Hotel Seegarten in Überlingen

A cozy hotel with a special atmosphere. I had a single room with a lake view. I felt very welcome traveling alone with my dog. I'd love to stay there again!

I would give the service staff and the location 10 stars; the only downside is the parking situation. Nevertheless, I would book again immediately if I wanted to vacation on Lake Constance. Highly recommended!

We stayed there for two weeks on vacation, and the hotel was very clean, with friendly staff, good food, a more than excellent breakfast, and very nice owners. We've booked again for next year. We were very satisfied.

I can only fully confirm everything positive written about the Hotel Seegarten in the reviews! The location directly on the Lake Constance promenade is stunningly beautiful. The value for money is excellent. I had a single room with a balcony overlooking the lake and was absolutely thrilled! The room itself is quite spacious for a single room, especially the bed, which was wider than I've experienced in other hotels as a solo traveler. The view of Lake Constance couldn't be more beautiful. The outdoor area is perfect for enjoying the outdoors; we had breakfast outside every day, overlooking Lake Constance. You can hardly start the day more beautifully. You receive an "order form" for breakfast upon arrival to fill out, and the next morning, your desired items (rolls, sausage, cheese) are served beautifully arranged on a platter. If you would like a different roll or more rolls, for example, there is another "order form" on the table every morning: simply check the boxes and hand them in at reception. The reception at the hotel was extremely friendly. The parking situation is, of course, a bit complicated due to the hotel's location. We couldn't immediately find the short-term parking space described in the email, so we drove to a parking garage and walked to the hotel. They offered to pick up our luggage with a shuttle bus. Great service, then! We did pick up the wrong parking garage than the one described in the email, but nevertheless, we weren't charged the "surcharge"; instead, they deducted the price we would have had to pay in the "correct" parking garage. Again: great service! The "noise level" from the restaurant area below the room/balcony is hardly disturbing; it closes around 11:00 PM at the latest. The entire staff was extremely friendly. Overall, I highly recommend the Hotel Seegarten to everyone!

Highly recommended! Great location, sensational breakfast. Parking is a bit tricky (public parking garage a bit far away), but it's centrally located and on the water.

How can they inflate prices so much???? They can also overdo it!!!!!!! Charging €9 for a mineral water and a chocolate ice cream is completely unacceptable! That was one reason for us to stop going there!

Had a room with a lake view. Simply wonderful. We were there a second time in June due to my wife's rehabilitation. We're going back together next year. The price/performance ratio is great. I recommend everyone to have breakfast there; the staff is friendly and accommodating. We were there as a couple for the second time this year. Just like last year, it's a solid 5 stars.

The service was fast and friendly. The pot of coffee came with a piece of cake: rhubarb meringue. Unfortunately, there wasn't much rhubarb in or on top. A shame. It was a fairly large piece of cake, though. It was delicious.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Seegarten. The location right on the lake promenade and the magnificent view of Lake Constance are unique! The breakfast is very plentiful and good! The staff is very friendly, helpful, and competent! We would love to come back!!

We had lunch. Surprisingly, we also got soup and dessert. 😊The staff were very attentive and friendly.

We spontaneously booked there for the first time. We got an upgrade to another room on site. Very nice service. The 2 room room was very nice with a great view. The hotel has a fantastic location right on the lake. The restaurant offers a very great breakfast and very good food all day long with a nice outdoor area. The staff was very friendly. We were very satisfied and would like to come back.

We only ate in the restaurant and cannot recommend the food. Lunch wasn't good: pikeperch fillet with potato gratin was lukewarm and the gratin was made with coconut milk and curry, as well as a lot of broth flavor, the pikeperch was far too dry. The meat of the classic onion roast was good, but the spaetzle with sauce was inedible and was completely gone (they tasted like they had been pulled through old fat) and the fried onions also tasted old and rotten. But the service was good.

Wonderful stay – absolutely recommended! We had a great stay at this hotel! We were warmly welcomed at check-in and the staff was very helpful and courteous throughout our stay. The rooms, modernized old building, are clean and comfortable. We would particularly like to highlight the breakfast: fresh, varied and with great attention to detail, as well as the 3-course daily menu at a really fair price (also vegetarian). The location of the hotel is ideal, everything is within walking distance. We can fully recommend this hotel!

Disappointing: The invoice amount was €20.90, card payments are only accepted for orders over €30. I had to leave the place, go to the ATM and then pay with cash...

**Disappointing Treatment of Customers** I am very disappointed with the treatment of customers in this café. An elderly lady was extremely unfriendly and reacted very rudely to my question about debit card payments. Her comment, "You have no idea how expensive that is," was completely uncalled for. We just wanted to enjoy coffee and cake, but we were told that debit card payments were only possible for amounts over €30. This is completely incomprehensible in this day and age. The lady continued to insult us even as we left the café. And all because I pointed out that it was outdated. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this café and will avoid it in the future.

Leckeres Essen und freundliches Personal. Die Lage direkt an der Promenade ist natürlich perfekt. Auf der Karte gibt es Gerichte aus Asien Deutschland und auch aus der mediterranen Küche. Das kann im ersten Moment etwas verwirrend wirken. Das Restaurant setzt die Gerichte aber super um und man kann hier seinem Gaumen mal was anderes bieten.

