Everything is TOP! The portions are generously sized, beautifully presented, and taste delicious. The staff is friendly. We've been eating here every one to two months for years... I highly recommend it! Main course, two Cokes, plus dessert for €30 per person... Wow...

Great food! I do have one disappointment… Ms. Meruna shouldn't reprimand guests who are invited for limoncello! And especially not with such rude tone and choice of words, as if they were worthless or subservient to her! It was the case on October 16, 2025, and today, October 26, 2025! Absolutely unacceptable! No words! The renewed escalation of your statements was the death knell for today. Ms. Meruna! Learn respect and politeness. You can still learn a lot from your colleagues!!!!!!

The food was very tasty, but the service seemed a bit stressed.

We were at La Piazza in the evening and ordered a salad and lasagna. Bread was offered with the salad, but then forgotten, and the lasagna, while tasty, was hot on the outside and cold on the inside. If it had been my first visit, I wouldn't go back, but since I've been there before and the pinsa and pizza were delicious, that's my conclusion. I can eat reheated lasagna at home, so I won't order it there anymore.

It's a shame you can't photograph good taste! Incredibly good food, whether pizza, fish, or salad. Everything was very fresh, generous portions, and incredibly delicious. Even though it was busy, someone (special shout-out to Tristan) always came by to ask if everything was okay. The staff was friendly and attentive. Lovely ambiance (although I did miss the Italian music). The restrooms were also very stylish and clean. My absolute recommendation! We'll definitely be back.

What a lovely pizzeria this is, where you receive friendly service, where there is a cozy atmosphere, with an extensive menu and delicious food at an affordable price.

The ambiance is good, the service attentive. Unfortunately, the tortellini alla panna was overcooked. The vitello tonnato was OK. The bread would have been great with it, and the spaghetti aglio olio was superb. The soup was also good. I'd go back.

Unfortunately, this is getting a bit long-winded... We're from the area and wanted to go out for pizza in the evening. We had made a reservation by phone, but when we arrived, they couldn't find our name, but we were seated. The waiter came, friendly, and everything was fine. After a short while, our drinks were taken, and then we were served. We waited quite a while for a bottle of water (filled bottle) and a beer. Then our order was taken. Pizza, just pizza, nothing else. We waited and waited. It took an hour to get our food, which was a no-go. After asking several times, we were always assured it would arrive right away. Hmm... it wasn't that great (so much for the taste). Now, a list of negative points: -Poor management, which the customer sees, because everyone is running around, it seems like one waiter takes care of everything, and the rest are just temporary staff serving. -Families with children waiting like everyone else... a no-go. -Excuses for why it's taking so long, like a death in the family or illness, don't interest anyone, especially if you don't know the staff. Vacation time isn't an excuse either, just bad management! -Manager struts around like a rooster instead of lending a hand when things get hectic. And he nudges everyone around, acting like a buddy. Absolutely unacceptable!!! -Small children (2) were allowed to go to the waiting counter with their shoes on to watch how pizza was made (the ingredients are behind it!!!) Hygiene? All in all, NOT a pleasant evening. It was very busy, but not pleasant. Every guest around us was complaining about the food taking so long. They also have a shortened summer menu...what do they do when the regular menu is available? A pizza takes about 4 minutes in the oven, with toppings and everything else, maybe 10 minutes, but an hour or more?

Highly recommended, a lovely pizzeria. The food is good, and all dishes (pizza, pasta, etc.) arrived at the table at the same time. No one in our group had any complaints. The service was good despite the tables being full, although drinks sometimes took a while to arrive. The restaurant itself is very tastefully decorated, and the restrooms are well-maintained and clean. The location itself isn't particularly noteworthy. We felt very comfortable and had a lovely evening with delicious food!

Very tasty and really large pizzas. Children can request a child's portion. Friendly and attentive service. From some tables, you can watch the pizza makers at work – especially great for kids! Overall, very good value for money. We'll be happy to come back. 😊

Depending on where you sit, you can watch the pizza chef at work, which is an aesthetic delight, as he spreads the red sauce spirally, like a mandala, on the round dough. The Hawaiian pizza is relatively inexpensive and, by all standards, tasty; the dough is thin. The salmon and spinach pizza wasn't as good; the spinach was watery. We were there on a holiday, and the pizzas were made very quickly.

