Wir haben zur Nachfeier eines runden Geburtstags das Restaurant ausgewählt. Dem Anlass entsprechend waren unsere Erwartungen hoch und wurden in jeder Hinsicht erfüllt. Hervorragende Qualität im Service und in der Küche haben uns erfreut und passten zu vergleichbaren Häusern im Sternebereich. Hervorzuheben ist hier insbesondere die hohe Qualität der Weinbegleitung (dies ist auf Sterneniveau häufig der Punkt an dem gespart und Geld verdient wird) - wirklich korrespondierend und makellos.

Yesterday I attended a spectacular lunch menu event of several courses combined with a commented winetasting of the Austrian wine maker Schloss Gobelsburg. The cuisine is highly creative and at the same time very satisfying aimed at pleasing the guests rather than reflecting on the vanity of the restaurant. I can recommend this restaurant in every aspect!

Just have to write a quick update...after we had a first test for our dance party in February 2024, our second party started yesterday in the brand new premises on the grounds of the old hospital. With complete success, lots of fun and a good mood. The location is so new, it doesn't even have a name yet...but it's coming soon. A big thank you to the operators Astrid and Albert. Photos to follow. February 2023 - still one of the most beautiful locations in Neuenhagen for private celebrations. We celebrated our son's youth consecration last week and chose the gatehouse as the location, or the second party room that Astrid and Albert tastefully decorated, right next to the already well-known gatehouse at the old hospital in Neuenhagen. The rooms are great and ideal for celebrating a nice party with around 30 to 40 people. Well equipped with a bar and a fireplace. Video technology and a music system are also available. We were completely satisfied and would like to thank the two owners again for the lovely evening.

One can only praise the chef (Tal) highly. You can taste the fact that he completed his training with Paul Bocuse. A bright spot in an otherwise gastronomic "desert". And the ambience - cozy! [Update July 2023] Tal is no longer there, but the cuisine is still very good - for example, the "cucumber soup with cumin" is very tasty! And, for romantically inclined people, there is definitely no better location within a 20 kilometer radius if you want to hang out at the blue hour.

The restaurant reopened on September 16, 2020 after a break of almost 6 months. Maybe that was also the reason for the failed performance. In any case, I have to strongly advise against it for the following reasons. Time: Ordered 4 of 7 courses with wine accompaniment. Dinner took a whopping 5.5 hours. This is absolutely unacceptable and inexcusable. The dishes were all cleverly prepared, impeccably prepared with the finest ingredients, even if not everything met my personal taste. The wine pairing was disappointing. Not only were the wines served much earlier than the food, but the quality/quantity of the wines could have been better considering the price (45 EUR for 4 x 0.1L). I'm also not sure if it was really 0.1L. When we finally got the bill after 5.5 hours at half past midnight, completely exhausted, I was shocked by the price of 9 EUR for a 0.75 liter bottle of water. That's sick! If you spend over 300 EUR on the meal, you can expect to be given a jug of still water for free. This is absolutely outrageous. Especially since we're not talking about any Himalayan mountain spring water, but about seltzer. I'm sorry, but we will never visit this restaurant again and I can also advise all other guests to look for other star restaurants.
