Always a pleasure and the price for lunch is unbeatable

Today we were invited to a birthday party in our old hometown and came across this (new to me) restaurant. The ambience is very nice and cozy and invites you to linger. The menu is very nice, adapted to the ambience and there is a great selection. The service is very courteous and friendly. There were three of us and we shared a menu and a main course. The food was beautifully served and a real pleasure. We would be happy to come back for our next visit home. Really great 👍🏼

I have been visiting this restaurant regularly for several years because the food and ambience are excellent. I have been to many Indian restaurants - this is one of the best; The price is no longer cheap, but still acceptable - a decent meal with a drink is difficult for less than 20 euros.

Wir waren am 26.10.2024 das erste Mal im Ganesha. Das Restaurant macht einen guten Eindruck, die indische Dekoration ist vorhanden, aber nicht überladen. Wir hatten uns vorher auf der Website die Speisekarte angesehen und wollten uns als Vorspeise die drei Dips mit Naanbrot bestellen. Die Dips gab es zu unserer Überraschung als Gruß aus der Küche mit Papadam, so mussten wir uns nur noch Naan dazu bestellen. Die Karte bietet eine große Auswahl, vegetarische Gerichte sind auch dabei. Der Hauptgang war toll gewürzt, das Fleisch, Lamm und Ente, war auf den Punkt. Zum Abschluss noch einen köstlichen Kokusslassi und der Abend war rundum gelungen. Wir gehen auf jeden Fall wieder hin, da wir die Speisekarte durchprobieren möchten.

Everything is great, but one thing I noticed is that the staff of this restaurant has a personality, because when my glass of water was spilled on the young man's shoes (waiter), he said very kindly and with a smile that it's no problem, young man didn't see my mistake. I recommend everyone to go to Ganesha once and for all. But the food was a bit tasteless.

It is by far the best restaurant in Gotha: food is super fresh, portions are very good and the service is first class. For me, the dishes from the tandoor, the naan and the appetizers that were served at the beginning were unique. Better than ouzo at the Greek, better than the few colored olives at the Italian. Simply BETTER! I also love this store for its Indian decor, subtle music and just the whole package. Simply brilliant. Keep it up! We always enjoy coming and celebrating there!

Unfortunately you can't give 0 stars. Just got almost run over by the delivery service. despite the lights on the bike and hand signals to turn. impossible. I was then shown the bird when I confronted the driver.

Not clean! My cutlery wasn't clean and that doesn't surprise me, because when I wanted to leave a table was being re-set and there was a spoon on the floor. This was picked up and simply placed on the table. So that doesn't work.

Waren in einer Gruppe von 10 Leuten zum Geschäftsessen hier. Sehr freundliche, zuvorkommende und schnelle Bedienung. Große Auswahl an Speisen, auch vegetarisch. Preis, Leistung klasse!! Geschmacklich super!! Alle waren sehr zufrieden. Schöner Abend, gerne wieder. Ich kann es unbedingt empfehlen!!

Have eaten there several times, always delicious! After the meal you get a schnapps. Prices have increased, but are still okay. Very inexpensive dishes are offered at lunchtime. Very nice staff! Everything is always beautifully decorated on Valentine's Day - but make sure you make a reservation! Parking situation very bad! You can also order food and pick it up from the restaurant.

We ate there two days in a row and I have to say: it was fantastic! The selection of lassi and the exclusively Indian menu was bombastic! No two dishes tasted the same, just as you would expect from some other Indian restaurants. The service was always friendly and never intrusive. We would have loved to pack up the restaurant, including the chef and wait staff, and take it with us to Berlin 😍😄 If we come back to Gotha, a visit to this restaurant is a must! Thank you for the lovely experience. It was our best Indian chicken!

It wasn't our first time here today, but it was the first time we didn't get a seat because we hadn't made a reservation. We were kindly offered to wait, which we did patiently. When we knew what else we would miss😉😋 After a while we got a table and I have to say it was worth the wait. As always, it was super delicious. Many thanks to the very nice and courteous staff. We have only had very good experiences so far and would be happy to come back.