Today we were in this establishment, everything was very filling and delicious, the staff was simply wonderful, even considering that everything was done in 15 minutes, very pleasant smiling waiters. When we wanted to move from the street because of the rain, they didn’t refuse us, and they put us inside. The only negative is that flies fly, and they don’t get rid of them. And also a nice interior of the restaurant and a clean toilet, thanks to the staff

Came without a reservation. Even though everything was actually full, we got a table straight away. I ate a Pizza Pfiff with fresh chanterelles, salsiccia, red onions and mozzarella. I have rarely eaten such good pizza. The service was top. Thanks. Maybe see you again soon.

On Valentine's Day I went to this great restaurant with a friend. To our surprise, the store was packed - unfortunately we hadn't made a reservation. After waiting for a while, an idea came to me: I picked up my cell phone, pretended to be on the phone, and said loudly: "Hey girlfriend, I think I just see your husband with another woman at the restaurant!" At that moment three men jumped up and ran away quickly. And voilà – we had a table faster than we could have imagined! A great place, highly recommended! However, it is always busy, so it is worth making an early reservation.

Very tasty pizza and pasta. Have been here several times or taken pizza to go, especially during the Corona closures. When the weather is good, we like to sit in front of the restaurant. There is a large parking lot adjacent. The specialty is the Salmenbräu light and dark on tap, brewed exclusively for the restaurant by Hoepfner, both delicious!

My friend was eating there with her family and was hit on by a young waiter who was also very cheeky. Hopefully the waiter will be taught some decency :)

A little too much sauce for the schnitzel. That would easily be enough for three. But she is extra. Still everything delicious.

Amazing food!! Great people, if you don't speak a lot of German no worries! The staff is super friendly and the atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy and welcoming. The pizza is of course great but so are all the other dishes I've eaten there. **UPDATE** it's even better than before! Even with all the inflation globally, it is still a great price for the quality and portions you get. Have been coming every year when I'm in Germany.

It feels like they treat every guest like a good friend. The business owner also deserves special praise - you can feel how much passion and commitment there is behind this restaurant. I came around 7pm on a Sunday and went in right away without a reservation. There were a lot of people and there were a lot of orders so our food came out late. However, I liked it because the pizza and pasta were so delicious. The beer is delicious too😄

Very nicely decorated, attentive and friendly service, sometimes a bit overwhelmed. Unfortunately it's very loud, but it's also very busy. Pizzas very tasty, pasta rather bland. Unfortunately, the meat dishes that are missing are the typically Italian ones, such as Involtini or Saltimboca. Because of SchniPoSa I haven't been to an Italian restaurant and when I read "Spaghetti Carbonara in cream sauce" I know that the owner isn't Italian either. But please don't mean that in a derogatory way

Unfortunately the service staff are not very attentive, they are very busy, which I can understand, but it is not possible that you have reserved the table at 5 p.m., place the order at 5:30 p.m. and (current time) 7:10 p.m Still no food has been received. The very beautiful restaurant is always worth a visit for every occasion: Great variety of food/drinks. Original Italian cuisine, everything tastes excellent and delicious, large, barely manageable portions and everything at reasonable, fair prices! The restaurant in the center of Gernsbach is always very busy, especially in the evenings and on weekends, as it is popular with all generations!! Reservation in the evening is essential! Service exceptionally friendly, fast and courteous, even at peak times! Also recommended for smaller family celebrations or similar. Boss very customer-oriented and present! Sufficient parking spaces available (small parking fee until 6 p.m., as the city of Gernsbach has a public parking lot)

Very good cuisine, the pizza was excellent. But it was so full that the service couldn't be kept up, even though they tried very hard. Some people at my table waited almost an hour for a drink

The Piazza restaurant in Gernsbach is a real insider tip! The atmosphere is cozy and stylish at the same time, the service is extremely friendly and attentive. I was particularly impressed by the fresh and high-quality preparation of the food - every meal was a pleasure! The Italian dishes are presented with great attention to detail and taste absolutely authentic. The price-performance ratio is also excellent. I can fully recommend the Piazza and am already looking forward to my next visit!

