We were here for the first time today, but certainly not the last time. It was just incredibly delicious. Both the delicious lassis, the naan and especially the butter chicken! Everything just fit! Price-performance absolutely justified!
The cheese was bad, there was barely any sauce on it, and the flatbread was very soggy. They also forgot to bring my Coke. I called and let them know my Coke would be brought to me, but I also find it very rude to complain about it because we live right at the top and he had to walk so far.
I visited the Bosporus Kebab House with high expectations because I thought it was the best kebab shop based on the positive reviews in Gotha. Unfortunately I was disappointed.
At first, a lot seemed promising: the menu was manageable, the staff was very friendly, the bread stood out from standard kebabs, and even the packaging made an innovative impression. But ultimately these positive aspects couldn't save the overall experience.
A big problem was the bread - it proved inconvenient as it tore easily. In the end, the kebab was more like a burger that was open on all sides. In addition, the packaging did not keep the kebab warm enough. Despite only a five-minute drive, it was already lukewarm because the insulation couldn't keep up with aluminum foil.
The taste of the meat didn't impress me, and the difficult handling - as the kebab fell apart into its individual parts - lost my appetite. For now I won't eat there again.
It wasn't our first time as a guest, but we would like to once again share our positive impressions of the staff, the service and the food. Thank you very much.
Since the beginning of March, Valentino has been an Indian restaurant (Bombay Tandori) under the same management and service. The complete package was fine at Valentino (I was here regularly), but now as an Indian it's fascinating and you can actually recommend everything on the menu. Great place!
Well, when you walk past the restaurant, the operators often sit "bored" on the chairs that are actually intended for the guests.
For me, this place is really only good for a quick kebab. For everything else it doesn't work for me.
Unfortunately, attempts are made to offer expensive food with low-quality ingredients. Ox cheeks and chops consisted almost entirely of fat. The potato gratin was not fresh (at least from the day before) and had obviously been warmed up in the microwave (dry & hard edges).
In addition, the friendly service is not clear about the difference between a Pils and a Hellen. Overall, unfortunately not recommended.
Overall, the restaurant is worth a visit as it offers an extensive selection of food and drinks. Parking is located directly behind the restaurant. Unfortunately, there is a service person who does not work optimally in this position. She leads guests to tables that are unappealing, even though there were plenty of other seats available that you weren't allowed to choose from - and nothing was reserved. The way she places the guests together in close proximity during the meal is also unfortunate. I also find it unpleasant and unprofessional that she continually clears away dishes while eating.
