waiter was full of welcoming smiles and her English is good. There are plenty of seats both inside and outside the main hall. There is no parking 🅿️. Overall awesome experience.

This was my first time in this restaurant! It was clean and nicely decorated! We were warmly welcomed by the service staff and it stayed that way until we left. The food was good and plentiful! Good price ratio!

Once we've arrive to Amberg we were looking for a place to get some dinner - and we've found a few steps from the hotel din beerhouse - looking at the menu displayed on the street the we decided to stay. Location - on the Rathaus street ( the street of the town hall, central in Amberg) - with 2 levels - so a very good seating capacity - a nicely decorated place ( typical brewery "environment" , and with an open terrace and courtyard ( during the warmer season I bet it is great to sit outside). Service - very fast and professional , the waitress was speaking English ( and on the menu is available in English too , should you need it) Food - a lot good options on it , beef , poultry pork , I've chosen duck breast with gravy and dumplings - a very good from my perspective, the duck was cooked right, and the gravy was tasty ( maybe with a hint of citrus/orange) ... overall a very good match a tasty plate and nothing to complain about the quantity. Everybody at the table was very happy with their choices. Their beer selection is also very good - so for me it was exactly what I've been looking for. Prices - I have to say , very decent and a very good price to quality ratio ... and they take card - so you don't have to worry about carrying cash. In conclusion , a very good spot, for sure when I'm back in Amberg I will pay them a visit again, I recommend you try this place.

Unfortunately the kitchen has become very poor. We used to go to Schloderer a few times and were always satisfied. A few months ago we were there again after a long time and unfortunately the food was relatively bland (cheese spaetzle was practically tasteless and the soup was missing salt). Today we gave it another chance and unfortunately we weren't really satisfied either. Although the fried potatoes with the lumberjack steak were quite good, the steak itself was unfortunately not seasoned and a bit too medium, and it was also very fatty. The turkey schnitzel was good, but the fries were completely tasteless and not seasoned. Too bad! The service is quick and attentive and the ambience is nice. Given the price-performance ratio, there are definitely better pubs in Amberg.

Geschäftlich hier mit einigen Kollegen zu Abend gegessen. Wir hatten Oberpfalz Pfandl und Schäuferle, zum Preis von je rund 15 Euro. Die Portionen waren sehr üppig und der Geschmack sehr gut. Die anvisierte Nachspreise musste ausfallen da wir vom Hauptgang randvoll waren. Eine sehr gute Adresse für ein gut bürgerliches Essen zum guten Preis.

Went to eat again after 8 years. We can only recommend it, great food, super fast service. We will now go back to eat more often.

Typical local brewery with good beer and hearty cuisine. What should be emphasized is the good price-performance ratio, you get something for your money and our food also tasted good. The ambience is always a matter of taste, I didn't find it that comfortable, we sat in a not so nice corner near the spiral staircase due to a lack of alternatives and it could have been a bit warmer there on a cold winter day.

Nice restaurant...We all ate Schäufele. All four people had tough meat. Maybe it should have stayed in the oven for another 30 minutes. Therefore only three stars.

Wir waren mit einer kleinen Gruppe als Familie beim Schloderer. Die Schweinshaxe war ok. Knusprig und frisch. Und der Beilagensalat kam gut an. Die Roulade war auch gut. Die Schweinerippchen kommen in einer großen Portion. Leider war der Kartoffelsalat fad, die Goulaschsuppe schmeckt als wäre sie gekauft (nicht selbst gemacht) und die Kartoffelwedges als Beilage der Rippchen kommen aus der Tiefkühltüte. Es wäre schöner, wenn es weniger Gerichte gäbe, die dafür dann aber allesamt selbst gekocht wären. Der Service war gut.

Schlosserei is consistently good cuisine and pleasant service - of course it can be better in Amberg, but the price-performance ratio is right here Unfortunately the service staff was a bit strange in the upper area on December 26th at noon. However, we were served even more nicely downstairs.

14€ for a schnitzel is normal these days, but when a schnitzel the size of your hand is served with around 20 fries, that's ridiculous. Children's portion! When asked about this, the waitress (very friendly!) told me that she was also surprised, she wanted to ask the boss, but he was probably already counting the money

Ate venison goulash. If you know pulled pork: The goulash was like pulled deer. Delicious.

I wouldn't normally go to this place to eat, but I still ended up there by chance. It's a nice rustic atmosphere and looks great! You don't see it every day. The starter was a brewery soup, which I actually expected a little more from. A relatively mediocre plate of soup and the bread was rock hard. The main course was the roulade with spaetzle and red cabbage. On the positive side, it tasted good. Unfortunately the portion was really, really small. I had never seen such a small and meagerly filled roulade in my life! I ordered the chocolate cake for dessert. Yes, well, it was a bit dry. The taste is quite okay. I think this was the best of what I ordered. Drinks are totally inflexible. There you are bound to what is firmly entered into the dispensing computer. Special requests cannot therefore be implemented. In total I had eaten for €45, but I wasn't full. The three of us then drove to McDonalds and ate a little something there. In summary, I would have expected a little more. The portions are quite small and the price is excessive for the size. I think I would have had to spend at least €60 there to get full. In my opinion it's too expensive for one person.

