Draußen schön am Stadtbuckel von Gernsbach zum Sitzen. Freundliche Bedienung, wenig Wartezeit und schmackhaftes Essen.

Ich habe von einem deutschen Freund eine Empfehlung für dieses Restaurant bekommen und bin so darauf gestoßen. Das Essen war köstlich und der Service ausgezeichnet. Unbedingt das Non-Veg-Thali probieren!

Habe bisher nur abgeholt und zu Hause gegessen, aber das was ich gegessen habe war immer mega gut! Naan und Papadam mit Dips super als Vorspeise und auch die verschiedenen veganen Gerichte alle super lecker. Auch tolle Auswahl für Veganer. Sehr zu empfehlen! 😊

Wir sind sehr gerne dort. die Bedienung ist überaus freundlich. Das Essen ist lecker und wir essen dort vegan. Alles sehr schnell und unkompliziert. Im Sommer kann man hübsch auf dem alten Marktplatz sitzen umgeben von Fachwerkhäuser, sehr beschaulich.

Ich fand das Restaurant echt super. Würde sofort bedient. Nach meiner Bestellung kam Recht schnell meine Vorspeise das Naanbrot. Es wurde sogar extra nachgefragt ob es OK wäre wenn jetzt der Hauptgang kommt. Den Service fand ich einfach super. Das Essen war sehr lecker und auch genau so scharf wie ich es mir gewünscht habe. Selbst die Beilagen Soßen haben es in sich so wie man es eben kennt von einen guten Inder.

Das Essen war sehr gut, aber das übliche Buffet gibt es samstags nicht mehr.

Auf der Webseite des Restaurants, gibt es für das Mittagessen aktuell 2 Varianten: a) Mittagsbuffet von Montag - bis Samstag von 11:00 - 14:30 Uhr Achtung: >> Nur gegen VORAB-Reservierung! > 9 Gerichte zur Auswahl > Geflügel Mittagstisch je 9,50 € > 6 Gerichte zur Auswahl > Lamm Mittagstisch je 10,50 € >> 5 Gerichte zur Auswahl > Meeresspezialitäten je 10,50 € >> 6 Gerichte zur Auswahl Alle Gerichte werden mit Basmatireis serviert, dazu wahlweise dazu entweder Suppe oder Salat. ***** Nach meinem Eintreten wurde ich freundlich begrüßt und ein freier Tisch angeboten. Der Mitarbeiter hat mir die Karte überreicht und die jeweiligen Tische im Restaurant, waren jeweils gleich schön eingerichtet, mit einer Tischdecke, einem Väschen mit einem Blümchen und einem weiteren Glas mit einer Kerze darin. Bestellung: Geflügel-Mittagstisch 511. Chicken Sabji > Hühnerbrustfilet mit Gempse der Saison, Zwiebeln, Tomaten, Ingwer und Koriander zubereitet, dazu habe ich die Suppe ausgewählt Die Suppe war eine Curryrahmsuppe und geschmacklich gut. Zwischen den Gängen wurde jeweils schön abgewartet, bis der Gast entsprechend fertig mit essen war. Der Teller zum Hauptgericht wurde gebracht und dieser war angewärmt - sehr sehr gut! Das Hauptgericht hat geschmeckt, man schmeckte die einzelnen Zutaten und es war portionsmässig genau richtig. Leider hat das Personal es versäumt, während meines Besuches, mir ein weiteres Getränk anzubieten, bzw. nachzufragen, sodass ich dann in Folge noch etwas bestellte. 10. Mango Colada > weißer Rum, Myers Rum, Mango Püree, Mangosaft, Kokossirup & Sahne für 7,90 € Cocktail war äußerlich schön mit Früchten dekoriert - geschmacklich war der Cocktail gut. Grundsätzlich kann ich das Indian Spice weiterempfehlen, aber man sollte grundsätzlich überlegen, ob man die Preise für den Mittagstisch generell über 10 € legt, da man darunter in der heutigen Zeit nichts verdienen kann und es zwar für den Gast sehr günstig rüberkommt, aber man muss ja auch überleben können und vor allem das Geschäft muss sich in diesem Fall auch rentieren. Wünsche dem Betreiber alles Gute und bis zum nächsten Mal.

