Wonderful stay – absolutely recommended! We had a great stay at this hotel! We were warmly welcomed at check-in and the staff was very helpful and courteous throughout our stay. The rooms, modernized old building, are clean and comfortable. We would particularly like to highlight the breakfast: fresh, varied and with great attention to detail, as well as the 3-course daily menu at a really fair price (also vegetarian). The location of the hotel is ideal, everything is within walking distance. We can fully recommend this hotel!

Very nice restaurant and very nice staff. Kässpätzle wasn't on the menu at the moment - and yet it was there. That was great.

A pub like you rarely see anymore and the landlord is also a real original.

Very unpleasant guy with long hair. We were greeted warmly by the ladies and asked for a free table. Due to a misunderstanding - another guest asked for a table at the same time - a table for four was initially promised to both parties. We then agreed to sit together, in consultation with the service staff. A man with long hair then intervened and shouted that he decides who sits in this restaurant and that the four of us weren't allowed to sit there. He seemed very stressed and treated both staff and guests unfriendly. Otherwise a nice restaurant with good food.

The Haldenhof is a day-trip restaurant with plenty of seating and a great view of the lake. The service was polite, even though the waitresses were extremely busy. The food was OK. My salad with chicken strips (more like medallions) was good. The canned chicken schnitzel was good... the spaetzle wasn't so tasty... the cheesecake was really not good; dry, overbaked, and shrunken (let me say this as a former master baker and pastry chef). The coffee was delicious. The prices are on the higher end for Germany, but costs are constantly rising for restaurants...

Unfortunately we didn't even get a chance to sit down. After I asked if we could eat and was told that we were 4 adults, 3 children and 2 small children, the friendliness was over. Left lying there and the only child seat taken away with the note that there is only one anyway. Then we left. Too bad. It probably wasn't the right weekend to eat Greek. I have rarely experienced so much unfriendliness from Greeks. They are probably very successful in this area or don't need another customer anymore. The Italian competitors are the winners for us. Had great experiences. THIS IS THE ORIGINAL REVIEW. WHERE IS THE DIFFERENCE IN HERE, PLEASE? For me there is only one option. Take a detour from this restaurant. Very unfriendly and in retrospect, or after 3 years, simply told the untruth on Google and Google blocked my review. Great. Doesn't help, unfriendly remains unfriendly.
