Highly recommended! My daughter and I were passing through and stumbled upon this wonderful restaurant by chance. It was perfect from start to finish! If we're in Emden again, we'll definitely eat there!

It's a shame, we won't be coming back. Reserved table (long before appointment) otherwise given to apparently regular customers who come there more often. Food is really good, service leaves a lot to be desired. After my legitimate question about the table reservation, there were excuses and not even a masala to add to the bill. This was clear! No more recommendations from us!!

Wir waren abends aufgrund der tollen Bewertungen bei Tripadvisor hier essen. Unsere Wahl fiel auf Currywurst mit Pommes Spezial und Zigeunerschnitzel mit Pommes Spezial. Nach dem bestellen wurden wir direkt in den „Biergarten“ hinters Haus geschickt. Das Essen kam sehr schnell. Die Portionen waren mehr als ausreichend und Nachschlag wurde mehrfach angeboten. Der Chef hatte sowohl beim bestellen als auch bei der Verabschiedung einen passenden Spruch auf Lager. Der Herrentor-Grill ist mehr als ein Geheimtipp. Beim nächsten Besuch in Emden schauen wir gerne wieder vorbei.

A cozy, great hall. Very suitable for celebrating. We were there for a graduation party. There was no food. But expensive drinks. I think 4 euros in Fanta/Alster is way too expensive for a graduation party (10th grade). That's why you had to pay an entrance fee of 15 euros. Oh well. It's a one-time thing. Nevertheless, it was a nice evening for them kids.

It's about 50 years ago, it's hard to believe, that we spent our fifth and sixth lessons here. There were delicious meatballs, beer too, of course, and the daughter of the house wasn't quite in charge of the billing, which we young urchins naturally took advantage of shamelessly. Everything about it is totally true, but unfortunately the food wasn't that tasty. The tzatziki really wasn't that tzatzikiy and the gyros was pretty greasy. But it could be even worse, so three stars are fair.
