Price-performance ratio very good, food delicious, everything top and recommended!

Delivery to hotel, ambience not worth it. The delivery time is completely out of the question, even for a Sunday, and it is displayed incorrectly and slips way back, of course after the order has been placed. No cash payment possible. The food was almost cold, the gyro meat was dry, no onions, the coleslaw was oily, the cucumbers and tomatoes were completely watered down, the fries were sticky. And they charge 41 EUR (previously just under 80 DM) for two gyros, which is subpar and a disgrace given the quality. In order to be able to pay this net, many people have to work very hard for more than 5 hours and then the cold turkey... just doesn't work! Another sad experience enriched. As of: November 17, 2024

In my opinion, Janni's Taverne has the best gyros in Bonn. The meat is very nicely roasted and cut a little coarser (which I personally like better). This means the meat remains juicy despite being roasted. Sometimes gyros are very oily and therefore feel even heavier in the stomach - that's not the case here. The meat is good and traditionally seasoned. Coarser fries are served as a side dish, which are also fried until crispy. Better than limp, thin fries. You won't find normal white cabbage - instead there is red cabbage, which I think is even better. The tzatziki is a little milder and not overloaded with garlic. Plus red onions as a topping. The portion size is, as befits Greeks, extremely generous! So, if you like to eat gyros and other traditional Greek specialties, then you've come to the right place! =)

Unfortunately not as good as it used to be. Unfortunately, the gyro is too dry and tastes very bland. Apparently it is not seasoned. The fries were good. All in all, we won't be buying gyros here again in the future, especially since the prices are now completely exorbitant. In addition, it should now be possible to pay by card everywhere.

Very tasty gyros that are always freshly prepared on the rotisserie. All other dishes are also highly recommended. Prices are absolutely fair. Salad and tzatziki also great.

The lady in service was very nice and attentive. The food was impeccably good.

We were at the Olive restaurant with 8 people on a Friday evening. The evening was perfect! The food was fresh and very tasty. My favorite is the chicken skewer and the zucchini balls, but all the other dishes were also completely satisfactory. The warm and friendly manner in which we were welcomed and served by the owner made the visit an unforgettable evening.