We were here to visit the restaurant, I can't say anything about the hotel. The food was really delicious and of high quality. Depending on the location, the prices here are a little higher but still reasonable for “lake conditions”. The service was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, our waiter couldn't be found for a long time, which is why the payment process was slightly delayed. But overall not bad. If you want to eat good German food with a perfect view of Lake Constance, this is the place for you

Unfortunately the restaurant didn't convince us. The menu is extremely boring and offers little variety. In addition, the terrace is much too narrow, which makes staying there uncomfortable. The selection of dishes also leaves a lot to be desired - there are hardly any options, so you quickly feel limited. Overall the experience was rather disappointing.

We chose the hotel based on proximity to the lake and price. The hotel staff was super friendly, they took us to the hotel parking lot and on the way back they picked us up with an electric stroller. The breakfast was super good, they put a lot of food and you leave very well eaten.

A year ago I went for coffee and cake with a friend, both of which were very good. The location and friendliness of the employees are positive. That's why I suggested having lunch there, totaling 45.30 including drinks. (Card payment from 30.00 and tips are not possible). My husband had the beef rollade lunch menu: half of it, with a little side dish of potatoes/red cabbage, beautifully presented. Flädle soup and surprise dessert at around 20.00. I ordered a soup at around 9.00 and a cake. The mysterious dessert turned out to be jelly, was inedible and the asparagus soup was a waste at 8.90. Actually, everything was missing, especially salt - the soup from the lunch menu had too much spice. It also tasted and looked like warm milk with a few pieces of asparagus (not a stalk in total, a few breadcrumbs) inside. The cake was fresh and good. Unfortunately no recommendations, except for eating cake. It doesn't have to be a lot or cheap. We are also willing to spend money on good food. This time there was little, mostly not tasty but expensive.

We were v. 18.-28.4.24 here. The location on the promenade right on the lake is simply great. Coffee and cake outdoors with a view over the lake to the Swiss mountains. Our room on the 4th floor facing the lake was fantastic. The staff were consistently top notch. The owners, the White family, were very friendly and accommodating. Thank you very much for that.

The hotel is very centrally located and the room was recently renovated and clean. All employees were extremely friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was rich and beautifully served. We can recommend the hotel and would be happy to come back.

This hotel is highly recommended. I had a room with a balcony facing the lake and was able to enjoy the beautiful view. The proximity to the city, the promenade and also the train station is very practical. The breakfast, which was served at the table, was exceptionally good and was particularly rich and varied. I found the service to be very good, extremely friendly and uncomplicated. My single room, small but nicely furnished, was very clean and had a comfortable bed. I would be happy to come back to this well-kept hotel.

Service in the restaurant 6-minus with stars. Unfortunately, no negative points can be awarded. Despite several requests, we had to wait forever. Ordering 4 coffees and 3 cakes was a challenge for the waitress. The prices are absolutely exorbitant. Never again!!!

Payment by card is only possible from 30 euros. 3 cappuccinos and 3 cakes cost 28.50 euros. This means cash payment. Waiter took the 30 euros and didn't give any money back. There was no bill. Very very bad service. Cappuccino and cake tasted ok.

Personal freundlich und zuvorkommend, unser Hund durfte mit rein. Das Essen war okay. Eine merkwürdige Speisekarte. Hier finden Sie italienisches Essen, asiatisches Essen, deutsches Essen, sehr merkwürdig. Teller sehen schön arrangiert aus. Allerdings war mein Thai Ente mit süßsauer Sauce, eher süß und kaum Säure. Einfach zu süß. Hähnchen Roulade war okay.

Wir waren heute zum Abendessen dort.Die Lage ist wunderschön an der Promenade.Wir wurden schnell und freundlich bedient.Das Essen hat uns sehr, sehr gut geschmeckt wir hatten ein vegetarisches und ein Gericht mit Fleisch. Wir können das Restaurant sehr empfehlen!

Perfect location in Überlingen, very nice coffee garden, the staff in the restaurant is very friendly and competent, the food is upscale and very good. The prices of course too, but always happy, clear recommendation.

The lake view from the balcony is phenomenal! The service is great! Vegan breakfast platter possible. There is a restaurant downstairs. Gladly again!

Abendessen mit Sonnenuntergang.. Sehr lecker

Das Restaurant ist direkt an der Uferpromenade am Bodensee. Man hat also beim Essen einen sehr schönen Blick auf den See. Das Essen war wirklich gut, der Service war freundlich. Beim Essen vom Zander Filet mit Kartoffelgratin, gab es große, gekochte und gebratene Kartoffeln, beim Kartoffelgratin versteht manch einer bestimmt etwas anderes. Leider Punkte abgezogen, da man doch lange warten musste, bis man wieder bedient wurde oder bezahlen konnte.