We went for dinner on a Sunday lunch and were immediately greeted very warmly. The drinks also came very quickly, when the dishes came we noticed that the food wasn't very hot than it should be. It must have been a long time before the food arrived on the first floor and at our table. The service did its best but we weren't impressed with the kitchen. Soup lukewarm, food lukewarm. The waitress said she would let the kitchen know. She was always friendly and accommodating, unfortunately that ruins the kitchen.

This is really nice restaurant. The rustic atmosphere and old pictures on the walls make the place so enjoyable you don't want to leave. The food is really good! I do suggest reservations on the weekend. It does get busy. I highly recommend this place if your coming with a large group. There is plenty of seating and large tables too sit at. Parking can be hard to find.

We were in Amberg visiting family. Service was great, beer was as expected… delish, and the food was tasty. Family atmosphere for sure. We had a great experience. Definitely worth visiting.

Essen zu 3..1 schweinebraten, 1 Schäuferl und einen gemischten Teller mit Rippchen, eine Scheibe Schweinebraten, Knödel und Sauerkraut..wir waren alle doch recht enttäuscht..keinerlei Geschmack, weder Fleisch noch Biersoße waren zum Essen.. ging alles gesamt zur Hälfte zurück.. die leberknödelsuppe hat man auch vergessen können.. alles in allem war das Essen durchwegs enttäuschend und für insgesamt € 56,00 den Preis absolut nicht gerecht..war gedacht als Testessen für Weihnachten.. suchen uns sehr gerne eine andere Lokalität… das Risiko, wieder so hereinzufallen ist uns zu groß..in Bayern sagt man ja.. wenn der Schweinebraten schmeckt, passt auch das Andere.. einziger Lichtblick war das Bier..

We are with you this evening, Saturday September 28th, 2024, for our regulars' table of the FCN Friends Hirschau, and we can say with a clear conscience that you gave us a wonderful day. Our service person Jasmin was simply great, she consistently implemented our wishes, which is no longer a matter of course these days. A big compliment also goes to the kitchen team, the food was served at the same time (+-) within a minute and, above all, the steaks were cooked perfectly as requested. Of course, I have two points of criticism: the fries could have used a minute more in the deep fryer, and the sauce for the roast pork was very dominantly seasoned with caraway (sometimes less is more). Otherwise, we, the FCN friends, enjoyed a wonderful evening with a perfect price-performance ratio and look forward to seeing you again.

One of the few remaining brewery inns. And hopefully this gem will last for a long time! The own beer is very good. Our tarte flambée (actually we had already eaten it) was excellent! And the chocolate cake... The fact that we were lucky enough to be able to hear a good live musician yesterday (we were here twice over the weekend) rounded off the whole weekend. We will be happy to come back here.

The tour of the brewery on Saturday was a complete success, the group was very enthusiastic and the tasting of the beers was very well received. You should definitely book an appointment.

Great atmosphere, but too loud with many guests. Very extensive menu, but a bit of class is lost in the sheer volume. Beer is of course a matter of taste, but the house beers were not very popular with our group (18 people).

The first time I was disappointed. The food wasn't really tasty, Kässpatzen were tasteless and the pork fillets weren't tender. The dark beer was more like an IPA with a weird aftertaste. The second time the rib-eye steak tasted good but wasn't medium rare as ordered. But it was because it was very flat. Don't cut so wide and flat, then it will be better. I would actually only give the food 3.5 stars, but unfortunately that's not possible. The atmosphere is very pleasant.

We ordered ribs with wedge potatoes and they didn't taste good at all, the ribs were dry and very hard and the wedge potatoes were almost raw and not fried at all. Things used to be much better. I'm very disappointed

Mitten in der Stadt am Marktplatz mit kleinem Innenhof und Empore, wir hatten Spanferkel und Bratwürstel und dazu noch Bier, das uns aber nicht richtig geschmeckt hat, uns war es etwas zu sauer. Die Preise sind unglaublich günstig.

Nice to sit outside. The entire inner courtyard including the “gallery” is part of it. I had a good and very filling Schäuferl. The most interesting thing, however, was the dessert: fried pretzels with vanilla ice cream. We just had to try it. And what can I say? It was quite good. I'll try it at home too.

Unfortunately the beer did not meet our expectations. Extremely different, strange taste in our opinion, even in the Radler. Food, schnitzel with fried potatoes and knuckle, was ok, a little salty... Service attentive and friendly.

On the recommendation of our hotel, we went there for dinner with 3 other guests. That was a great tip, our service person was extremely funny and very attentive, the food was really great, the beer sauce for the roast suckling pig was a poem, as was the roast and the dumplings. I highly recommend eating there.