Very nice staff and delicious food

It was our first time at Piazza and overall we were satisfied. Ordering the drinks was a bit chaotic as the wrong drinks came to the table three times. But it wasn't too bad, the right thing came later. Overall, the food was really good and the price was definitely right. It was very crowded and relatively loud. Otherwise the service was friendly and attentive.

We're usually here a lot, but it's getting worse from time to time. Eating DSD is delicious, no question about it. However, waiting 2 hours for food, seeing people come an hour after you and get the food first and you almost starve, I find it really annoying. The wait staff is doing their best, but there are too few of them and they are just running and doing. We had to wait a very long time last time, even though we were right in front of our noses. But this was the last straw. Only after asking 4 times where the food was and saying that you were really hungry did it still not be our food that came, but everyone else's food outside... We then spoke to the boss straight away after we were ignored for 20 minutes after dinner and actually wanted coffee and dessert to somehow save the evening. The boss also gave us coffee on the house and dessert as an apology. Still, it was disappointing in all respects.

Reserved a table around 5 p.m. to place the order. Ordered food 2 hours ago!! After 2 hours there was still no food and the neighboring table that came after us had already received the food. Something like that is absolutely not possible!! And when you finally get the food after 21/2 hours (7:30 p.m.) but not everyone (group of 12 people) and the whole thing is put off with the fact that it has been lost. No words for this!!!

What can I say...you definitely shouldn't come here very hungry and short on patience. First it took a while for the order to even be taken and then we had to wait 2 hours (!!!) for the food to be brought to the table. To top it all off, a meal was forgotten, which meant another wait. Conclusion of the evening...luckily there are other restaurants!

We didn't have a reservation and asked for 2 seats shortly after 4 p.m. Although everything except two tables was free, the rest were probably reserved. We were offered a table outside for 1 hour, which we accepted. Our food (pizza and tortellini al forno) came quickly. Unfortunately the tortellini were only lukewarm. At my request, they took her with me again to heat things up. The pizza was okay, unfortunately my pasta was too soft and the taste of the pasta as well as the tomato-minced meat sauce with lots of peas was tasteless and didn't convince me. After 45 minutes the waitress came and pointed out that the people who had reserved our table after us were already waiting. All the tables around us were still free. It would certainly have been possible to move to another table and not force us to leave. On the previous visit we had reserved indoors for 3 people. Even then, the restaurant was empty and we were assigned a small table for 4 right by the stairs, where you had to worry about falling down the stairs if you weren't careful and slipped your chair a little too far back.

The La Piazza restaurant is located in a rather inconspicuous low-rise building in the heart of Gernsbach. The atmosphere is rustic but cozy and there is a large terrace for the summer. The menu offers a wide selection of typical Italian dishes, except for the meat dishes where schnitzel dominates, but Italian classics such as saltimbocca or piccata are missing. The staff is consistently friendly and very attentive and drinks and food are served quite quickly after ordering. The quality of the food itself is very good, but the taste and appearance are rather average. In any case, the portions are very generous for the prices quoted.

We got pizza and we were very satisfied, everything was really delicious. Gladly again. I'm only rating the food and the service here because I didn't really look around the restaurant.

Really beautiful what was made of it. We thought it was great that you could open the front part as if you were sitting on the terrace. The only shame was the view. So much effort was put into making the whole restaurant modern and comfortable, but when you look outside you see a very unpleasant part of Gernsbach

Went on our bikes and had dinner there. Food and service absolutely top. Price is a little higher but justified.

Very good pizza which are offered in 2 sizes: small 32 cm and medium 38 cm. The small pizza was more than enough and we even had trouble finishing it... The prices are very reasonable, on average €11.60 for a good number of them and excellent. Large parking lot in front of the restaurant. I recommend.

What a great evening in Gernsbach. Very good cuisine with real Italian dishes and a great seasonal menu. Perfect meat quality! Very good zander with chanterelles. Even though there was a lot going on, our waitress had everything under control. Omar, the boss, is friendly and accommodating. He exceeded our wishes. You have to visit this place. Thank you for a wonderful Saturday evening.

WOW!!! Was in Gernsbach for a weekend training course. It looked great as we walked past and we managed to get a seat even though it was extremely full. Can only highly recommend it!!! Pizza incredibly good and the staff was great too. Thank you and see you next time! 😁