Wir genossen im Hotel Seegarten einen Kurzurlaub.Bis auf das Parken liegt das Hotel optimal, direkt an der Promenade, wenige Schritte zur Stadtmitte und dem Hafen. Unser Zimmer in der 3. Etage mit Balkon und herrlicher Seesicht ,sehr sauber und modern, mit Minibar und Kaffeemaschine. Nach schlechten Erfahrungen mit Hotelbetten, sind die komfortablen Betten im Hotel Seegarten lobenswert. Uns gefiel, dass das Frühstück am Tisch serviert wurde und man sich nicht am Buffet anstellen musste. Das Personal war im Hotel und Restaurant / Café sehr freundlich und professionell. Wir können das Hotel gerne weiter empfehlen und werden uns dort bestimmt wieder mal im Urlaub verwöhnen lassen.

Das Hotel ist zu empfehlen. Außer, die Chefin hat einen schlechten Tag. Hatten diese Woche von Montag bis Freitag gebucht für 199€ das Doppelzimmer. Bereits das fünfte Mal in diesem Hotel gewesen. Am Dienstag checkten wir aus und zahlten 500€ Stornogebühren. Bislang hat es mit laxtosefreiem Aufschnittkäse immer geklappt. Die Frühstückskarte wurde am Vortag entsprechen ausgefüllt. So wie mehrere Male zuvor wurde die Käseaufschnitt Platte mit Stern versehen. Darunter lactosefrei. Die Servicekraft brachte unser Frühstück. Als meine Freundin dann vorsichtshalber nachfragte, ob der Schnittkäse auch lactosefrei sei, mußte die Servicekraft zurück in die Küche um nachzufragen. Zwischenzeitlich kam auch die Chefin des Hauses mit ihrem Auto, eilig. Kurz darauf stand sie bei uns am Frühstückstisch und war gleich unfreundlich. Sie würde lactosefrei Ware nicht mehr kaufen. Dies würde hinterher eh wieder weggeschmissen. Dann ging sie. Kurz darauf wurde die lactosefreie Butter gebracht. Eigentlich ging es nur um den Käseaufschnitt, daß meine Freundin bis zum Mittagessen eine Grundlage hatte. Somit war eigentlich der Kurzurlaub zum Geburtstag meiner Freundin erledigt. Die Chefin bot dann, als wir auscheckten an, den Käseaufschnitt für die Tage ausnahmsweise zu besorgen. Doch aufgrund der Verhaltensweise der Chefin hatte sich der Aufenthalt erledigt.

Heute zum Sushi Essen in den Seegarten. Wir waren positiv überrascht. Gute Qualität, echt lecker.

Das Lokal liegt direkt am Wasser und bereiten eine schöne Aussicht. Bedienung ist nett und freundlich. Leider gibt es nur eine kleine Auswahl von Eisbechern und diese sind eher etwas speziell. Dennoch schmeckt das Eis wirklich fruchtig und selbst gemacht von einer Firmer aus der Schweiz. Der Haselnussbecher war nicht mein Fall, aber war dennoch lecker. Das Schokoladeneis war wirklich Schokoladig und hat irgendwie nach Belgische Schokolade geschmeckt. Also für wirkliche schokoladenfans wäre dieses Eis wirklich empfehlenswert. Der Apfel-Zimtschmand Kuchen war nicht ganz so meins, denn ohne den Schmand hatte ich es besser gefunden. Der Apfelteil war wirklich lecker. Die Preise waren durch das Hotel etwas angehoben und bei der Eisschokolade 8,50€ eher überraschend, aber dafür fanden wir wieder den Kuchen zu den anderen Preisen billig mit 4,40€. Die Eisbrecher haben auch schon so um die 10€ gekostet. Dennoch kann man dort schön eine Nachmittag mit Kuchen und Kaffee verbringen.

Lokal liegt gut an der Promenade in Überlingen, wir haben nur etwas getrunken, Preise der Getränke zu hoch, waren enttäuscht.

Wir waren mit Freunden im Restaurant Seegarten. Das Essen und der Service waren sehr gut. Wir kommen wieder.

Kamen mit unserem Hund hier vorbei und sind eingekehrt. Sehr guter Kaffee, ganz tolles Personal und absolut hundefreundlich. Fühlten uns rundum wohl und gut aufgehoben hier ☺️

Unglaublich nettes Personal mit einem sehr guten Service

Der Biergarten ist schön groß und schattig. Man kann da sehr gut draußen unter den Kastanien Bäumen sitzen. Der Service war bei unserer Bedienung schlecht. Es wurden ein paar Bestellungen komplett falsch gebracht, einige dagegen gar nicht. Meine Freundin durfte über 30 Minuten auf eine Flasche Wasser warten, obwohl wir es immer wieder reklamiert hatten.

Wir hatten das Glück kurzfristig bei schönem Wetter ein paar Tage buchen zu können (verständlicherweise sehr gute Auslastung). Wir waren rundum zufrieden. Das Personal angefangen von den Mitarbeitern der Rezeption, die Servicemitarbeiterinnen, jeder sehr zuvorkommend, hilfsbereit. Man merkt, dass das Haus gut "geführt" wird, Hand in Hand und auf eine sehr sympathische Art. Wir werden jederzeit im Bekanntenkreis das Haus weiterempfehlen und gerne wiederkommen.
