We were in Amberg visiting family. Service was great, beer was as expected… delish, and the food was tasty. Family atmosphere for sure. We had a great experience. Definitely worth visiting.

Delicious food in a very nice atmosphere. We had reserved. That was a good thing too. In no time all the tables were occupied. The service was attentive, quick and friendly. The food delicious. We had Schäufele and Oberpfälzer plates. We'd love to come back.

Home-made beer is served with good German food (if you want it). The friendly staff and brewery tours make this place stand out from many others. Very happy again

Beer was very tasty. Unfortunately I didn't like the food. Meatballs were very greasy and potato salad was very sour from vinegar. It was just a matter of taste. Service very good, ambience too.

Essen zu 3..1 schweinebraten, 1 Schäuferl und einen gemischten Teller mit Rippchen, eine Scheibe Schweinebraten, Knödel und Sauerkraut..wir waren alle doch recht enttäuscht..keinerlei Geschmack, weder Fleisch noch Biersoße waren zum Essen.. ging alles gesamt zur Hälfte zurück.. die leberknödelsuppe hat man auch vergessen können.. alles in allem war das Essen durchwegs enttäuschend und für insgesamt € 56,00 den Preis absolut nicht gerecht..war gedacht als Testessen für Weihnachten.. suchen uns sehr gerne eine andere Lokalität… das Risiko, wieder so hereinzufallen ist uns zu groß..in Bayern sagt man ja.. wenn der Schweinebraten schmeckt, passt auch das Andere.. einziger Lichtblick war das Bier..

We are with you this evening, Saturday September 28th, 2024, for our regulars' table of the FCN Friends Hirschau, and we can say with a clear conscience that you gave us a wonderful day. Our service person Jasmin was simply great, she consistently implemented our wishes, which is no longer a matter of course these days. A big compliment also goes to the kitchen team, the food was served at the same time (+-) within a minute and, above all, the steaks were cooked perfectly as requested. Of course, I have two points of criticism: the fries could have used a minute more in the deep fryer, and the sauce for the roast pork was very dominantly seasoned with caraway (sometimes less is more). Otherwise, we, the FCN friends, enjoyed a wonderful evening with a perfect price-performance ratio and look forward to seeing you again.

One of the few remaining brewery inns. And hopefully this gem will last for a long time! The own beer is very good. Our tarte flambée (actually we had already eaten it) was excellent! And the chocolate cake... The fact that we were lucky enough to be able to hear a good live musician yesterday (we were here twice over the weekend) rounded off the whole weekend. We will be happy to come back here.

The tour of the brewery on Saturday was a complete success, the group was very enthusiastic and the tasting of the beers was very well received. You should definitely book an appointment.

We were at Schloderer Bräu with a group of 8 people. We were all very enthusiastic about the dishes that everyone ordered. At this point, many thanks again to the very nice and attentive waitress who served us. Conclusion: It couldn't be better.

Great atmosphere, but too loud with many guests. Very extensive menu, but a bit of class is lost in the sheer volume. Beer is of course a matter of taste, but the house beers were not very popular with our group (18 people).

The first time I was disappointed. The food wasn't really tasty, Kässpatzen were tasteless and the pork fillets weren't tender. The dark beer was more like an IPA with a weird aftertaste. The second time the rib-eye steak tasted good but wasn't medium rare as ordered. But it was because it was very flat. Don't cut so wide and flat, then it will be better. I would actually only give the food 3.5 stars, but unfortunately that's not possible. The atmosphere is very pleasant.

We ordered ribs with wedge potatoes and they didn't taste good at all, the ribs were dry and very hard and the wedge potatoes were almost raw and not fried at all. Things used to be much better. I'm very disappointed

Super leckeres Essen, tolle Tagesgerichte zudem sehr empfehlenswert, super nettes Personal, Preis Leistung für die Qualität und den Charme des Lokales mit integrierter Brauerei zu 100% angemessen.

Mitten in der Stadt am Marktplatz mit kleinem Innenhof und Empore, wir hatten Spanferkel und Bratwürstel und dazu noch Bier, das uns aber nicht richtig geschmeckt hat, uns war es etwas zu sauer. Die Preise sind unglaublich günstig.

Nice to sit outside. The entire inner courtyard including the “gallery” is part of it. I had a good and very filling Schäuferl. The most interesting thing, however, was the dessert: fried pretzels with vanilla ice cream. We just had to try it. And what can I say? It was quite good. I'll try it at home too.

Unfortunately the beer did not meet our expectations. Extremely different, strange taste in our opinion, even in the Radler. Food, schnitzel with fried potatoes and knuckle, was ok, a little salty... Service attentive and friendly.

Been here a few times and the Food has been above expectations every time. A must Try. Outside seating is Amazing during summer months!

On the recommendation of our hotel, we went there for dinner with 3 other guests. That was a great tip, our service person was extremely funny and very attentive, the food was really great, the beer sauce for the roast suckling pig was a poem, as was the roast and the dumplings. I highly recommend eating there.