Super delicious Indian food. Service is super accommodating. The only challenge has been the language, as one of the waiters was difficult to understand in German. It is certainly not the last time we have eaten there. Would love to come again when we are in Gotha

Just a shame and annoying. We wanted to go to the film premiere at 8.30 p.m. and had therefore booked a table for 7 p.m. Drinks, bread with sauces came quickly, the lady who took our order seemed very stressed and unfriendly. We left the restaurant at 8:20 p.m. without eating. Instead of an apology or regret from the “hosts” we were forced into justification conversations both at the seat and at the door. Bad service, waiting for well over an hour for the food and then having to justify yourself as a guest instead of an apology - that's not possible!

The food was delicious and service was also very good. We even got a bottle of champagne on the house. Recommend everyone to eat there. We will come back in any case.

Great atmosphere, very nice, friendly and courteous staff. First there was a small greeting from the kitchen. The food itself was super tasty and aromatic. Rarely have I eaten with such a good Indian restaurant. There's nothing wrong with the prices. It's rare to find something that's 100% price/performance ratio.

Vor einem Jahr dort bestellt und vom Essen begeistert. Heute was das Essen mäßig. Lamm Masala OK, Chicken Korma leider völlig versüßt und nicht genießbar. Die Preise sind nicht gerechtfertigt.

Hier gibt es total leckeres indisches Essen. Vielleicht ein zwei Tische weniger hinstellen, dann ist mehr Platz und es wirkt gemütlicher. Das wäre auch schon der einzige Kritikpunkt. Die Speisen sind hervorragend gewürzt und schmecken fantastisch. Aktueller Nachtrag. Waren mal wieder vor Ort gewesen und sind total begeistert. Sehr lecker.

Kann ich wirklich jedem empfehlen...waren schon öfters hier und es ist immer wieder lecker und typisch indisch. Sehr schönes Ambiente mit einem super Service und natürlich darf die Bollywoodmusik nicht fehlen.

Wieder einmal direkt ohne Lieferdienst bestellt. Klappt prima ohne Zwischenhändler, die nur die Restaurants abschöpfen. Die Speisen sind weithin auf gleichbleibend hohen Niveau zubereitet. Eines der wenigen Restaurants in Gotha welches ich regelmäßig besuche und guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen würde. Sehr leckeres essen, lediglich das Ambiente könnte noch ein wenig verbessert werden.

Das Essen war okay, die Portionen könnten jedoch etwas größer sein. Wir waren 17:30 Uhr da, das Restaurant war schon recht gut gefüllt, der Service schien damit und mit den parallelen außer-Haus-Lieferungen total überfordert. Das sah man auch extrem den Gesichtsausdrücken an. Willkommen fühlt man sich da nicht. Auch mit den Bestellungen war man überfordert und aufs Essen haben wir eine Stunde gewartet. Ambiente naja. Schade, aber meine Empfehlung gibt's nicht.

Super leckers Essen, große Auswahl an Gerichten, Schäfegrad der Speisen kann man selber wählen. Guter und schneller Service. Das beste, der Koch erkundigt sich zum Schluss ob alles OK war mit dem Essen. Preislich auch im Rahmen für fünf Personen + je ein Getränk keine 100€. Das Lokal ist weiter zu empfehlen.

Wir waren an einem Dienstagabend gegen 17:30 Uhr im Restaurant. Wir waren die einzigen mit noch einem besetzten Tisch. Aber nach kurzer Zeit füllte sich das Restaurant schnell. Wir wurden schnell bedient und die Getränke und das Essen kamen auch fix an den Tisch. Es wurde vorab vom Restaurant eine kleine Vorspeise mit 3 verschiedenen Dips und Papadam serviert, welche sehr lecker waren (kostenlos). Die Hauptspeise wurde in einer erhöhten Schale mit teelicht serviert. Eine große Schale Reis dazu und lauwarmes Naan Brot. Es war alles sehr hübsch anzuschauen und es hat auch fantastisch geschmeckt. Die Portionen sehen auf Anhieb nicht groß aus, aber der Schein trügt man wird mehr als satt. Das Restaurant ist auch indisch eingerichtet und dekoriert - sehr gerne wieder!.

Wir waren jetzt mehrmals dort essen. Auch draussen sitzt man nett. Der Service ist freundlich und bisher hat alles sehr gut geschmeckt. Schade, dass es in Erfurt nicht auch so einen guten "Inder" gibt.

Das Restaurant war gut besucht und trotzdem kam das Essen und die Getränke immer sehr schnell. Geschmack war lecker, auch die Menge passte zum Preis. Für uns eine klare Empfehlung.
