The food is down-to-earth and tasty, but nothing “out of the ordinary”. Very stomach-churning, in a positive sense. :-) The service was a bit “irritating” at first…we were “welcomed” quite briskly…after that everything was fine. “Hard but warm” was my impression.

Typical Palatinate inn with a beautiful beer garden under ancient chestnut trees. Huge portions at really reasonable prices. Plus the warm two ladies. There are (not) many such economies left.

Here you can taste and see that the work is done with a lot of heart and good taste.

The ambience of the restaurant is really nice and authentic for anyone who wants to try the Palatine cuisine, it is a great option especially the saumagen and the liver dumplings were very tasty the traditional German dishes are really well prepared here the staff was very friendly and the service It was quick, the cozy atmosphere made the dinner even more pleasant. The prices are also very fair. I can recommend it to anyone who wants to try traditional German cuisine

The Herrenberg restaurant in Ungstein inspires us every time! Everything is just right here: the quality of the food is first-class, the service is exceptionally warm and attentive, and the ambience invites you to linger. We particularly appreciate the constantly changing dishes that are offered off the menu. This means that every visit remains exciting and you can constantly discover new culinary highlights. The creativity and sophistication of the kitchen are truly impressive! A big compliment to the kitchen team: Anyone who conjures up a crispy schnitzel with fries that is visibly completely fat-free, still crispy and simply tastes fantastic, knows their craft. The side salad also deserves special praise - here the salad is not just an accessory, but a small highlight or work of art in itself - fresh, crunchy and prepared with a lot of love. The price-performance ratio is also excellent and the courteous service rounds off the experience perfectly. A big thank you to the entire team – you make every visit to your place a special experience! We always enjoy coming back and recommend the Herrenberg wholeheartedly. 😊

Very tasty Palatinate food Portions okay Freshly prepared!

Leckeres Bier, ganz tolles authentisches Essen und super freundliche Bedienung! Die urige Atmosphäre hat uns super gefallen und wir sind nach dem top Abendessen noch lange geblieben. Sehr gastfreundlich war, dass wir zu später Stunde noch mit an den Stammtisch eingeladen wurden, wo wir den Abend haben ausklingen lassen. Wenn wir mal wieder in Kaiserslautern sind, kommen wir gerne wieder.

A great restaurant. As always, the food was perfect to my taste. Whether it's about well-known Palatinate delicacies or fine vegan dishes, everything is very tasty. Try the apricot dumplings. The boss has an open ear for every guest and is passionate about what he does. I can only recommend a visit. Please call in advance and reserve a place.

Very nice place to enjoy a good wine on a warm summer night, very nice garden. Highly recommended.