Just wow! An old manor house or rather a mansion, converted into a two-story (ground floor + upper floor) restaurant with a huge awning over the inner courtyard. Ambiance: 5 stars. There is also a large selection of dishes, including of course delicious Bavarian cuisine (with dark beer sauce) as well as some standard meals (e.g. schnitzel). I can highly recommend the suckling pig and beer goulash, as well as the dumplings and spaetzle served with them. 5 stars are definitely appropriate here. Our service consisted of a young lady with silver hair who immediately responded to all of my nastiness (yes, cheekiness wins) with humor and was really very accommodating. At no point was she annoyed or rushed - quite the opposite. 5 Stars! And the price was also completely fair. I know that from Frankfurt a. M. completely different. 12 euros for a portion of suckling pig with silk dumpling - perfect. The men's sanitary rooms were clean and tidy. You'll be happy to come back here. Thank you!

It's OK. Rather touristy, therefore points deducted. Food was good but not great. Unfortunately the light was stale/lacked carbon dioxide. The dark one was pleasantly drinkable. The service wasn't really on point, but it was nice.

We celebrated on Saturday with 14 people. A reservation was advisable given the large number of people. With a lot of luck you can also spontaneously find places. There are outdoor and indoor spaces. The staff on site is very helpful. Our service was very quick. So we all had food at the same time. Just as it should be. Although our waitress was responsible for several guests. Never ran out of drinks. You could always reorder things. Which didn't take long to arrive. A clear recommendation 👍🏼

Der Schloderer hat eine gutbürgerliche Küche mit selbst gebrautem Bier. Mein Rinderschnitzel war sehr zart und lecker und es gab reichlich Beilagen. Alles war sehr appetitlich und liebevoll angerichtet. Wir saßen im Innnenhof und hatten eine freundliche und flotte Bedienung. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut.

Was there with a group of 18 people (registered). When ordering drinks, we were informed of a technical defect and that there would be delays. We didn't notice anything about it. The service was simply great. Great food and served to everyone at the same time. Thanks to our friendly and cheerful waitress Anna.

Very nice brewery, super delicious food. We really enjoy going there. The courtyard is also nice to sit in. I would always recommend a reservation. Only the new “soup plates” are not suitable for certain dishes. In addition to iced coffee, the introduction of iced chocolate should also be reconsidered.

Today we were eating at Schloderer Bräu with two dogs. Drinks and food were brought to the table very quickly and there was also a bowl of water for our dogs. Food was very good and plentiful. Price / offer: Very good. Next time we would like to come back with our dogs. 😊

My wife and I went to Schloder Bräu for dinner. The memory card is very extensive, but the quality left something to be desired when it came to my food. I had pork medallions that were totally dry due to the long roasting time, a champion cream sauce in which I had to look for the champions and also very thin in which the cream was missing. The garlic carrots "Parisian carrots" (so called because they are all round and the same size), were either from a can or from a jar, and ultimately hardly seasoned. The cheese spaetzle that was served as a filling side dish didn't deserve the word spaetzle. To be honest, it was a flour mush and I missed the eggs in the dough. Everything was arranged in a large round salad bowl. It was therefore difficult to cut the dry meat properly. The food came out of the kitchen quickly, but the taste and presentation were lackluster. The waitress who I had told about my complaint about the food passed it on to the two cooks who were standing at the food counter (I could see this from where I was sitting). But the reaction was just a tired smile. As a chef and master chef, I can afford to provide such expertise. That's why, from my experience, I can't recommend Schloderer Bräu.

Very tasty and inexpensive food and drink.

Nice place to have dinner, good atmosphere. The rack of ribs were good but wished they'd offer bbq sauce. They appeared to have some type of sauce on them. Good taste and fall off the bone tender and juicy. They did serve a cup, yes literally a cup of ketchup, I guess for the wedges. See the ladle? The waitress was very attentive with no issues. They split the check here which is good for our party of 5. Bathroom is in the basement down a steep spiral staircase so be careful going down.

Really original economy, very friendly service and - very remarkable - there is something to eat in the middle of the afternoon!

The food was just edible; My wife and I both had beer brewer goulash with spaetzle. Unfortunately the whole thing was a bit too salty. The chef is probably newly in love. Our friend who made a reservation for us had wild salmon with asparagus. But that wasn't wild salmon, but salmon trout. Absolute no-go: despite having a reservation, we got a table at the back right next to the toilets. When we asked if we could please get another table, we just said everything was reserved. We were there at 6:30 p.m. on May 18, 2024 and when we left there was still plenty of space available. Guys, didn't you feel like it or did you just think these three people wouldn't complain anyway? Conclusion: Unfortunately, we will not recommend it to anyone.

It is a nice place to try some bavarian specialties. I took a pork steak with fried potatoes and salad and it was delicious. They have an inhouse brewery - which makes the beer really tasty - I tried wheat beer - very good. Prices are reasonable.

We didn't have to wait long until the friendly waitress came to take our order. Soon she came back with our drinks. After a while she said she would ask about our ice cream. Then she showed up with our ice cream. When she stopped by us after serving a few times and asked us if everything was okay with us. She also came quickly to pay. All in all, very friendly and fast staff. The beer garden is very cozy. I can only recommend. 👍

A very cozy inn decorated in a rustic style. The staff and service were very good and left nothing to be desired. The food is very tasty and more than enough. The price/performance ratio is really great and is rarely found in this form these days. It is a very good inn with home-style cooking and we can only recommend a visit.