Leckeres Essen. Viel Auswahl. Mittagstisch gibt es auch. Cocktails sowie alkoholfreie Cocktails mit Schirmchen.

A lovely restaurant with good food

We were visiting family and went out for lunch on Boxing Day. The food was rather average, and we've definitely had better Indian meals. The mint sauce was a bit too sweet for my taste. The meat was somewhat dry, and the sauces are better than what I've had at an Indian restaurant. It was alright, though.

Very nice hospitality, atmosphere & taste!

We've eaten there many times, both in the evenings à la carte and at the lunch buffet (our tip for those who want a lot!). We've never been disappointed. The portions contain plenty of meat, not just two or three morsels like at other Indian restaurants. The rice is always perfect, and the naan is always fresh. Highly recommended!

I visited Indian Spice for the first time today, and I was not disappointed. The ambiance was pleasant, the restrooms clean, and the service friendly and courteous. I didn't have to wait long, either for ordering or for drinks or food. I had a chicken vindaloo, which tasted excellent and authentic. I ordered it very spicy and told the server that I wanted it authentically Indian. The only thing I didn't like was the authentic Indian spice. However, I wouldn't deduct a star for that reason. I will definitely be back at Indian Spice and can only recommend this restaurant without reservation! Authentic Indian cuisine, as I know and love it!

Based on the great reviews, we decided to try "Indian Spice" – and we weren't disappointed! We sat outside and feasted on tandoori lamb, butter chicken, and chicken pakoras. The food was delicious. The staff and owner were super friendly, pleasant, and attentive – you feel truly welcome and well looked after. They were very attentive without being intrusive, which we found very pleasant. If you're looking for good, delicious Indian food, you should definitely pay "Indian Spice" a visit. We'll definitely be back – it was a true taste experience! 😊

Very good food, great vegan selection

We are on our way back to Frankfurt from the Alsace, and for about an hour along the road we were struggling to find somewhere that was open, and were conscious that most places close at 2pm. We got into Gernsbach at 1.50pm so most of the other restaurants weren't an option, but Indian Spice was serving until 2.30pm, so we went there and we're glad that we did. We had the buffet which was very reasonably priced and met our needs perfectly. A really nice pea soup to start with. Poppadoms with sauces, naan bread, rice, a chicken dish for my father and vegetarian options for myself. As we're driving we were also glad to have alcohol free Weißbeer and Pils, just two of the many options on their very extensive menu. We were in a real hurry so we rushed it a bit and so were glad that the buffet was an option and that we didn't have to wait for our dishes to be cooked, but we'll be back the next time we are in the area so we can take our time and check out the rest of the menu. The service was impeccable, the gentleman who was serving us was very kindly and polite. Thank you!

Wir waren neugierig auf indisches Essen, uns hat es überhaupt nicht geschmeckt, der Fisch war in irgend einer fetten Sauce drin, dass man nur kaum erkennen konnte, dass es ein Fischgericht ist und vom Geschmack auch nicht wirklich gut, die Ente war relativ normal aber nicht wirklich gut, der Salat ohne Dressing, einmal und nie wieder. Vom Preis her auch relativ teuer.

I recently ate at this Indian restaurant and overall had a good experience! Unfortunately, the drinks took a while to arrive, probably because it was quite crowded that evening. The starter, on the other hand, arrived quickly and tasted excellent. However, the waiting time for the main course was quite long at 1 hour and 30 minutes. The food itself was very tasty and the portions were more than enough - almost too much! At the end there was a schnapps on the house, which was a nice gesture. Overall a good restaurant with authentic food, but you should be patient if it's busy. I'd still like to come back!

Don't let the bland exterior fool you. The food and service are well worth stepping inside. The staff were incredibly friendly and we felt welcome right away. They gave us plenty of time to pick our dishes and were never pushy. Our meals were delicious, fresh and well prepared. Indian Spice is an amazing place to go for lunch in Gernsbach and we will certainly be back. Highly recommended!

