Zur Alten Gerberei , Restaurant Weinstube in Annweiler am Trifels

After the cinema, we spontaneously stopped in, received a warm welcome, and were given a lovely table next to the fireplace without prior reservation. The food, venison and Burgundy roast, was a culinary dream! The wine selection was top-notch. We're new regulars.

The food and dessert were delicious. We sat in the lovely outdoor area and received good service.

Great atmosphere and fantastic food! A small menu usually promises a good selection, and we weren't disappointed here. Reserving a table is recommended. The staff is friendly and the service is good. The owner herself even had time for a pleasant chat.

We came here for dinner on a Wednesday without a reservation and arrived about 15 minutes after the restaurant opened. We got a seat and were able to order very quickly. The waitresses were very friendly! The food was excellent, super fresh and hot. And the quality is simply fantastic! The dishes are beautifully presented. The price/performance ratio is also very good! They serve Palatinate dishes. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area because the food is excellent. Thank you for this wonderful visit!

A beautiful ambiance, a new design within an old building. Whether in the dining room or on the terrace overlooking the river, there are plenty of comfortable seats, and they're generously spaced. The service is attentive and helpful. The tables are beautifully set. The wine list satisfies all gourmet wishes with its extensive selection. The delicious food is prepared in a "glass" kitchen under the observation of the guests. We look forward to our next visit.

We enjoyed our stay at the Alte Gerberei (Old Gerbery). Sitting on the outdoor terrace by the Queich stream is very, very beautiful. Of course, we also ate, and everything was delicious. We tried almost everything. Everything was freshly prepared, the meat was tender, and not to mention the wines and the Bellheimer beer. This is gastronomy at its finest. We went there without a reservation. We had a lovely outdoor seating by the stream. Very romantic. The food was delicious, and the local wine was even more delicious.

I've been to the "Zur Alten Gerberei" restaurant/wine bar in Annweiler several times and have always been very satisfied with both the service and the excellent food. The ambiance is first-class, especially if you have the opportunity to sit on the beautiful terrace right next to a small stream. Reservations are required. The price-performance ratio is excellent. I highly recommend the "Alte Gerberei" and would be happy to return. 5 stars from me, without a doubt. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

We had a nice hike in Annweiler on Saturday and then we walked into the city center to the old tannery. We have reserved in advance for 6 people. The rest was simply brilliant, great service, delicious food and a nice atmosphere. That was the culmination of the day with good friends and good food.

One room in the restaurant has a direct view of the kitchen and generous space with a pleasant background noise. Very tender Burgundy roast with potato dumplings.

We really liked the restaurant, the atmosphere is very cozy with a fireplace, the service works discreetly and quickly. The choice of dishes is mainly from regional cuisine, which we always and everywhere really like. After a long journey, we were actually very hungry, but the dishes turned out to be so big that despite the excellent taste, some of our fellow travelers could not finish everything. We can recommend this restaurant 100%.

I'm just rating the service here, because unfortunately we didn't even get to eat. We had reserved a table for 7:30 p.m. for three people and arrived a quarter of an hour late because we were looking for a parking space. We also had a longer journey and I found it outrageous that we were then told that the kitchen had already been cleared away. I work in the catering industry myself and no one here would dare to send a reserved table home. Yes, we were offered tarte flambée, but if you have already reserved then you would like to be able to use the entire food offer. If we had come spontaneously I would have understood it. Furthermore, there was the statement “we specifically checked to see whether all the reservations were through”, which was not the truth! It may be that the food is good, which is why we wanted to visit the restaurant. But I haven't experienced anything like this yet

I would give it minus one star... If this were possible... Had yesterday evening 26th 09.24 Reserved a table for three people. Since we had to drive for over an hour and still had to look for the restaurant, we arrived about 15 minutes late. When we arrived we said reserved, table for three people. We were told the kitchen was already closed but we could still get a tarte flambée or a salad. Drive of over an hour. And at 7:45 p.m., the kitchen closed. So I can't comment on the ambience or the food. However, via a middle-aged lady who announced... kitchen closed... If so, salad or tarte flambée. Definitely from me... Minus one star ‼️‼️‼️‼️

Unfortunately for dog owners it's a disaster. The staff refused to allow dogs to visit the restaurant. Despite asking that this was possible three years ago without any problems, we were offered a place in the rain on the terrace. A joke to say the least. Opening times are also severely limited due to a lack of staff. A rogue who thinks evil of it. Not recommended for dog owners and animal lovers.

