Unfortunately, it wasn't right for me. I would have liked chicken schnitzel instead of pork, but they don't have that. In general, it's very pork-heavy there. It would be nice if the menu was changed a bit. Also for vegetarians. The staff were nice and the food was OK. The price was OK too. But we were unlucky in that there was a very loud lady at the next table who was making noise throughout the room. And she was talking about politics, too. I would have liked the staff to have pointed out to the lady that it was disturbing, especially since everyone was annoyed.

According to the website, waffles will be available from 2:30 p.m. Today the weather was great, so we hiked to Klippenberg. Unfortunately, the waffles shouldn't be made until after 3 p.m. It's a shame, nothing is more useless than an outdated website. Unfortunately, there have been problems here several times. Then suddenly there was no problem with the waffle at all. Well, in the end what counts is that the guest is satisfied, and we were!

It was very nice, food tasted very good. The portions were huge, you really should be very hungry. If you can't make it, you can just have the rest packed up.

The employees are very friendly. Card payment only possible from 10 euros! Even though it wasn't busy, we had to wait a long time for three drinks (obviously they had forgotten about us because we were asked twice if we had already ordered). All of this can be forgiven because the employees put in a lot of effort. But the situation with the toilets is really bad. It smells really terrible. Some of the toilet seats are broken. It's just dirty and disgusting. And then you also have to pay €0.50 to use the toilet (here I assume that it is intended for people who don't use the restaurant). Whatever the case, this is in no way justified. Not for the condition of these toilets.

Good restaurant with friendly service

As always, very good and tasty food. The tables are very nicely decorated. The staff is attentive and very nice. We always enjoy coming back there.

We spent a really nice evening here with very good food. The price-performance ratio is very good, also because you can have a salad from the buffet with almost every main course. We particularly remember the very warm service.

The shop looks like a village pub from the outside, but the inside of the Zum Treppchen restaurant is lovingly designed with large olive trees, an atmospheric light installation and decoration. In summer there is a great terrace where you can stay longer. The store was always well stocked, which speaks for itself. The food is prepared by trained chefs and you won't find ready-made sauces or bad ingredients. I can highly recommend the schnitzels. But there are also delicious salads, burgers and pasta. The cuisine is home-style and there are seasonal dishes. A highlight of the drinks is the beer from Andechs Monastery in Bavaria. The wine list is rather small, but that probably suits the audience (it's not a wine bar). Added to this is the attentive, friendly and fast service. It's best to reserve in advance as the store is often full. If something doesn't fit, you'll find a way there. I can't understand negative reviews in any way.

Very good German cuisine Kudos to the chef and his team

Don't understand all the reviews. The food used to be really good but it has deteriorated so much. Had a Jägerschnitzel where I had to look for mushrooms. The waitresses are in an absolutely bad mood and you can tell that they don't feel like it. We didn't feel welcome. And what's not possible is when you go out to eat in a restaurant and feel cold. That's it for us.

The Deutsches Haus in Reckenfeld is exactly what you imagine a good German restaurant to be: honest food, decent portions and prices that are still reasonable. There's nothing with fancy decorations on the plate here - what counts here is what tastes good. And it does! Whether it's schnitzel, roast meat or a cold beer - you'll be full and happy here. If you're looking for small portions, you're in the wrong place here. But if you have to open the buttons on your pants after a hearty meal, you've come to the right place! Clear recommendation! 🍻

Very good cuisine, I tasted it without knowing that a woman was cooking there, I had a paprika schnitzel, there was fresh paprika in the sauce and everything else was perfectly seasoned in terms of seasoning, nothing more is possible, thank you for the enjoyment!!👍👍👍