We are not connoisseurs of Indian food, but we were pleasantly surprised by what we were offered here in this relatively large restaurant in the beautiful old town of Gernsbach! As a “non-insider” of Indian food culture, you are “stunned” at the beginning by the extraordinary variety of different dishes! The food is visually beautifully presented, fresh and plentiful! Lovers of spicy food are definitely in the right place here (but so is everyone else, including children). Friendly, attentive service, reservation not necessary in my opinion as there are enough seats. We will now come here to eat more often to get to know Indian cuisine better! We will soon try the lunch buffet at €13.90!

Good option for a lunch! We tasted 3-course menu (soup, main dish, desert).

There were four of us there and for the first time, very nice service. We ordered 5 starters and almost didn't need the main courses anymore - we were so full, it was the best Indian meal for us so far. Lots of herbs and spices are used and everything tastes very good. The chicken and lamb were tender and the sauce was aromatic. I would also like to make the basmati rice this easy at home. The homemade lemonade was delicious and tasted similar to a caipirinha, only without alcohol. The mango lassi was a little too sweet for my taste but that's my personal opinion. It wasn't the last time we were there.

This establishment is located in Gernsbach's picturesque old town. The high-quality cuisine took about 45 minutes, but the meal that you then get served by extremely friendly service is worth every minute of waiting. Furthermore, you can enjoy this meal to the fullest in an extremely pleasant atmosphere. In my opinion, the overall pricing is more than fair and always worth a visit. You have to know.

Das Restaurant war kaum besucht, was uns im Nachhinein sehr wunderte, denn das Essen hat allen sehr gut geschmeckt, die Bedienungen waren sehr freundlich und die Atmosphäre sehr angenehm. Wir hatten vier vegetarische Gerichte, einen Vorspeisenteller und ein Kindergericht. Wenn wir mal wieder in der Nähe sind würden wir auf jeden Fall nochmal dort essen.

For small children there is a large sandpit with seating within sight. Parking spaces approx. 250 m away from the old town. Service always friendly and attentive. Mango Lassi is super class.

We were in this restaurant in June - and absolutely loved it. We ordered a good cocktail and a glass of mango lassi. This beautiful glass was decorated with half a slice of pineapple and two parasols. Looked great and was a pleasure. The two crispy ducks we ordered tasted very good. We received beautiful, white, large plates and enjoyed the excellent ducks with the delicate sauces. The service was attentive, friendly and very good. The boss also came to our table and asked if everything was okay. Yes, it really was - June 2024. Because we were so excited, we told friends about the great food at Indian Spice. Five of them were here two weeks ago and were not at all convinced. A lot went wrong and they were also disappointed with the small portions. They won't come anymore. We couldn't believe it and went to Indian Spice again two days ago with other friends. We ordered exactly the same food as in June. We also recommended the duck to our friends, which they then ordered. The mango lassi was in a normal glass without a pineapple slice and without a parasol. Well, maybe the staff was stressed. I could still accept that. Then the four ducks came on small plates so that there was only a little space left on the plate for rice. There were no big plates today. The skin on all four ducks was not crispy. It's a shame, because the crispy duck skin always tastes particularly good. There was a squishy mass of fat between the skin and meat that we couldn't eat. That is not how it works! The ducks were nothing like the ducks we had eaten in June. For 23.90 euros you can really expect a tasty meal. Unfortunately that wasn't the case! At least the mango and vegetable sauce and rice tasted good. The service was lackluster, not attentive and not friendly. The boss was probably missing that day. Maybe the entire team was stressed? Nevertheless, the waiters must be friendly, and a good chef must be able to prepare crispy ducks. The June chef has proven that it works. These friends will no longer visit Indian Spice either. We don't know yet whether we will come again. Maybe we just ordered the wrong thing?

Here inventory management for lunch. Unfortunately we were the only guests on Sunday lunchtime. That's a shame because the food is very tasty. The service is friendly but not intrusive. There is room for improvement with the chutney, it was more like jam, we expected more.
