A great marketplace with lots of restaurants! The donkey is a symbolic figure of the city of Unna! The donkey served as a pack animal, long before the 17th century salt production was an important industry in Unna! After salt production, it was coal that ensured prosperity in Unna!

We were here at Easter and enjoyed a 3 course menu. It was really great. The service and food are absolutely top notch and you feel totally at home here. There is nothing over-the-top or haute valaute. We felt very welcome here. More of this. We'll be back.

As expected, it was very full and the two of us had forgotten to make a reservation, but they still found a spot for us. Brunch was very good as always. Update April 4, 2025: Today we were there for breakfast with a reservation and it was again delicious and good service. Many thanks to the team
