We went there with friends, and it was really delicious. 😊 The wait was about 20-30 minutes, but trust me, it's worth the time. 😇 I can only recommend it, and we'll be eating there more often now. 👍

Wir hatten einen angenehmen Aufenthalt im Gesellenhaus. Der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Speisen wurden stil voll serviert ohne lange Wartezeiten für die Zubereitung. Preis und Leistung stimmen. Wir werden sicherlich wieder ins Restaurant kommen.

We spent a great evening in the mousetrap. The historic building has great charm, the service was very warm and the food was excellent. Lots of homemade specialties that someone has put a lot of thought and passion into. We will come back!

I haven't been a guest at the inn yet and, based on my experience with the service, I definitely never will be. Last Friday my mother-in-law was out with my two-year-old son in the Ruhr when he got severe stomach pain, wouldn't stop crying and didn't want to ride his balance bike anymore. My mother-in-law then asked in the restaurant in question whether she could store the walker bike in the inn for about an hour, as there was no way she could carry both of them home. The employee then replied that this was only possible for paying guests. He saw how desperate my mother-in-law was with my crying child in her arms and then became rude when she dared to ask if she could leave the bike for just a short while. I think that's an absolute nonsense and a reason for me never to want to be a guest there. She was then allowed to store the bike in the police station.

We were guests with a larger group. The beer garden is beautiful and invites you to linger. Unfortunately, the dishes were on a completely different level. The pork medallions with mushroom sauce were almost unseasoned, and the sauce was more like a roux and very mushy. The spaetzle also stuck together and tasted good when reheated. The turkey schnitzels were too salty, and only one of the three steaks was cooked to medium. I also found the prices of the asparagus dishes too high; a portion of asparagus with a 150-180g sirloin steak and potatoes costs €38.00. The service was also semi-professional in terms of competence and friendliness. I got my Pilsner on the third attempt, after being brought Alster and Radler, but only because I swapped with my colleague. Conclusion: The beer garden's cozy atmosphere makes it perfect for a drink. If you're looking for something to eat, we recommend other locations.
