The Dorfstuben is a highly recommended restaurant. We were able to enjoy a very tasty lunch in the “uhrenstube”, a small (in a positive sense), cozy room. Typical Baden-Swabian dishes of a very high standard are offered. We particularly liked that the butter was served separately with the blue trout. The service is very attentive and friendly. We were there recently for the first time, but certainly not the last. When the weather is nice, you should also take a walk through the beautiful, park-like outdoor area.

But in the case of Restaurant 1789, I throw this wise principle overboard - with the same elegance with which a plate is served there. It is a culinary state act – a sensual ceremony on porcelain. The kitchen? Modern, yes. Innovative, certainly. But it's so sophisticated and subtle that you almost think the chef has been secretly studying in the Far East, with a wok in one hand and a microscope in the other. Asian influences dance lightly across the palate, embedded in a European attitude, garnished with a pinch of daring. Well, it wouldn't be honest if I didn't mention that a visit there isn't exactly like a stroll through a weekly market - more like a trip to the opera house of culinary delights. With entrance fee. But if you value quality, creativity and a little theater on your plate, you won't regret your visit. In short: If you have taste, courage and a good pair of shoes - because this menu will take you far away inside - you should definitely visit 1789. And to those who shy away from the price, this is what I say: “You can’t expect a masterpiece and only pay for a sketchbook.”

We were guests in the gourmet restaurant. At first glance it's beautifully newly renovated. However, the rooms seem a bit overloaded, you get the impression that they have tried to accommodate all the current trends. About the food: From my experience, a rather average star restaurant. Some very wild flavor combinations, whole tomatoes as decoration on the plate??? Dessert: A mini sorbet with an ambiguous taste drowned in 3/4 cream... Guests in hiking boots and shorts in the star restaurant??? My wine accompaniment to the main course came after my plate was empty...
