The Hakiki branch on Leopoldplatz in Berlin-Wedding offers kebab dishes with well-seasoned and juicy meat. The bread is toasted crispy, the salad is fresh and the sauces, especially the spicy version, are tasty. However, it should be noted that only cash payment is accepted at this location; Card payment is not possible. There may also be waiting times as the snack bar is often busy. Another point concerns the portion size: Some guests find the standard size of the kebab to be a bit small and therefore recommend the “Big Döner” for a more filling enjoyment. Compared to the Hakiki branch on Joachimsthaler Straße on Kurfürstendamm, differences in taste were found. Some guests report that the meat there doesn't always have the same typical Hakiki taste. Overall, the Hakiki branch at Leopoldplatz offers a solid kebab option with a few aspects to consider depending on individual preferences
I placed an order at 3:50 p.m. for 4:35 p.m. via Lieferando. Unfortunately I am very dissatisfied with the delivery and the quality of the food. The driver arrived significantly late (5:00 p.m.) even though the order was placed early. When the food finally arrived, it was not only cold but also completely inedible. On the pizza we ordered there were hot jalapeños instead of the pepperoni specified, which was not what was ordered. There was also a spicy sauce on the kebab, even though the kebab wasn't specified as spicy in the description. Overall, the food was extremely unappetizing.
The food doesn't taste any better on site.
It took a good half hour before ordering. After we triggered the delivery time was suddenly 1 ½ hours. We called to see if that was correct since we have children there, otherwise we would have canceled. On the phone they said it would take an hour. After 1 ½ hours there was still nothing, we called again and were told food was on the way. After 2 hours we called again and the same statement. After more than 2 hours we received the food, which was still at room temperature, some of it was already cold. Absolute no-go. Delays can happen, but then you shouldn't lie to customers. If it hadn't been about the children, I would have given the driver the food back. Definitely not there anymore!
The best of all Berlin!!!
The team is adorable 🩷
I cross Berlin on each of my visits to eat here at MERCAN DÖNER
Avoid the tourist machine (Mustafa gemüse) which is really the worst I have eaten.
Good doner for 7.50€ - accepts Visa cards!
There are tables - where they will bring you if you sit down early.
I took a mix of sauces, the kebab was fried well, the meat was fried well, they put enough, there was a lot of salad. I recommend it!
Sorry, but that's really bad.
The flatbread for the kebab wasn't toasted, so it was mushy and difficult to eat. The meat was barely cooked, or rather, very light and soft. The "garlic sauce" lacked a garlic flavor, but was strangely yellow and had dill in it, wtf...for 7.50, not exactly a bargain.
Doubly sad, since I remembered the place as "Cetos Döner," and the kebab was really good back then :(
