A very nice restaurant with a large, partially covered outdoor area and a side room. The food is delicious, and special requests are no problem. The service is also excellent.

Recommendation from a friend. Food (pizza + salad) terrific. Everything was fine. The ambience is simple, but when the food is so good, it doesn't matter. Probably much less significant in the summer when sitting outside. Write it down as an “insider tip”

As children we were already in the “Alte Schmelz”. Now after the renovation, the guest room and super nice rooms in the middle of the forest are mega nice.

My favorite meal is fried liver with onions in numerous individual pieces, with plenty of side dishes of potatoes and salad - I eat it every time, it's always delicious.

Some say go to Bad Dürkheim to indulge the best German wine. I say go to Puur! and get the best of both worlds, best of German wines and a 5-Star down-to-earth service from a very lovely joyfully servant. Thankful for the wonderful experience!
