Traube Gasthaus in Gernsbach

Nice clean bar. Got a hunting vibe to it and locally run. Would recommend for any university student passing through for the great prices on the alcohol here.

The Traube in Gernsbach is the oldest pub and also the only music pub in Gernsbach. The Traube is a typical smokers' pub with a moderately bright ambiance. The attention to detail can be seen again and again in both large and small things in the house. In addition to Höpfner on tap, the quite young manager also offers Rothaus, Bitburger, Erdinger, and the Stiftungsbräu Höpfner from the bottle. In addition to the usual standard drinks, you can also choose between the standard and a 3-star wine from Schloss Eberstein. Once a month (the first Saturday of the month) there is karaoke, which, as far as I know, is unique and always incredibly fun. In addition to karaoke, bands are often present, although not regularly, and make the evening incredibly enjoyable with live music. It's also worth mentioning that Thursdays have been reintroduced as beer day (bottle beer €1.50). For events, we recommend reserving tables, as the small Traube only accommodates 60 people (approximately 30 seated). What fascinates me personally about Traube is how easy it is to make new friends among the regulars and the hostess, which speaks volumes about the friendly atmosphere. But that's just my opinion, of course. It's best to find out for yourself and check it out :)