Nice location, right on the Queich. The map is clear - it makes it easier to choose something. The western steak with side salad, fries and braised onions was super tasty. Price and performance matched (19.90 euros). The service was very attentive. We sat “not left to dry” all evening! We would go there again for dinner at any time.

Grandiose restaurant with a terrace on one of the 2 streams that flow through Annweiler with a view of the beautiful old town. Regional dishes and wines on the menu. We had 2 Gerber plates. Craziness. Extremely delicious. Rarely have we eaten so well. You can even take home wines at off-site prices. Reservation recommended. Service staff very nice and attentive. We'll be back!

We had a wonderful evening on the cozy outdoor terrace on the Queich, pretty and very quiet. The ambience was very lovingly designed, the service was very courteous and attentive, the food was super tasty (varied menu also for us vegetarians, well seasoned, attractively prepared) and all at a very good price-performance ratio! If we had been able to reserve a place on the second evening of our short vacation, we would have come a second time, but it was already fully booked - which I can understand! All 5 stars - I'll be back!

Our last visit to the old tannery was of a sobering nature. We had reserved a table outside because we wanted to celebrate my grandmother's birthday and the weather was nice. After we went to our assigned table and sat down, my grandmother asked my father to pass her bag from the floor. He leaned the chair to the side, whereby a chair leg broke off and my father barely slipped his head past the edge of the table and fell to the floor. Afterwards my mother jumped up and rushed to his aid, as did a nice, helpful guest from the neighboring table. When the landlady heard about the incident on the terrace, she came to our table and wanted to know what had happened. We explained how the chair leg had given way and the father had almost been seriously injured. However, this left the landlady cold and explained that this was not the first incident with these chairs, but had happened several times. The chairs had to be replaced long after the first incident instead of relying on luck. The end of that afternoon was that the landlady had talked her way out of it and hadn't even managed to apologize properly, let alone approach my father. I don't even want to start talking about the quality of the food. To put it as nicely as possible, we were treated to truly subpar hospitality. After that we avoided this place. To this day I am upset with the way this situation was handled.

Wir waren sehr spontan dort. Hatten Lust auf Pfälzische Gerichte wir haben auch sofort ein Tisch bekommen. Wir waren absolut begeistert von der Ambiente einfach magisch❤️ Speisekarte sehr übersichtlich nicht zuviel preis leistung hervorragend. Vorspeise hatten wir eine Kastaniencreme Suppe bestellt die Suppe können wir nur wärmsten empfehlen man kommt auf ein vorzügliche Genuß man schmeckt die Leidenschaft und Liebe in der Suppe zum Hauptgericht hatten wir Burgunderbraten und Kastaniensaumagen als beilagen ein salat kartoffelnknödeln mit Gemüse und ne leckere sauce sehr schön angerichtet. Fazit vom Spontan Esseb gehen einfach megalecker man kann sagen ein Gaumenschmaus❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Bedienung sehe Freundlich zuvorkommend wenn wir könnten würden wir nicht nur 5 Sterne geben sondern 10 🌟 Die Köchin hat Erfahrung und das seit 34 Jahren wer Alteschule essen möchte ist hier genau richtig

Wir waren mal wieder in der alten Gerberei essen. Alles in allem war es ok. Aber im Vergleich zu früher, hat die Qualität nachgelassen. Der Kastaniensaumagen war viel zu fest und leicht trocken. Die Soßen dazu offenbar aus der Tüte und eher salzig. Das war keine Leistung, die zu einem weiteren Besuch einlädt.

Pfälzer Spezialitäten. Sehr lecker und sehr preiswert.

Hier stimmt alles. Das Essen ist lecker, das Ambiente sehr schön und der Service flott und freundlich. Nur, dass die Pfälzer Schorle NICHT im Dubbeglas serviert wird.... na ja, schwamm drüber. 😁
