We are on our way back to Frankfurt from the Alsace, and for about an hour along the road we were struggling to find somewhere that was open, and were conscious that most places close at 2pm. We got into Gernsbach at 1.50pm so most of the other restaurants weren't an option, but Indian Spice was serving until 2.30pm, so we went there and we're glad that we did. We had the buffet which was very reasonably priced and met our needs perfectly. A really nice pea soup to start with. Poppadoms with sauces, naan bread, rice, a chicken dish for my father and vegetarian options for myself. As we're driving we were also glad to have alcohol free Weißbeer and Pils, just two of the many options on their very extensive menu.
We were in a real hurry so we rushed it a bit and so were glad that the buffet was an option and that we didn't have to wait for our dishes to be cooked, but we'll be back the next time we are in the area so we can take our time and check out the rest of the menu.
The service was impeccable, the gentleman who was serving us was very kindly and polite. Thank you!
The place is good delicious food and drinks we had a good time we really liked it especially the toilet room
The service is simply wonderful and the waiters are wonderful people
If I could give six stars for service, I would. A family business as described in the book. The boss and his employees were very friendly and personable. There is something very personal about the ambience and the staff, the staff respond very pleasantly to their guests and you feel very comfortable. The food was also really good, value for money was absolutely reasonable.
Black hair found in the food!!!
Unfortunately, we were misled by the reviews and went to the restaurant for dinner. The first visit was, let's say, "okay." The non-alcoholic beverage selection was very limited, which is a shame since they don't even offer non-alcoholic Aperol Spritz, even though it's quite common in restaurants. I had a bit of a bad feeling in my stomach after the meal. Yesterday, however, after some time, I gave it a second chance and went back again, and definitely for the last time. A thick, long, black hair was found in the food. When we were asked (by the waitress, who was obviously not in the mood for her job) if everything was okay because we wanted to pay, my boyfriend mentioned the hair he had found. We weren't even offered a discount or an alternative; they simply ignored my boyfriend's statement without comment. Simply disgusting and unconcerned. At least an apology would have been appropriate.
